Avalon Manor is situated on the main drag and it's busy but you wouldn't know it from inside the rooms, they must be double glazed windows. It was very quiet. The room had a small kitchenette and was outfitted for use. The bathroom was big, as was the shower. It felt like the tile floor had floor heating, it was... More

My brother and I stayed here on route to the Able Tasman area. It is well positioned and was clean, tidy and suited our needs for the evening. There were even cooking facilities here, so my brother took it upon himself to make us a cooked breakfast before our kayaking experience, not sure if that was such a good move.... More

My partner and I stayed in the large twin studio. We arrived around 5.30pm and left early the next morning. There were plenty of parking outside the room. It was quiet even tho we were close to the main road. The room was very spacious and had a great kitchen if we wanted to cook dinner. The room decor felt... More

Pleasant stay in a nice motel. Nice outlook over the vines. Had a disabled unit so the bathroom always feels a little odd. Comfy seating, tv, nice wee kitchen. Lovely to have the separate living, bedroom. Fairly pricey for this small town, but on a par with NZ tourist spot pricing.

Within walking distance of the town centre. Very spacious apartment with full kitchen facilities and laundry. Ideal for our trip into Abel Tasman. Good value for money and well equipt. We used as a base for a sailing trip in Abel Tasman and found it a great base. Would stay for longer if in the area again.

We stayed here for one night. Very clean, new and big rooms, big bathroom, too. All perfect except that they only have Queen size beds. Otherwise, it would be 5*. Jane is a very nice and friendly host .

We had a great stay at the motel for 3 nights. The manager was very friendly. The room was huge and had great air con which was very important to us! You can also borrow dvds and there was a very good selection. Location is great for popping into town.

Motueka is not the most exciting town in NZ but Avalon Manor lifts it to another level For our two night stay we had a very spacious two bedroom apartment and, in sweltering heat, a beautiful secluded balcony looking out on kiwi fruit framed by hills. Very relaxing. The manager was friendly and helpful at all times and laundry facilities... More

I am just finishing my 2 night stay. The room was beautiful and clean, the best I have stayed in, in over a month. We were very pleased with our stay at the Avalon. The owners keep it immaculate, there is a spotless bbq area for guest use, and a clothesline is available. The rooms are spacious and breezy. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning and due to a lack of privacy (you can see from the parking area directly into the second floor... More
