We were at Pelicano from Jan 7th thru 14th. The resort's building style is authentic looking, but with aged beauty. We requested for near the pool, and we received. Ground floor. It smelt a little musty the night we came in, but it had just finished raining, and after that day didn't smell at all. Ladies that clean the rooms...

We went to Hotel Pelicano last November for two weeks. When some friends asked if we wanted to go again in February we said yes immediately. Hotel Pelicano is a welcoming resort with a nice ambience. It is not especially fancy, but it is clean and friendly. The staff is nice and the food's not bad. Cayo Largo is an...

Good review John B! Difficult to add something more…. We booked this hotel for last 2 weeks of December only based on the reviews. I thought it can be a bit risky but the reality proven it was very good choice. Of course the level of the satisfaction can vary depending of your expectations. We had none. That’s why we...

I would of given this property a better rating if it was not for the poor quality of the food along with the inconsistency of the selection; the transporation problems; the water problems and some of the attitudes of the staff(Zun Zun and Los Quelonios Restaurants and the excursions that just were not happening!) and the poor exhange rate at...

Just spent 2 great weeks at Pelicano, Dec 2 - 16,2016. It was our 6th time there and 1st time under the new Gran Caribe administration. The new owners have made some improvements. A new covered eating spot between the Rabchon restaurant and the beach with room for 8 picnic tables. By the pool the spa deck has been renovated...

It is my second time at this hotel, I was there in April 2016 and back in November 2016 and my overall experience was great. The food was fantastic, lots of choice, and the staff is very friendly and accomodating. The only negative thing I have to say is that the hotel needs a face lift (inside and out) but...

We were invited to join a group of friends for a week at Hotel Pelicano. We had never heard of Cayo Largo, but given the great price we were all in. Notwithstanding the flight was not direct or on time we got there (after 9pm) and we're shown to our rooms. We got settled and hurried to the buffet for...

If you're looking for a couples retreat, or just slightly higher quality in general, I would recommend booking Sol Cayo Largo instead. We snuck over to Sol Cayo Largo a couple of times and can say that it was definitely better. It was more secluded and cleaner plus the food was way better. For the most part, we didn't have...

I stayed in Sol Pelicano in March/April 2016. My room was literally 30 seconds from the beach, I could hear the sound of the waves from my bed. The room was simple but with all the necessary for a perfect stay, clean, with bathroom amenities and enough space for 3 messy people. The restaurants and bars of the hotel are...
