We stayed at Le Manoir with a group of friends for a wedding in May and it was the perfect base for our trip. The setting is stunning and the house itself is a beautiful, classically French manor. It is well equipped for a relaxed group holiday with gorgeous pool, tennis court and en suite with each room. Lucy was so helpful in the lead up to our stay and recommended a number of local amenities including supermarkets, restaurants and boulangeries. Would highly recommend Le Manoir for an idyllic French escape.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful house with all our family. Lucy Sue and Steve were all extremely helpful planning our stay and easy to deal with and on hand during our stay. The pool area is fantastic with all manner of floats and plenty of sunloungers. The house is spacious comfortable and the decor is gorgeous. Tennis court is in good order and we were able to rent bikes locally very easily. The local Carrefour stocks everything you are likely to need and is only 1 km from the house. The surrounding areas is beautiful with lots of sunflower fields and safe quiet road to cycle on. It was perfect for a 60th birthday celebration with our family and granddaughter. Thankyou.

My daughter and I have just got back from a lovely restful week at Le Manoir . The pool was beautiful ,and very welcome as the weather was amazing every day ! The house had everything and more that we could possibly have wanted and the garden is lovely with an abundance of Tomatoes which we picked and ate daily . We had a car so enjoyed seeing the area nearby , especially Aubeterre which was well worth the visit and the city of Angouleme with great bars and restaurants not forgetting cakes to die for . Thanks for a brilliant week in a gorgeous house , Carolyn and Laura .

The trip was organised by my lovely niece for family and friends and has a knack of finding great places, I think even she will find this hard to beat. What can I say about our stay at Le Manoir de Blanzac Porcheresse, in a word, unforgettable. Sue and Richard were charming and attentive and the meal that they cooked for us, one night, was perfect The setting is lovely. Le Manoir is an authentic old manor house that has kept all of its old world natural charm. And is very well maintained. There is a small village nearby where you can buy the essentials (bread, cheese & wine). As for places to go to, you are spoilt for choice. If you get the impression that I had a fantastic week, you are correct.

We have just recently returned from a wonderful, wonderful week at Le Manoir! My husband and I hired the house for our first holiday with both of our families and we all had the most wonderful stay- despite the weather! I fell in love with the house as soon as I saw the photos on the Pure France website and I am very pleased to report that the house is even more amazing in real life! Le Manoir is just absolutely beautiful, from the moment you drive down the stunning driveway and are greeted by the house you know you are in for a great stay! Le Manoir has been beautifully decorated and Sue and her daughter really have thought of everything you could possibly want or need during your stay! I've never seen such a well stocked kitchen! I personally wanted to stay in every single bedroom as they were all so stunning and the large free standing baths are a wonderful addition to the bathrooms! The tennis courts and swimming pool were a huge hit with everyone and it was great as there's plenty of space so even with 12 of us staying in the house it never felt crowded or as though we were all on top of each other, there were plenty of spots in the garden to enjoy some peace and quiet and take in the beautiful countryside that surrounds the property. The small town of Blanzac Porcheresse is great for all the necessities required during your trip and we all very much enjoyed visiting the bakery each morning to collect fresh croissants and bread for the day ahead- everyone is still going on about how delicious the croissants were! Sue came and cooked dinner for us one evening during our stay, which was lovely as meant we could all relax and not have to worry about cooking or tidying up! The food Sue cooked for us was just delicious, the duck was out of this world as were the chocolate brownies! We all thoroughly enjoyed this very memorable evening! We really hope that we can visit again in the future as we all have such magical memories of our trip and were very sad to leave at the end of our week. Thank you again for everything and for making us feel so welcome! Lucy & Pete

11 of us celebrated a friends 70th birthday at the Manoir and had a wonderful weeks stay. Sue our host made us very welcome straight away and cooked us a super evening meal half way through our stay. Wow what a Chef. The Manoir provided everything we could wish for in the way of comfort and amenities over and above what we expected, and we would all like to return when another opportunity for a celebration presents it's self. Everything at the Manoir in the way it was furnished in each area was extremely good and thoughtfully chosen. The Tennis court , pool and grounds were well used as was the excellent Barbecue so we could not wish for anything more.

My partner and I recently enjoyed “a truly lovely stay” with our friends at the Le Manoir in Blanzac Porcheresse. Le Manoir is set in a peaceful and picturesque location just outside the village of Blanzac Porcheresse, great for relaxing with friends and family, or equally an ideal location for visiting the region. We stayed 3 nights . . . but wished it could have been longer . . . visiting La Rochelle, Angouleme, and the Cognac region during the day, and relaxing with good friends on an evening for a meal and a drink. Our room was “beautiful” and very spacious. We stayed in the attic room which had a super king bed, bath, walk in shower, toilet and his and her wash basins, however, you would not be disappointed with any of the rooms as they are all elegantly decorated. Fabulous accommodation, great location . . . best stay ever . . . look forward to visiting again. Would highly recommend.

What a stunning house, and set in a truly beautiful area. The rooms are nicely decorated and furnished, the welcome is very friendly, with plenty of local information available, clean and spacious, we loved it. There are vineyards open for tasting/purchasing a short car ride away, a great countryside feel to the area. We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet sitting outside and taking in the scene.

Stunning accommodation - a real wow factor when you drove up the drive and it didn't disappoint when you got inside. The spacious downstairs living area opens out onto a lovely veranda, overlooking the pool, which we used for nearly all our alfresco meals. The generous sized pool and comfortable sun loungers meant you didn't have to go far to relax. The bedrooms, all with well appointed ensuite were individually decorated with lots of lovely little touches giving it that luxurious feel. A car is a must as it is a great base to visit lots of lovely villages, towns and vineyards! We had a wonderful holiday and packed so much in but still had a relaxing time. Would definitely return at the drop of a hat or should that be the pop of a cork!!!
