Jicaro Lodge was the most amazing place we've ever travelled to, let me tell you.. the pictures and reviews don't do it justice of how breathtaking this place is! Where do I start? ... the staff, after your private boat tour from Granada you are greeted upon the island by the staff and served welcome drinks. 1. The staff are... More

Everything everyone has written is true, Jicaro is amazing. The Island is beautiful, the casitas are perfect, food is delicious but what makes it really magical are the wonderful staff. They are so happy and delightful and cannot do enough for you, we were so spoilt here. You sit down for a moment and iced water arrives, snacks also appear... More

This hotel is everything and then some. The staff was incredibly friendly, the casitas were modern yet rustic and the food was delicious. Staying in the two story casitas was such a fun experience for my fiancé and I. Every morning we would wake up to tea and pasties being delivered to our room while in the evening turn down... More

Jicaro Island lodge is fantastic. We booked a package of 5 nights including tours, massage, all food included a dinner at a floating deck in the moonlight! The package even included a transportation from and back to the airport. Everything - transportation, tours, food and lodging was delivered with highest class. Jicaro has a perfect location at a little, beautiful... More

Jicaro Island is Nicaragua's Shangri-La , this lush little Island provided a fantasy experience, and a much needed pampered retreat for my partner and I. The drive out to the dock took us along the lake where wild horses grazed, and herds of cattle ushered us along the way. The15 minute boat ride was such a wonderful experience of leaving... More

I'll start by saying in the last 6 months I've been to Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica and Belize. This resort has been the most memorable for many different reasons. From the start they set the bar of customer service. I'm picky about being treated like I'm on vacation and they do this with no hesitation. When we arrived we were... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and wished we had stayed for more!! After being let down by the service at our stay at Mukul, we were relieved to be met at the dock with smiling faces and a "happy anniversary"! We were given a delicious welcome drink and given a tour of the island. The little two... More

Even though the heat and humidity was a bit of a shock to our Pacific Northwest systems my husband and I had a lovely time on the Island. In fact the heat immediately took the wind out of our sails and forced us to slow our usual speed of light vacation mode to a relaxing pace, you know, Lie in... More

I've been to Nicaragua and the isletas many times in the last 40 years, but this was the experience to top them all. Jicaro is perfection. We were so impressed from the moment of arrival -- to intriguing grass tea with Flor de Cana rum and cool wet towels to freshen up -- until we left three days later. Every... More
