Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our second stay whilst visiting nearby relatives. Absolutely tip top small B and B run by hands on owner Susan. Highly experienced and it shows. Spotless, breakfast cooked to order. Off steet parking in a courtyard. Warm and inviting. Water and chocolate bar left in room. Faultless.

Really enjoyed my one night stay over here, following a stay at Champneys Springs. The hotel which is located in the village of Ibstock in the heart of Leicestershire. The place was quaint with a lot of original features of the original Post House. Our room couldn’t be faulted and the breakfast in the morning was totally delicious. This place is located next to a working mail delivery office, so bear in mind that they start early. Worth a visit 👍

Very comfortable, clean and welcoming. Susan was very accommodating when we requested an early breakfast in order to do one of the 9am local parkruns. Couldn't fault it. Highly recommended. We'll be back!

was visiting a few places in this area so booked a one night stay. found it ok using satnav. there's a safety gate at the front so cars can be parked safely. the small door in the bedroom to get into the bathroom was quirky and we loved it but i felt glad i wasn't six foot 5. liked the bedroom and the style of the place. bed was very comfy. also liked the lamps. breakfast was lovely. big thumbs up for the brek. nice little extras. with the usual tea and coffee were small chocolate bars and also the brek choice was great. could not fault it here. great. would definitely return

Thank you once again Susan for your outstanding hospitality. What a difference you've made to the property in such a short time. I was made feel much safer, not that I ever felt unsafe, with the beautiful gates you've installed. I didn't even realise it mattered, you did, you think of everything. The room was very clean and welcoming, beautiful fluffy towels adorned with a little bar of delicious chocolate. For me, the room was just a bit too warm, but that's me and it very easily rectified by being able to turn the temperature down or off at the radiator. As usual the breakfast had a fantastic choice and the cooked elements were piping hot and fresh. Susan, you make a fabulous scrambled eggs. I do love even though this is on the hight street it's so quiet and peaceful, apart from my husband snoring !! Would I stay again? I wouldn't think twice about it, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Susan was an incredibly kind woman and host. The prices were incredibly reasonable. And location was easy to find, we didn’t expect how beautiful and clean it was, it has won a ton of awards and the breakfast was a stunning full English. I told Susan it was my partners birthday and asked if there were any additions she could do that I could pay for, by the time we’d arrived I’d completely forgotten the request. She had upgraded us, left individual chocolates on our beds. Attached two balloons to the lights and left wine and a card. This she did at No asking or prompting, she said if she’s knows it’s a guests birthday she goes out of her way to add little touches. We were completely blown away, she told us about local restaurant recommendations, and a bit about the area. She was informative and friendly, and cooked the most delicious food you’d probably pay through the nose for at a restaurant that was included in our stay, I asked if I could pay anything more and she simply informed me and my partner to enjoy our stay, it was a complete hidden gem we would 100% stop there again, never have we had such friendly and professional service.
