A very nice hotel, even if you don't play golf! We only stayed 2 nights but found the room clean and tidy and the dining room very welcoming, Exceptional value for a 4 star hotel. We went on a 2 nights for the price of one deal, only available out of season of course, but the attractive grounds and golf... More

Excellent service, lovely public rooms especially with Christmas decorations up. I have stayed before and ask for a room that is not refurbished ...hence amazing value for money with lots of space, opening windows, bath, desk, what more could I want? Ok these rooms are not designer or pristine but they have comfy clean beds, all facilities and space, some... More

Spent three nights and played four rounds of golf on a nice golf course in late november 2016 with two friends. Hotel small and cosy. Service was excellent (bar a little expensive). Food was excellent and golf course in good condition considering time of year.

The hotel was average, our family room was very cramped, no room to swing a cat. Breakfast for 2 adults and a child was £40 If you have to leave early be careful they don't try to say you never left your keys, and then shaft you for another £50

The room decor was a cross between classic and the sixties. Ugh. The room was clean room and there was a nice bathroom but the chairs in the pub are disgustingly dirty. The ceiling is ready to drop plaster; the lights are dirty. Thread bare carpets, as others have noted. Smokers are allowed to stand just outside the doors, so... More

We were here recently for a 50th birthday party, and stayed over. The party night was great, the hotel was not. Initial impressions were Ok, however the bar was full of fat, loud, messy & scruffy golfers, I am a golfer & was appalled. Our room was ok, large but no hot water in the morning, unbelievable. Breakfast was barely edible,... More

Excellent food and great service, staff polite and friendly. Prices reasonable and plenty of parking available. You didn't feel rushed and had time between dishes. Once eaten it was nice to retire to the bar lounge and continue chilling.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times, booked by the company - not my choice. I'll start with the positive, finally they have got round to having wifi access that doesn't require you to get a password on a bit of paper every day - a positive step! That is where it ends. OK, so from the drive... More

Our society stayed on Sunday night with golf beforehand . Evening meal and breakfast with golf on Monday morning. This was a great package and we were looked after very well. The pro shop couldn't do enough for us. The same for All the staff. The food was good and rooms were comfortable. The course was in good condition apart... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coulsdon Manor is set amidst 140 acres of landscaped Surrey parkland, a large part of it laid down as a challenging 18-hole, providing an oasis of peace and tranquility. Built in the 1850s for Lord Byron and his family, the manor house has been restored to its former glory as well as being sensitively extended. You will now discover a country house flavour reflected in the beautiful woodwork and furnishings, whilst the modern glass atrium lends a light and airy feel. Relax during your stay with a stroll around the grounds with its fine collection of rare trees, take tea on the patio or enjoy a round of golf on the challenging 18 hole course, par 70, stretching over 6073 yards, before sampling the many amenities of the leisure club. ... more   less
