We've just returned from a lovely weekend at Coulsdon Manor. I made a mistake when booking, only booking a double room when we needed an extra bed for our daughter but the staff immediately move us to a lovely larger room. They were kind and helpful, as were the restaurant staff and the food was brilliant. We'll be going back!

I stayed at the Coulsdon Manor in Sept. I had a suite, which was huge and well furnished. The bathroom was good, with separate bath and shower, so you had both options. The hotel is at the centre of a golf course, so there's plenty of nice outside space and the noise of south London is a distant hum. We...

Stayed here over New Years Eve for a night with a large group of family. Lovely hotel with great staff. The manager was kind enough to refund our second night as we had to go home early due to my mother being ill. He did not need to do this as the cancellation period had passed so this was very...

I played here last week and what a poor experience that was from poor condition tee area that resembled a grassed area in the local woods not somewhere to try and hit a golf ball from. To full rubbish bins and what can only be described as a scrap yard on the left whilst walking down the 10th ! The...

Me and my partner stayed for one night, we arrived in the dark and it looked very mysterious and magical as it's an old building which we loved. Inside the reception area was nice, as you get further away it looks slightly worn as in the carpets and things. The room was a good large size with a refrigerator, lovely...

Visited hotel and used as a base for attending a friends 60th. Nicely appointed hotel in lovely grounds. Traditional style with good sized reception rooms and generally quite well maintained. Bed rooms a good size and nicely appointed with large bathrooms and comfortable beds and furnishings. Were a little concerned about being disturbed at night as we could hear quite...

Hotel set up was nice with pretty building and surroundings but hotel inside had its faults. Hotel was cold, food was overpriced and processed half ready made tasteless 'stuff' that has no freshness in. Room was dated and had a worst sleep in ages in bed that's mattress was as hard as sleeping on the floor and pillows as flat...

A very nice hotel, even if you don't play golf! We only stayed 2 nights but found the room clean and tidy and the dining room very welcoming, Exceptional value for a 4 star hotel. We went on a 2 nights for the price of one deal, only available out of season of course, but the attractive grounds and golf...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coulsdon Manor is set amidst 140 acres of landscaped Surrey parkland, a large part of it laid down as a challenging 18-hole, providing an oasis of peace and tranquility. Built in the 1850s for Lord Byron and his family, the manor house has been restored to its former glory as well as being sensitively extended. You will now discover a country house flavour reflected in the beautiful woodwork and furnishings, whilst the modern glass atrium lends a light and airy feel. Relax during your stay with a stroll around the grounds with its fine collection of rare trees, take tea on the patio or enjoy a round of golf on the challenging 18 hole course, par 70, stretching over 6073 yards, before sampling the many amenities of the leisure club. ... more   less
