Built on the gentle slopes of Kalami Bay, between centuries old olive groves, San Antonio Corfu Resort impresses with its' magnificent views over the sea and the small fishing village. Right across the bay, lays Gerald Durrell's white house by the sea and at the foothills of the resort a stone pebbled beach with crystal clear water suggests plenty of quality time under the sun. The typically Mediterranean architecture and the amphitheatrically set room blocks ensure a small village-style setting with nothing to obstruct the ever-present views. The spacious rooms have large balconies, unpretentious design and every facility needed for a carefree summer holiday by the sea. Right at the middle level of the resort, lays one of the most stunning swimming pools on the island, hanging over the majestic bay. An ideal hotspot not only for swimming and sunbathing during the day but for sipping a cool cocktail from the cozy bar during the evening under the clear moonlight. The San Antonio Resort's restaurant offers its culinary treats next to a second swimming pool at the foot of the olive grove, next to the bay. A warm "kalimera" from our passionate local staff welcomes you to the extensive breakfast buffet served daily full of fresh produce from the Corfiot land and everything needed for one to start a great day on the island. The menus for lunch and dinner include healthy Mediterranean delicacies and superb Corfiot specialties with a twist of creativity by our chefs. The new Beach Bar-Restaurant is the ideal choice for bathers, as it offers the most refreshing drinks, various tasty snacks and light meals right on the beach. As the sun goes down, music enlivens the senses with live events organized by the hotel for its discerning guests. For those more active, the hotel beach offers water sports possibilities like water-skiing, paragliding, fun rings, banana rides, canoeing and sea cycling, but if you just want to find your own personal corner on a secluded beach or simply spend the day at the sea there is nothing like hiring a motor boat for yourself from the bay and make your own exploration. Our fully informed reception or service personnel will be glad to assist with ideas, options plus their valuable local information and suggestions. A short ride away lays the bustling little town of Kassiopi, a vibrant cosmopolitan hotspot for shopping, traditional restaurants and a healthy nightlife for all ages. San Antonio Corfu resort is perfectly located to take advantage of what the whole island of Corfu has to offer. Distance from Corfu town, the port and Corfu's international airport is just 32 km (transfer time approx. 45 minutes).

Amazing room. Amazing views on the Kalami bay and we could see The White House restaurant (the Durells house). Super luxurious hotel with two pools one on the ground floor/sea level, the other one on the top roof with magnificent views onto the bay and on the Med. breakfast buffet were out of this world, with so much variety and to suit all dietary requirements. The hotel is located on a steep hill, with quite a few steps. So if you are not able and fit be aware. There is a buggy that takes you to the mid way point where the lifts are, but still. You need to walk up stairs to get to your room unless you are on the lower levels. The beach is just outside the hotel gate at the bottom level. You have to pay €15 a day for two sunloungers and a complimentary drink, we did not use them as we were based at the pool and went to the sea when we fancied a dip in the Big Blue. We loved it so much that I booked another week next summer in August again. Sun, Sea and Seafood galore in August. Perfect bliss. Slight downside, the distance to the airport, so the transfer could be expensive by taxi, we did it by Autocar from the airport (fraction of the price of a taxi, slightly longer though as the bus stops in various towns to drop off holidaymakers). Kalami bay by far the best bay on Corfu. We rented a car through the hotel at a very reasonable price for 24h to tour the island, that’s why we can say Kalami is a hidden gem and I hope it stays this way. It is very low key with a handful of restaurants and not a very boisterous nightlife. But that’s what we liked! Go elsewhere on Corfu if you want to dance or go out in bars at night. Quaint and quiet pace in Kalami 💕

Just returned from the hotel after a week's stay with my husband. The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms are stylish. Our room (508) was on one of the highest levels and had an amazing view from the large balcony. The room was clean and modern and the bed very comfortable. We found the bathroom set up a bit odd at first as there is no privacy from the main part of the room as the glass shower door opens up into the bedroom. Fine for a couple but could be awkward if staying with a friend. There was a proper hairdryer provided and a kettle and nespresso maker. The upper pool and pool bar was lovely with amazing views. We managed to get Sunbeds no problem each day but I can imagine it gets tricky in high season. We also used the beach sun beds one day for €15 for two. The hotel is built into the hillside so it's very steep getting up to your room but we found it fine as a couple in our early 50's. From the main entrance there is a steep driveway up to the reception area and then you continue up the steep hill to the lifts which then take you up 5 floors . ( you could get a ride in a buggy up to the lifts if you wanted to ) There is then another small set of steps that take you up to the pool and another long flight of steps that took us up to our room. Above our room was another set of steps which take you to the main road above Kalami and the top parking area. So yes lots of climbing but we didn't find it difficult at all. Parking is available at the top of the hill and also down in Kalami in the reserved spaces just before the main entrance or in the first carpark that you see as you drive into the village. Breakfast was good but the service could be friendlier. We did find the service in the restaurants slightly lacking even though the food in both was great. The chef is clearly very talented but the service didn't quite match up. We wondered if this was just because it was end of season and everyone was winding down. We had a lovely and peaceful holiday and wouldn't hesitate to book again next time we plan a trip to Corfu.

Dear sarahcP1928TY, Thank you for being our Guest, and for the 5-star rating! We are very glad that you loved the style of our newly renovated rooms and appreciated the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the resort. San Antonio is definitely a unique setting, and the steep hill is surely compensated by the enchanting views of the blue and majestic bay! Kindly note that all your comments have been well noted! We always welcome all constructive criticism, as it helps us to improve further our services and facilities. We are happy to read that you enjoyed your holiday with us, and we look forward to welcoming back on your next visit to Corfu! Warm Greetings from Kalami, Danai Asoniti & San Antonio Team

My mum & I spent a week at San Antonio Resort, Kalami at the beginning of October. We were impressed by the standard of cleanliness in the hotel & communal areas, and the location in Kalami was perfect for a relaxing break. There were 3 or 4 tavernas to choose from in Kalami, & more in neighbouring bays (though not all were open in the evenings as it was the last week in the season). The restaurants at the hotel served delicious food, and breakfast offered a wide choice of hot & cold dishes (including plenty of veggie/vegan options). Being the only hotel open in the bay mean we often bumped into other guests at the different tavernas, which gave it a friendly atmosphere. The hotel staff were helpful with making bookings for various places. We caught the local service bus to Corfu Town which was a bit of a mission on the return journey as the bus leaves from the main Green Bus terminus which is about a 15-20 min walk from the main town: booking a boat trip would have been more straightforward and fun, although, admittedly, not the cheapest option. We hired a motor boat for the day from The White House (from €80 plus fuel, with price increase for more powerful motors). This was great fun and a highlight of the trip. The 2 pools at the hotel were very chilly & we didn't quite make it in, but the sea was clear & calm so we spent most days on the beach instead (beach shoes for pebbles made it much easier to access the water). Sunbeds were €15 for 2 per day which we didn't mind paying (often the case on European beaches), though I know some people feel they should be free for hotel guests. A bottle of water & a coffee were included. There have been several posts that mention the hill/slope from the hotel reception/breakfast room to the lifts, which could be a drag for people with mobility issues, or for those who tire easily walking up hill. My 77 year old mum managed it (albeit with occasional stops on hotter days), but there was always the offer of a lift in a golf-cart if we wanted it. All in all, a very pleasant, relaxing stay and good value for money. We hope to come back again sometime.

I genuinely have no idea why this place scores so well on TA. Sure, it’s not at all expensive but I’d much rather pay more and not have: - A really steep climb up to most rooms. - A really poor standard of room (which was billed as a suite). Travel Lodges and Premier Inn’s have bigger bathrooms and better air con! - Painfully slow service at breakfast and at their bar/restaurant across the road. Probably because the kitchen is on the other side of the road, or up the hill. The front entrance of the resort and the reception look great but it’s a mirage.

Dear HuntersWood, It is good to know that you found our hotel reception and common areas to your liking. While we appreciate your taking the time to share your experience at the San Antonio Corfu, we were surprised by your appraisal of our 4-star Resort and would like to take this opportunity to address certain points for the sake of our other guests and reviewers. Kindly note that San Antonio is very highly rated and recommended with enthusiasm by the vast majority (almost 90% !!!) of our Guests and we have avid fans that keep returning to the Hotel year after year (and sometimes twice a year!). I am sure they do have “an idea” why the love this place so much and consider it a “hidden gem” or “a piece of paradise”..!! We regret that you did not appreciate the prime sea front location, the recently renovated accommodation and facilities and our devoted and highly efficient staff members who constantly strive to provide the best and most personalized services. Most of our Guests choose the hotel for this very reason: the relaxing and friendly atmosphere and its prime seafront location, that offers 180 degrees unobstructed breathtaking views of the magical bay. All that compensates for not having the easy access to your room that you may have had in other locations. In any case, we respect your opinion and thank you for your review, as even isolated negative feedback is taken into consideration to deepen our understanding of guest experiences and assist us in maintaining the quality assurance of a 4-Star Hotel. Kind regards, Danai Asoniti & San Antonio Team

My husband and myself spent 4 nights in the San antonio hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt very relaxed. The whole place is peaceful and in a very quiet setting. The sea views from all the hotel rooms are amazing. We had a view of the bay looking towards the white house. The rooms are comfortable and have tea/coffee making facilities. They give you 2 bottles of water every day in your room also . In the bathroom they supply all toiletries except hair conditioner . Slippers and bathrobes are in the wardrobe and they also supply a plug in bug killer but I would recommend bringing some mosquito spray with you. In the morning at breakfast you find your own table, the table server is quick with your drinks and is also quick to fill your mugs up. There is a large choice for breakfast, its a hot and cold buffet style breakfast and for us there was never an issue finding something to enjoy to eat each morning. We opted to stay half board as we weren't sure what was in the village ( a few tourist shops, a few supermarkets and a few places to eat).. the evening food although limited on choice was of a good standard and every meal we chose we both enjoyed, not fine dining but filling and tasty. We did eat in the beach restaurant one lunchtime and the pizza was good. The sunbeds on the beach cost €15 a day to hire (€15 was for 2 beds plus a parasol) but for that you get a bottle of chilled water and either a soft drink like a coke or a hot drink so it's not too bad although this is the first hotel we've stayed in that we've had to pay for the beach beds connected with the hotel. If you chose to stay here bear in mind its built on a hillside so a little level of fitnes is needed , but once you get to the first level there are lifts to all the floors if you dont want to take the steps. all in all we enjoyed our stay here ,its not the best hotel we've stayed in but it's the worse either, but we did come home feeling very relaxed and Kalmi beach and the scenery is stunning.

Nice hotel with lovely views. Very quiet and no kids. Room was comfortable but the bed wasn’t. Be careful with bugs and mosquitoes in the area, you will need bug spray. The breakfast was adequate and service was fine. The food was generally bland and lukewarm at best. We often skipped. The restaurant across the road from the hotel was very good and service was fine. WIFi was fairly consistent. We had a car which was very good as we could explore other areas and get some good food and entertainment. Pool area is fine, water is cold. Loungers fill up quickly. Not sure if I would recommend or return but overall decent stay.
