We stayed in a lovely big family room with en suite facilities. Great breakfast - cereals, fruit juice, full cooked breakfast, fruit, toast. Nice location in the heart of Hartington - a lovely village to stay with access to some very nice walks. Genuinely lovely hosts made us feel so welcome. Thank you so much for such a pleasant stay

We have just returned from a birthday celebration for my husband along with 7 friends so we 'took over' Bank House where we have stayed on many occasions over 30 years. Helen and Steve were wonderful hosts and we had a fantastic time. As ever , the rooms and breakfasts were great and we were able to use the lounge...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bank House. The house itself is beautiful, but our hosts made the stay. They were accommodating, eager to talk about the house, and seemed to just have a good time themselves. It was very nice.

We stayed at this guest house as we were as we were attending a wedding in the village. Helen and Steve are just lovely and so accommodating. We stayed there for 2 night with an 15 month old and we felt very much at home. Would stay here again. Oh and the breakfast was lovely.

We stayed one night only after a long walk. We checked in early and had a bite to eat over the road and the owner came across to advise booking a table at the pub. We would be out on the walk when it opened and she did it for us. Great service and forethought for us. Room very comfortable...

Had an impromptu stay at Bank House when our originally booked accommodation turned out to be something much less than we were led to believe. Helen & Steve saved the day, however, providing a hearty welcome, equally hearty breakfasts, and the room was clean, cosy, quiet and comfortable. Friendly and flexible, nothing was too much trouble for them. Bank House...

Bank House has a perfect setting in the centre of Hartington. Friendly hosts with a sense of humour (read their website), comfortable bed and generous well-cooked breakfast - who could want anything more? There were a few minor matters that could be addressed including thin bath towels, some tired looking fruit for breakfast, having to ask for a toilet roll...

If you are looking for a modern trendy boutique B and B this is not the place for you. However if you are looking for somewhere welcoming, comfortable, spotlessly clean and a good hearty breakfast then this place is perfect. Situated right in the centre of the village approximately 50 yards from the pub where you can get a good...

We have stayed with Helen & Steve at Bank House more times than I can count over the past 10 years and must say each and every visit has been first class. Helen always makes us feel so welcome and comfortable that we return to our favourite part of Derbyshire again and again. The rooms are clean and cosy and...

I have just stayed here with two friends to go walking. The welcome was warm, the rooms lovely and the breakfast delicious. This was amazing value for money. It is the perfect base for walking and exploring the beauty of Derbyshire.
