Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Only been here a few days and we are so glad we booked 9 nights. The site is truly outstanding. Family-owned and so, so friendly. Spotless toilets and superb roomy showers. Added bonuses of sea views from every pitch, loads of space per pitch, handy fridges & freezer & microwave for communal use. 5 minute walk to a lovely beach. Shop just down the road. Perfectly placed for exploring the West Coast and islands. Views to die for. Thank you Duncan. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here last weekend. We’d been to the nearby and stunningly beautiful beach many times. The campsite is fairly large, not boggy and being near the sea the midges absent. Owner very friendly and cooking area and showers very modern and clean. Beautiful views to sea. Loved this place.

Been numerous times and keep going back. Ideal situation and such a helpful owner who works so hard to maintain a high standard both in the buildings but also around the site. Ready meals in the freezer a big asset

This place is just amazing.. Was with my sister in law and my 2 dogs.. Duncan and Elizabeth made us feel very welcome.. Large spaces between other vans... Beach 5 mins away and not that far from oban... A little gem of a place... Will be back in October. Thanks Duncan and Elizabeth

1 of the best touring campsites we have visited. Too many sites max the no of pitches & cramp you in but not here. Duncan makes sure there is a big gap between pitches. Duncan & Elizabeth keep the toilets and the site immaculate. Beech on mins away. Great value for money.

Just spent 3 nights at this lovely site and this was our third visit. We absolutely love it here. The site is the perfect spot to chill out and relax, with lovely views and easy access to the beach. Great place to stay if you have a dog and our dog Flynn loves it.The facilities are excellent. Duncan and his wife work really hard to keep the site in great condition. Hope to go back soon!

Spent a night here last week as part of our Scotland tour. Facilities are some of the cleanest we have ever seen. Very quiet at night. Pitches are well spaced out. It cost £1 for a ten minute shower but I thought it would have been better to offer five minutes for 50p. Short walk to the beach and other nice walks in the area. For us the only downside was the campsite owner's unease. He seemed to be constantly on guard which in turn rubbed off a bit on us causing us to not relax as much as we would normally. I can understand him being protective but we are after all on holiday to relax. It's a shame that the behaviour of the minority of campers spoiled it for the majority

Just spent a night at this exceptional site. Beautiful views over Tralee Bay, a short walk to a sandy beach (almost deserted), local chippy nearby. The owner has given his site the 5 star treatment. Toilets and showers are immaculate. You can buy frozen curries on site and reheat them eat in his small dining area, great if arriving unprepared. £18 for our campervan, plus 2 people and £1 for the showers. This site is a real treasure and we can't wait to return.

What a sensational campsite! Everything we had read about the proprietors, Duncan and Elizabeth - and the immaculate site they take loving care of - was absolutely true. The toilets and shower blocks are spotlessly clean, there is even a canteen kitchen area with a few fridges/freezers to store food in, a microwave and there are sockets to charge phones, etc, if you don’t select a pitch with an electrical hookup. Very convenient for Oban and the beach at Tralee is absolutely beautiful. We are already planning when we can return!
