we stayed for the last week of sept 2014 and found the previous review to be rather derogatory this B&B must be one of the nicest we have stayed in. Willie and June made us very welcome on arrival and did everything possible to make our stay good. With 3 cereals fresh fruit salad or yogurt or all three to...

Friendly, welcoming owner. Bedroom was clean and decorated in traditional B and B style. There was a small seating area and the shower was good although the bathroom itself was bit on the compact size. Main bugbear was the requirement that a cooked breakfast had to be ordered the night before which meant that by the time you arrived for...

This B&B is delightfully located between a field of sheep (with cute playful lambs in May) and a field with a highland cow (also with a wee one). It was fabulous to wake up to the sound of birds singing and lambs bleating in the distance. The owners took very good care of us and made us feel like we...

Great restaurant next door but its not affiliated w bnb so call restaurant separately and ull need reservations. We ended up eating at the oyster inn a few miles away and it was delicious....

Attending a family wedding at Barcaldine Castle in Benderloch, we pre-booked a twin room at Hawthorn Cottages for 2 nights B&B. Situated set back from the B road, and a mile or so from a beach, we were delighted as soon as we arrived. Very modern single floor building, we were met at the door by June, a lovely local...

Stayed three nights at this very welcoming B&B with bedroom, tv sitting room suite. Very good breakfasts and entertaining conversation with all! Restaurant two doors away for evening meal or picnic in the garden. Beach a short walk away. Self catering also available. Recommended.

Hawthorn Cottage offered several types of accommodations. We stayed in a room in the main house. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and had an attached sitting room and bathroom. Breakfast was typical for a B &B in Scotland. The only surprise for us was that it's about 10 miles outside of the city of Oban.

We stayed here whjen we were visiting relatives in the area. We had our 7 month old daughter with us and the owners were so welcoming and helpful. They provided a travel cot and we stayed in the double room with the lounge which was brilliant and meant that baby could sleep while we (quietly) watched tv in the lounge...
