The food is very very good. Not far away from the centre of the town but still quiet and tranquil. It is very clean and safe in the wau river lodge.it has a very nice pool eve though it may be small. I ould recommend this to anyone.

I have stayed here several times while working in Wau and have enjoyed the peace and quiet. The staff are incredibly professional and the food is very good. I highly recommend the tents, and as a single female traveling solo I found the whole property to be safe and relaxing. It is an easy walk to the Ministries in town,... More

Dear Susie, Thank you for your review. I was pleased to note that you enjoyed staying in our tents. At first thought this can be a daunting prospect but upon seeing them you realise that they are comfortable, safe and not your normal tent. Unfortunately I must report that Wau River Lodge is now closed for the foreseeable future but... More

After spending a few years in SSudan, I am in Wau for six months. Although Wau is a big by SS standards, there are not many places for expats to hang out. I was enchanted by the old colonial style and the garden of the river lodge on the first visit. I tried and liked the food on the second... More

Wau River Lodge is a great place to stay in Wau. It is well located, clean, quiet and very nicely done. I always stay in the safari tents, which are very comfortable. The hotel has a nice little pool and is set in a lovely garden. Very relax.

Just finished a 10 day trip in South Sudan. Stayed at this hotel. I have stayed in many other hotels in South Sudan on business and this one is a true oasis. I agree, lovely spot on the banks of the Jur river. Frequented mostly by members of the aid agency community. Good food, daily changing menu, nice bar, nice ambiente, good swimming pool, very friendly staff. Its probably the best you can get anywhere in South Sudan, and it comes with the typically overpriced tag of South Sudan as well. But... More

Lovely spot overlooking the Jur River. Beautiful rooms decorated with local crafts. Great staff and a good restaurant given Wau's remoteness and supply issues! Go for the riverside VIP room for best hippo viewing. Would recommend to all travellers.
