My family went on a two week trip with Wolfhound Adventure Tours and we got to stay here. The family who owns/operates were some of the nicest people we met on our trip. 5 stars. One note to my fellow Americans, if you complain about...More
My husband and I first got to visit this very special place in 2012. It has always been our goal to return and that is exactly what we did in October 2017. We booked 3 nights of total satisfaction! We were welcomed back by Neil...More
Turning with the bend in the road as we approached the Gougane Barra Hotel in west Cork it felt like we were driving into a painting. The rugged mountains, brown autumnal fern, verdant pastures, the hotel itself and St. Finbarr's Oratory are visually breathtaking. Their...More
My wife and I stayed for one night here recently, warmly welcomed by Neil and his staff. The room was spotless and warm, with the most beautiful view over the lake. After a drink in the bar downstairs, we ate in the restaurant, where we...More

Our hotel has one accessible room located on the ground floor; it is a double room and is fully equipped to accommodate anyone in a wheel chair / with mobility issues (roll in shower, grab rails in the bathroom, wide doors, etc). The room is also big enough to use a hoist (even though we do not have one available in the hotel...).
Regarding the main building itself, there is a ramp leading to the main front doors, and everything's level once inside (ie: restaurant; bar, sitting rooms); there's also an accessible bathroom available to our guests on the ground floor.
Because we only have one accessible bedroom in the hotel, I would suggest to contact us in advance to make sure that room is available on your required dates.
