Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The whole area of Abisko is in my opinion overestimated. It does not have any particular beauty of a village or a town. There are all together few trees around. It is quite noisy from all the cargo trains passing by. Hostel is very simple and it sauna is working only one hour at night. Go to Finland for the real Artic experience!

We stayed for three nights in a private room. It was perfect if you don't mind having a shared bathroom and kitchen. You have a sauna available every night, 60 huskies you can play with, and boots can be rented. All within a short walk to the train and grocery store. The staff are very friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay again!

My daughter and I went on individual dog sleighs and it was a wonderful (invigorating) experience. The staff were lovely, including the woman at reception who made sure we were properly kitted out. The guides gave a good preparatory talk to begin and I liked the emphasis on dog welfare and safety as well as re-assurance for the humans! There was no doubt these huskies got individual care and attention. The journey took off at speed and good concentration and dexterity were required- I fell twice at the beginning ( much to the amusement of my daughter) but the guides were kind and helpful in their advices and I became confident as we went along. The journey itself was very beautiful, going through forest tracks and trails. We stopped for a break halfway which gave us a chance to take a breath and take the experience in. The trip was expensive but definitely worth it. My only criticism wasI felt it was cut a little short. Overall however top marks.

Amazing location with lots of choice of activities or great to explore surroundings. Hostel has a large kitchen with the major cooking facilities. Large rooms and 4 showers. Stayed for 3 nights and saw ones the Northern lights. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hostel and also by responding any enquirers I had beforehand.

My girlfriend and I chose to do a the individual Huskies Sleigh. We arrived and all the huskies were excited for the outing, and the guide gave us a good tutorial before starting the trip. The ride it self was beutiful throgh Abisko national park, we even saw a moose! Throughout the huskies were well behaved, and everyone in the group had a smooth ride. There were plenty of stops to take photos and have a break. It was a very enjoyable afternoon, highly recommended!

The cheapest accommodation in Abisko, so you just get, pretty much, the basics as well - dorm type rooms (we were booked in the 6-bed room), shared bathroom (which is in another bldg, just a few steps away from the hostel). There is a sauna but they only turn it on for an hour (8pm-9pm). There are only 2 showers in the female bathroom. They have ski equipment and shoes that they rent for EU10. Generally, I'd say it's okay. If you're looking for only the basics, this hostel will suffice.

The facility seems quite new, it has just 4 bedrooms and shared kitchen and bathrooms. Everithing was super clean and cozy. We also booked some activities with abisko.net, totally recomended. The location and the view are just stunning, if you are luky you can also see the northern lights from your window!

A warm, welcoming place where you'll meet fellow travelers and swap stories in the shared kitchen, or perhaps in the nightly sauna. The staff are cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast buffet at the nearby Mountain Lodge is pricey (145kr) but tasty.

Great location to spend few days in Abisko National Park. You can see Northern Lights with a walking distance. We booked dog sledding with them. AMAZING EXPERIENCE with Julia leading! Cross country, snow shoes...
