Originally founded by nature friends Suomen Latu, this stylish and cosy hotel still retains the original close by nature feeling. Don't expect the usual good midclass accommodation with comfortable rooms, good service and tasty local dishes; this hotel offers more: a perfect comfortable shelter for nature and outdoor sports enthousiasts for whom the hotel is the warm home where the...

The hotel is situated at a nice place, there is a spa and free sauna in the hotel. The room was rather small, the bathroom was nice and clean. The dining room is not very cosy. There is a bar but drinks were not served there. We had very nice activities like huskysledging, snowscootersafari, reindeersafari and icekarting. The farewelldiner was very good....

We stayed in one of the chalets closest to the hotel which was just over a five minute walk away. It was clean with good facilities including its own sauna, which was very welcome when you returned from a couple of hours chilling on a husky sledge. You could buy a litre of milk from reception to make tea and...

Stayed in the cabin for a week for the first time in Lapland. It was a great experience for the two of us. Everything was well prepared upon arrival. The sauna in the cabin was amazing! However, you will have to pay 10 Euro for a bag of fire logs. Having said that, this holiday with them was truly wonderful!...

Hotel Jeris is idyllically placed on a lake and by a national park. The hotel's facilities include bar, restaurant, spa and equipment hire (snow shoes, cross country skis etc). You can go for a dip in the lake (the ice is broken to allow this) then head into the spa overlooking the lake...not something we did but others did and...

I had the chance to travel to Lapland with my 5-year son and my wife to enjoy Christmas time at Hotel Jeris. Meeting with "real" Santa Klaus, runs with snowbikes or with sleighrides. Hotel is simple but well equipped and you are provided with full equipment to protect against minus 20 / 30 temperatures. Not cheap because of the location...

The Jeris, a 45 minute drive from Kittila airport, has a great lakeside location and offers lots of opportunities to get out and enjoy the snow and ice, such as husky and reindeer safaris, cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing. The only activity that I didn't like was the snowmobile safari. Travelling at 90km/hr over a frozen lake isn't my idea of...

We stayed for a week in February (booked via activitiesabroad as a winter week activity). Cabin was great - warm, well equipped and a great wee sauna. Given the remoteness of the hotel best to bring your own tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc Good hotel food showcasing local produce - and happy to cater to the needs of the veggie...

My wife and I travelled to Hotel Jeris, near Muonio, on February 5th for four nights. It does involve quite a long journey given that there are two flights involved and an hour long taxi journey, but it was well worth every minute. We stayed in one of the log cabins (number 10) which was about an eight minute walk...

We stayed here for 5 nights in early January and we unlucky with the weather conditions so did not see the Northern Lights. We had a cabin with its own sauna and kitchenette. As the nearest supermarket is 20kms away the latter got little use. The cabins are comfortable, although could do with more towels (it was not a problem...
