Following a birding tour in Finland/Norway that ended in Ivalo, I rented a vehicle and immediately came back up to Neljan Tuulen Tupa, for a couple of nights and a full day to unwind and leisurely view the wonderful bird feeding station for which the lodge is so renowned. I stayed in the main building and, as I thought I...

Checked web site that they were open. But on going there on crutches note on door said only open at weekends. Disapointing😈 not sure how we know when to go there if web site not accurate. Shame as reviews were good. May return on next visit but only if I know they are actually open.

On a recent road trip from Rovaniemi to Vardø Norway and back, I had the pleasure to stay here and a pleasure it was. I travel very often all over the Nordic countries and other locations in Europe and the states and I've stayed in lodges, hotels, cabins and so on and I can honestly say, this here lodge is...

A lovely welcoming hotel with amazing feeding stations for bird watching. Warm, comfortable rooms with bunk beds. Friendly owners and very good food. Wonderful walking to be had around the lakes behind the cabins and plenty of wildlife to be seen.

We stayed in one of three small cabins below the main building. The cabin, which costs less than a room inside the main building, consisted of two unmade beds (both of which had very thin mattresses), a table with two chairs, a fireplace, a fridge and a small stove with necessary kitchen utensils. There is electricity but no running water,...

The place is good for bird photography. they have few bird feeders. We were there in October and we found a lot of great tit, Jay and magpie at photographable distance. We were a...

Very homey and cosy. Rooms are clean and food is excellent. Service is friendly and helpful and outside of the hotel is beautiful. There are lot of things to see and do outside. It is a small place so it is quiet and relaxing.

Rooms in the main buliding consists of 2 bunk beds. If 2 of you are sharing you'll each have a bottom bunk made up. No television in the rooms but a big tele is available in the communal lounge. The food is basic but tasty. There is a vegetarian option of veggie burgers. You almost have to eat the food...

I stayed at Tuulan tupa for 2 nights on my way to and from Norway in late May, 2013. My room consisted of 2 large bunkbeds (4 beds), a table with chairs, a refrigerator and ensuite bathroom, everything was clean and tidy and I only paid €50 per night. The food in the restaurant was very good, a buffet breakfast...
