I stayed at the Hotel Inter-Sukhum for 3 nights in May 2015. I eMailed several hotels, but the Hotel Inter-Sukhum was the only one, that answered my eMails. And Yulia - the one, who answered my eMails - have been very helpful. Communication in english was no problem and she helped to arrange pick-up from the border with Georgia via... More

Stayed in November, Sukhumi was very quiet but the scenery and city itself is fascinating. Hotel was basic and struggled with communication with my basic Russian, so ensure you have a grasp before going. The chap at the desk did ring either a english speaking friend/staff member to assist me with questions which was much appreciated. Wifi none existent and... More

I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. Have they traveled to Poti, Anaklia, Batumi, Tbilisi, Mestia, Khakheti, or Armenia or Azerbaijan? This kind of hotel with its own large cafeteria for only $45 a night I could seldom find in other regions of the Caucasus, at this quality for this price. The food preparation in the air... More

very basic, "soviet union" type. No room services, quite worn out rooms (walls with stains, "bald" carpet etc), shower is old. All looks old and out of standard. Staff is so so, 1 girl in reception was ok, 2 others - they just ARE on the place:-) not friendly, not hostile, just people who give you keys and take them... More

Very simple hotel with very thin walls. The location is good to enjoy seashore, close to the farmers market, 15 minutes walk to downtown. Attention, very hungry mosquitoes will bite you all night long. Even in November! I prefer more comfortable place to stay in but its ok just for 1-2 night when you are on a business trip.

There was not a bad hotel but it was something like hostel with a very small room. The bathroom and toilet were very old and need to be repaired. The only plus was sea in front of the building. And the beautiful garden between sea and hotel. But you can enjoy the sea view from the balcony.

The hotel provides the basic facilities however keeping the overall context in mind, this is all you can get there. Its reasonably ok kind of hotel. While in Sukum, you perhaps need to look at the overall beauty of the area and should consider hotels as merely a place to sleep and eat. Do not spent more on purchase of... More

Arriving in Sukhumi, it didn't take us long to locate the Inter-Sukhum hotel - it is at the start of the main promenade, but set just back from it - an ideal location really. The receptionist spoke English, which is not common here - if you don't speak any Russian, I would seriously advise against travelling to this region, as... More

I stayed here 2 nights, the good thing about the hotel is location in the city near the beach. Also a shower with good pressure and warm water (not always avaliable in the region otherwise) and the place felt safe and reasonable comfortable. Its surprising though that a town that has a lot of charm and beauty, there is a... More

Nothing to add beyond what has already been mentioned in other reviews. Uninspired hotel, basic lodgings, clean and simple, well-equipped bathroom. Staff are helpful. The breakfast buffet is on par with most military canteens, shame that they can't take advantage of the excellent local produce and provide a healthier and tasty selection.

“You can ask in reception to see a few rooms before you choose, they do not mind. But not sure it helps, roomms are all the same. They mentioned the 4th floor is more updated (to me all seemed the same).”
