Ruby Lake Resort is not for the adventurous traveller. If you're looking for quiet book reading rest, this is the place. There are a few units that have a kitchen but don't expect a fully load kitchen as mentioned on the site. They don't even supply dish towels...should I say more. The only restaurant is connected to the resort. There... More

I just came back from a quick trip up the sunshine coast. I stayed for 2 nights at the Ruby Lake resort in a "cabin" It was a very large and comfortable room with 2 queen sized beds. It was very clean with all the amenities you would expect. The resort itself is on a lagoon across the road from... More

I attended Jonifest from Sept 14 through 19, 2016, and Ruby Lake was the perfect venue. All our needs were accommodated, from the lodging, with some of us in the cottages and some in safari tents. I was in Safari tent #1 which was a single with a queen bed, table, and electric fireplace. Although it rained on an off... More

I drove up from Bend, Oregon to spend a long weekend celebrating the music of Joni Mitchell, along with 45 some odd other people from across the country and the globe. Couldn't have asked for a better venue. Absolutely stunning views, great accommodations - I stayed in a safari tent with a beautiful queen bed complete with gas heater -... More

I was in Safari Tent #6, Don't let "tent" scare you. The tent was clean, comfortable, and close to everything. Lots of trails and interesting features. The staff and on-site restaurant was top notch. Be sure to visit the Iris Griffith Nature Center and Egmont HIstorical Center both very close to Ruby Lake.

Ruby Lake Resort was the perfect place for a refreshing getaway. The cottage we stayed in was roomy with a very comfortable bed. The view from the room was spectacular!!! The resort is nestled between a huge mountain covered with redwoods and peaceful, beautiful Ruby Lake. The resort restaurant is the best of the best!! I had the trout, and... More

Fabulous spot for a musical gathering or other outdoor event at a semi-remote eco-style resort! Rainforest BC means come prepared for rain, but the Resort Restaurant and howsts and resort property are magical...truly! No food allowed in tents and bathroom is a distance from the tents but there is a common area kitchen, and a really top notch Italian inspired... More

My wife and I were part of a gathering of Joni Mitchell fans - a JoniFest - that landed on Ruby Lake Resort for 4-5 days in Sept. 2016. We took over the campus for a long weekend of music and friendship. We stayed in one of the permanent tents. The tent was far above a DIY tent - the... More

I love this property! Many options for accommodations to suit everyone and is the perfect space for a family gathering or annual retreat of friends. The stage and outdoor kitchen make for great community fun and the area is so beautiful. Can't wait to go back.
