we stayed 7 nights in this lovely family ran hotel. we were 7 people in 4 rooms. the rooms are very clean and cozy and had everything one needs. Both the full sea view and partial sea view have great views and unbelievable sunsets. the beach is pleasant and even in the peak of the season was not extremely crowded. there is boat hire if you want to explore other beaches and one taverna with ok food. The hotel breakfast is enough for a long time. its very rich and varied, fruit, bread, eggs, beans, pastries, cereals vegetables, any thing you can think of. Most of us are vegan they went a further way for us, brought almond milk, vegan pastries and made special grilled vegetables just for us. This is the main thing i want to say: every single one of the large family that runs this business is the nicest in the world and they will all go out of their way to make you happy. Takis who can be seen running from 6am till 11pm, serving carrying and asking for everyone's well being. Spiridon, Maria, Natasha and her sister(I cant believe I forgot that angle's name who took care of our food every morning, sorry). really even if you could find fault with something it would go away because of all these lovely good spirited people around. they gave us 4 umbrellas for the beach and towels. they made restaurant reservations, anything we asked they gave a friendly helpful answer. we had rented cars. the town, beautiful town! is 20-25 minutes drive. there is a small store 5 minutes drive and there is a nice pleasant pool in the hotel which we hardly used because we prefer the beach, an easy 300 meters downhill, and we travelled a lot around the island. we had dinner twice in the hotel and it was nice. The hotel is not in a village but it was no problem. in short- great place to stay in the middle of beautiful Corfu. and thanks again to our wonderful hosts.…

After many years i've returned to my beloved Philoxenia!!!! This time i made a short trip alone since i didnt have much time at my disposal so i chose to come back to Corfu and ofcourse i immediately booked my favorite Hotel with the best mojito ever! ( thank you Takis again and again)!!! The food was as tasty as i remember and well done on the updates and the renovated rooms!! Takis was also kind enough to offer me a cruise to Paxos island and Antipaxos and although i had only a few days i decided to go since there were quite a few other guests of the Hotel that had booked the cruise and it was really enojoyable!!! What a fabulous island and superb beaches - i will certainly go back there again in the future! Again many thanks to Takis and ofcourse to all the rest of the team of Philoxenia for making my stay so enjoyable!! See you all soon!!!…

We’re a couple from New York City, and the Philoxenia was a huge part of our magical stay in Corfu. Before setting off, we had read a lot about the family dynamic in some reviews, but wow, you really feel the warmth and hospitality come through at the Philoxenia. I would describe it as relaxed but professional. Some highlights include: - Takis and the staff. Helpful, communicative and friendly. - Breakfast. Next level. Every morning, and it’s part of the package. - The pool. Gorgeous view, swim up bar, and 1960s Madmen vibe. The Mojito made with fresh mint was our fave. - The restaurant. Also run family run, we ate outside and enjoyed the view. The food was so good we ate here almost every night. - Ferry ride. Takis hooked us up with a really memorable ferry ride where we swam in the sea, saw The Blue Caves and enjoyed a fantastic meal on the idyllic island of Paxos. Some other thoughts: - Our room was on the small side, but it had a recently remodeled bathroom which was great. Also the staff were on top of it, and kept it clean and fresh. - We didn’t find a ton to do around Ermones, but once we rented a car, we had a blast exploring the island. I’m grateful for our time in Corfu and our stay at the Philoxenia… and imagine we’ll be back soon. …

In a word: Family We are a couple from Poland who quickly fell in love with Corfu. In people, in nature and in the local way of life. We decided to stay based on the reviews, so we would like to reciprocate by recommending and encouraging other guests to experience amazing moments in such a beautiful place. We made a reservation through the official website. Communication with the owner went very smoothly. At the airport was waiting for us Philoxenia car, which brought us to the hotel. We chose a room with a sea view (108). Room spacious, very clean, cleaned every day. The view from the window was breathtaking. Every day we enjoyed amazing sunsets. Breakfast very varied and tasty, including local baked goods. Everyone was smiling and kind. No doubt, people make sense of this place. The restaurant also had a very family atmosphere. The food and wine were great. And all this at sunset after a day full of impressions and emotions. Philoxenia and Ermones are a great base to explore the whole island. Takis helped us with renting a scooter for which I thank him very much. We will definitely remember this stay for the rest of our lives, because this is where we got engaged. Takis and the team at philoxenia are so friendly. we had an amazing and relaxing stay here. The hotel feels very cosy and clean. The pool is nice and deep and a good length to swim and perfect for sunbathing as faces the sun until late and has amazing views.
