Where do I start, Eagle Nest Studio's are rated 2 star, however the hospitality Marina and her son offer is without doubt 5 stars. The apartments have been cleverly built with everyone have sea views. The rooms have everything you need for a week away and the location is stunning. The rooms are cleaned regularly and if you need anything, you just have to ask. Marina, the owner, is the bright shining star of Laurdata she is extremely committed to ensuring her guest are happy and she is extremely dedicated to the job. We feel in love with her and her hospitality. The pool area is clean and well maintained, with ample sun loungers and umbrellas for every apartment. There is a shower for the pool area and the views are stunning, one side to the ocean and the other to the mountains.
Every morning I would have Greek coffee delivered to me my Marina, an alarm call and medicine in one! This was our first time in Kefalonia and it won't be our last, which is unusual for us. Both my husband and I shed a tear leaving Eagle Nest Studios as we had felt so at home all week. One indicator was a fellow guest who has frequented the island for 23 years but said that nowhere compares to Eagle Nest Studio's and its location. In our opinion you do need a car to get around, it is quite steep and not everyone has the mobility to climb hills. There are so many excellent family run restaurants around Laurdata and I can say that if you choose Eagle Nest Studio's you will receive a very warm and heartfelt welcome with the best of care and attention.

The host, Marina gave me a big welcome to the property and showed me around. The room was very spacious with lots of storage, basic cooking facilities, and a large fridge. The balcony was large and private with most amazing view of the coast. I slept with the doors open and could hear the sea, with minimal insects although insect repellent and air con is provided. Marina is an amazing, friendly, and caring host who likes to make sure all her guests are having a great vacation. Little touches like watermelon by the pool and a couple of breakfasts of spinach pie and freddo's delivered to your door with a big smile were a really nice touch. The pool is large and has the most amazing view of the coast. Everywhere is kept extremely clean and tidy and rooms are cleaned regularly along with linen changes. I would definitely stay here again, it is a really brilliant place to escape and relax.

Stayed for 17 nights end of July beginning of August. Marina and her wonderful family really made our stay that extra bit special, warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Rooms are basic but immaculately clean and well equipped for preparing light snacks, breakfast etc. 2 electric rings, toaster, fridge and adequate kitchen utensils, dishes, glasses, cups etc. A hairdryer was also provided and good air con.
Bedding and towels changed every 3rd day.
All rooms have the most amazing sea views, just beautiful!
The pool was fantastic, very quiet (all couples during our stay) it didn’t matter what time of day you went to the pool there were always sun beds available so no need to dash down first thing to reserve beds!
Eagle’s Nest is up a hill and the walk up from the beach/taverna’s can be challenging in the heat but the views from your room will be well worth the effort (we had room 17 top floor).
Marina doesn’t stop from morning to night and is always on hand if you need anything, nothing is too much trouble. She bought us breakfast on our first day and then gave us some of her delicious lemon yogurt (I even managed to get her recipe). We were also treated to cold watermelon at the pool, so thoughtful, such a lovely lady!
We’d have no hesitation staying here again. If you want good clean accommodation with stunning views from your balcony, peace and quiet this is the place for you!

We couldn't fault our stay. The room was cleaned frequently and the owner, Marina, was very attentive and just couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. A highly recommended place to stay! Philipos & Jayne

My husband and I are just coming to the end of our fabulous week in Kefalonia, and our stay at the Eagles Nest has been the icing on the cake.

The welcome from Marina is like visiting a relative that actually really likes you!

Marina was ready to show us around the apartment so we didn’t get stuck on getting anything to open/work, asking if we’d like anything to eat on arrival and if we’d like breakfast on our first morning (which was amazing seeing as we didn’t arrive until 1am!).

We happily agreed to breakfast and we’re delivered to our door two delicious cold coffees and fresh pastries!

Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and had everything we needed for the week. We were chuffed with the shower that it was mounted high on the wall (this often isn’t the case in Greece and you have to become an expert in bending and contortion to shower), so showering every day was a pleasure!

There was a smart tv in the room to connect to all your streaming services and there was always hot water in the shower.

The view from balcony is breathtaking and you could easily lose a whole afternoon just staring out at it taking it all in.

The pool area is utter bliss. No road noise, no music, just bird song and the sea (when it was slightly choppier).

Marina is never far away if you need her, and she is always happy and willing to help with recommendations etc…

The walk up and down the hill wasn’t a problem for us… and we’re not that fit!! My only recommendation would be not to do it in the peak hours of the day, just because you do get warm on the way!

Not all the places on the beach were open when we came, but Klimatis is fabulous for food and for the bar. The barman is so polite and helpful and spot on - you get complimentary water with every drink - which is great!

The beach at Lourdas is superb, I couldn’t fault it.

My only wish would have been to have a double bed instead of two singles together, but it wasn’t an issue at all.

When my husband and I come back to Kefalonia, we won’t be staying anywhere else!!

I can imagine that in peak season, you could stay here and not need a car to spend a week relaxing, wandering, swimming eating and drinking :)

Now Marina, can you please set up a customer service school and teach other people how to do it?? :) xx

This place in not only about its location and facilities. It’s also about the host! We were warmly welcomed met and explained everything as well as cherished with a homemade cake and olive oil.
The room was facing the sea and the garden. Very close to the beach( you have to walk though) tavernas, shops , vineyard, bus stop and whatever you need on your holiday. Highly recommend.

Marina, thank you for a fabulous stay.
We spent a week on a top floor apartment No.16. The view is phenomenal and sitting on the balcony was the perfect place to watch stunning sunsets.

The shower was great, the room clean, plenty of space for clothing etc. and the air conditioning worked well.

We were in Kefalonia during the terrible Hurricane Janus, Marina battled through the winds up the stairs and kindly brought us homemade bean soup. Such a kind thing to do and very welcomed.

We really liked the pool, there were never more than a handful of people there.

We didn't have a car, so Marina kindly arranged for the lovely gentleman from Petros Supermarket to pick us up in his car, we did our shopping and he kindly dropped us back.

You must have dinner at Liza's grill, which is the nearest restaurant and is fab. We also used to walk down the hill to Lorraine's Magic Hill and Clematis. Both wonderful restaurants. Waikiki Beach Bar was brilliant for a frappe or light lunch, when at the beach.

Marina is a fabulous host and the Eagle's Nest apartments are fabulous too!

This was our 2nd visit to Eagles Nest in eight years and was just exactly as we remembered. Marina and her family take great strides in ensuring that everyone has a pleasant stay and nothing is too much trouble. Marina is always around from morning to night - she basically never stops! She welcomes everyone with open arms and by the end of your stay I guarantee you will leave as good friends!

The rooms at Eagles Nest are basic but spacious, with a simple, small kitchenette to prepare light snacks and a small shower room. All the rooms have spectacular sea views.

There is a beautiful pool area with ample sun loungers and umbrellas. There are plans to further extend this area with a bar, which I am sure would be a welcome addition to guests.

As we have visited Kefalonia on numerous occasions we had no plans to explore as we just intended to relax by the pool. Marina arranged a taxi (both ways). However, a car is recommended if you want to get around as it is quite steep. Similarly, it might not be suitable for young families who may find the walk to the beach, restaurants and bars a bit too far for little feet. In our opinion it is ideal as a relaxing retreat for couples who want peace and quiet, rather than being in the thick of the action.

Thank you to the Eagles Nest family. We will definitely be returning!

First of all Marina and her husband are one of the friendliest hosts I ever met. They are very ambitious and always there for any question or just a small chat. Marina gives very useful informations and supports while planning daytrips.
We hired a car by a contact of Marina. Same nice people as she is. The price therefore was unbeatable.
We had a kitchenette with fully equipment, Marina filled the fridge with water, juice, cider and some fresh fruit when we arrived. Not as usual for a host! We liked it a lot.
The pool, the view, the sweet cats 🐱, the location, the warmly stay. All in all - great!
Fully recommendation!

Eagles Nest is a very special place Marina and her son go above and beyond to ensure you have a great holiday. The studios are very clean with fabulous views. Marina organised our airport taxis both ways and also arranged our jeep hire and often gave us complementary treats like Greek coffee or water melon. The pool area has ample sun loungers /umbrellas and as many guests hire a car we often had the pool to ourselves.
