Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel facilities were excellent. Extremely clean rooms, the beds were very comfortable and we had a nice little balcony with a view over the olive grove to the sea. We received a warm welcome and we found the staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. We had several meals in the hotel and they were very good. Overall the hotel was just what we wanted and we will return the next time we come to Kefalonia. The only suggestion for improvement would be for a wee bit more variety in the breakfast buffet but to be fair it was the same as other hotels although better quality than most. Also there was a very grumpy looking old man around sometimes who I think was the owner. They should keep him out of sight of the guests😂

This hotel is very nice, the decor is all new very nicely done .The staff are lovely can't do enough for you .The food at the hotel is lovely very nice .The only problem but can't be helped really ,is that the beach is only 5 mins away but the hill to get there is sheer hell.Even the locals say it kills them ,so would not recommend for people with walking problems .To get off the lovely quiet beach this hill is the only way unfortunately. But Lourdas is a stunning place and great people.

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights and had an absolutely great time. Everything about the hotel from the location, the rooms, the layout of the grounds and the staff are amazing. Gianni's, Harriet, Lola, Nico, Spirit and Helen to name but a few of the team made us feel very special every day and couldn't do enough for us, so thank you. The entire team from the owners to all of the staff work tirelessly keeping the hotel, rooms and grounds spotlessly clean and should be proud of keeping this little hotel up there with the best. We ate at the hotel a few times for lunch and evening dinner and the food is excellent and good value. Breakfast likewise has plenty of choice and is very nice and sets you up for the day. Locally there are some great little tavernas and the area around the square has a very rustic and traditional feel of a Greek village. The only drawback, and it's minor, is the bank down to the beach which is a bit of a climb on the way back up but don't let that put you off. I'm not one who returns to hotels and resorts but we definitely plan to make an exception for this hotel and go back again.

Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay at your hotel. All your staff are welcoming, professional and kind and your facilities and restaurant are excellent. We have discovered a new favourite cocktail ‘The Fresh,’ and our children loved the chocolate milkshakes! We hope to return in the future.

We visited the hotel on a couple of occasions. One for a Greek night, one for a jazz night and on the last night of our stay in Lourdata for a meal. The food and entertainment were second to none, as was the actual hotel. However, the service by one member of staff left a lot to be desired. There was a young Greek guy, who was obviously in charge of the restaurant. He came across very rude and unapproachable. When my husband and I went to the hotel for the jazz night, we hadn't booked a table but neither had others. He huffed and puffed, scratched his head and then pointed to a small table. We, along with another couple were absolutely taken aback by his deminour. It quickly became apparent that there was lots of empty tables. So, the only conclusion we could take from the young man's behavior was that he didn't want us there! Yesterday evening (6/8/23) my husband and I went across the the hotel for a meal. Yet again, the young Greek guy was there. He told us to sit at a small table and leave the large tables for others. He slammed down the menus and said "give me time" I presumed that this was because he was purposely avoiding us, as other people were coming in after us and he was serving them instead. In the end a lovely lady called Harriet served us. When we finished our food, the Greek guy came and took our plates, he didn't ask if everything was ok, no offer of anything else. He just took the plates and walked off. He then came over and gruffly said can I take place mats. In doing this he nearly knocked my glass of wine over! Neither my husband or I were impressed with the young man's behavior. He was obviously not enjoying his job and had absolutely no social skills that are needed for such an important job. My husband and I would love to visit Kefalonian again, as we absolutely love the island and initially, we said we would love to stay at this hotel. However, the young man in charge has ensured that we will probably never stay at this hotel. So sad!
