Just back from 2 weeks in this hotel. This is not a 4 stars. Apartment was meant to be 2 bedrooms but the second bedroom had 2 single bed in the main leaving room. Furniture was outdated. No cooking kit in this self catering apartment. King size bed was as hard as a rock. Fuse board kept tripping so made sure we had nothing plugged when we were out. 2 french doors out to the huge balcony did not closed properly, complained but nothing was done about it. Only good thing, the view absolutely stunning. Some apartments looked refurbished with new windows and doors so maybe they are better so can't comment on that. The only thing that was new and ok was the bathroom. Cleaning lady was nice and changed our bed sheets with new towels every 2 days and empty bins every day so can't fault her. She was mad busy so her cleaning standard were not as high as mine! Reception quite useless, very poor english or pretended not to understand! Pool is descent, sun beds scarce, no descent coffee at the pool bar, a bar that runs out of drinks, funny, probably because a lot of people were all meals/drinks included. the closest beach is tiny, 3 or 4 restaurants around, 2 overpriced supermarkets, not much to entertain, the Music House was good 20mn walk on the road, no path to walk anywhere so took Green buses at the bottom of that cardiac hill, bus were irregular and always late but cheap, nearest town is Ipsos. Had to take a taxi back everytime, from the taxi rank, make sure you tell the taxi driver how much you are willing to pay, they have no meter. Ipsos to Aquamarine is €20 and €25 after midnight. Renting a boat for the day is good value and best way to see the coast. Aqualand is good, bit of a treck on 2 buses but good day out. Corfu town is worse a visit for the day. Wouldn't rent a car, roads are atrocious, no parking and they drive like nuts.

Today 8/9/22. Just finished our holiday today and want to let people know about me and my friends experience we are both pensioners and thought we would book a holiday this place came up and we decided to go for it . We booked a superior room because this was a little treat for us, well on arrival we got of the bus and had to get up a very steep hill to get to recieption we were given the room key and directed to our room which was up another steep hill then six flights of stone steps by the time we got to the room we both thought we were going to have heart attacks !! The room was very nice but we had asked for a twin room this was a double we were told we had a sea view we did but it was through a small window no balcony☹️ As it was late when we arrived and we couldn’t get down all the steps to have to climb up again we stayed in that room next
Day we asked to be moved because the room being so hard for us to get to and no balcony the staff were unsympathetic and told us to come back the next day !!! It took 3 day to be moved !!! The room we got was a disaster noisy air con that kept us awake a shower that had to be hand held no kettle or cups or any kitchen facility’s the bed was hard with very lumpy pillows we were half board so breakfast and dinner food was just ok we ate out of the hotel on 4 occasions this is not a 4star hotel I would put it at 2 all in all not a good hotel wouldn’t stay here again . But Corfu is beautiful we will be back but not to this hotel

Pros:

Rooms are clean and well maintained

10 minute walk to the beach

Nice pool

Good public bus service outside the hotel

Cons:

We had no balcony which we had asked for

No kettle or coffee making facilities in the rooms

Staff had not a clue about anything

Drinks by the pool were expensive if you were not all inclusive.

No snacks available at the pool bar

Buffet food was only okay

All in all, I would not go back and stay there. The pool bar needs to be addressed as does the buffet menu.

We booked 3 rooms, one was poorely equpied and dirty, one was also dirty and too small for a triple, as the extra bed occupied the entire space, such as the balcony door was blocked by the beds. The third room was horrible, a strong smell of mold came as we opened the door. It was impossible for someone to breath outside the entrance without beeing intoxicated by the deep and old smell of humidity and mold. The room was not opened or cleaned for weeks, as it seemed! We have requested another room, and the personnel was so rude and unprofessional, as it took two hours to settle in another room and only for an extra charge of 50 euros for a similar room, but with less smell. The rooms are poorely equiped, with less attendance to the mentainance, as the doors and windows don't close properly or at all, the toilet water pored all night, the shower has no door and the entire floor got wet, the air-conditioning are old and noisy, the fridge were uncleaned and icey. The bed sheets were used and smelly. The walls are so thick, that we heard all night our neigbours sounds and noise. On the outside there are insects everywere, dirty floors, chairs and tables, with badly smells all over. The pool is not an option for a good experience. The receptionist and her superior were rude, they treated us badly and with no intention to welcome the guests or value them. The response to our request was that the rooms are not small or dirty and there was no mold smell in the room, that this is our opinion, not theirs. It took 2 ours and an extra charge in order to get an almost proper room.
I advice you to avoid the hotel, the services are over rated and a waste of time and money!

We arrived 5th Sept 2022 v late at night. The room we were given was vile, furniture damaged, the bathroom full of black mould and limescale. The room absolutely stank and our 'garden view' was a car parking area. Our fridge was balanced on a chair!
Reception was apologetic, and told us to report back in the morning to see if they could change us to another room. After a long day of travelling it was a very upsetting arrival and we struggled to get any sleep that night. I found a small hair to the right of my pillow just before getting into bed.
Morning came and we were straight back to reception. We spoke to a very pleasant receptionist but she told us we could not be moved. She said they would like to help. They had over-booked and had been sending guests elsewhere but there was no where left to send us. When I asked for a refund she said that was not possible- only by going through our booking agent.
There was no way we could enjoy a holiday in that room. My partner said he would rather sleep in the car- and we hadn't even got one of those yet.
We decided to get straight on to Love Holidays, told them the issues and confirmed with an email and photos. They were brilliant. By v early afternoon we were told reception wanted to see us and they moved us for a couple of nights to some beautiful apartments. We were extremely cautious coming back but they gave us a stunning room with a beautiful sea view.
I felt quite humiliated when we were given the first room and I understand that they have a lot of rooms that are v similar . So BEWARE. If we had booked direct the hotel would not have helped usI This hotel is a gamble. You think a 4 star hotel wil be ok. Its like upstairs downstairs.📴
Food was not too bad. Parking free but v limited space and extremely steep.

Amazing stay at Aquamarine.
The staff was very nice and friendly, the hotel location is amazing with a nice beach 5mn walking distance (Nissaki beach)
Hotel was very beautiful, rooms were clean and the pool was very big, perfect for relax after a beach day with a bar with perfect cocktails included in our all inclusive.
Don’t hesitate to book a premium room, we had a beautiful sea view and pool view with a confortable kingsize bed.
Everyday we could taste different good home made plates. Thank you Aquamarine for everything !!

What a bad start to our holiday, our garden view room looked at a wall, so we asked to be moved, room 2 had a great view of the sea , great !!! But next morning the next room had a shower and part of our room was covered in water, we told the receptionist, but later that day the same happened! So back to reception, this time a little more forceful! Eventually the day manager and maintenance man turned up and just about called us liars , I was starting to get a little hot under the collar (not like me) and pointed out my wife who was in her seventies could easily slip on the wet tiles and if she was hurt we would sue, that hit the right spot and we where offered a third room. So we moved ourselves again!
This room was better but the hairdryer and safe didn’t work and the shower wasn’t good. But we didn’t want the hassle, so stayed put!
When we arrived we where given a map and key , the staff didn’t offer to help with our cases even when we had a steep slope and 4 flights of stairs! The same comments came from other guests! It seems the older you are the more you have to deal with all the stairs and no help with baggage no matter how old you are.
The food was never labelled always cold , sometimes the replenishment was lacking, so you where waiting for food,
Wine was often warm and the one dessert was often still frozen!
Most of the staff were totally indifferent to you need’s etc.
We ended up eating out at least once a day!
The best member of staff was the bartender always happy.
All inclusive drinks ended at 10 ! Which surprised most of the youngsters!
All and all a memorable hotel but not for the right reasons!
I know it’s nearly the end of the season, but they need to make the effort to the end!

We stayed at aquamarine for 5 nights in August 2023. We were initially worried having read the reviews. Our room was immaculate with a stunning sea view as we were at the top of the hotel we had to climb a lot of steps but we were happy with this as the view was so worth it and expected the steps as the hotel is on a hill. The gentleman in the restaurant was amazing and attentive to our needs and the cleaning lady was fantastic and made a real fuss of the children.
Only negatives I have are the wasps! There was hundreds and we struggled to enjoy a drink outside as we were surrounded by them, also worth noting the hotel is very couples and adult orientated with minimal entertainment (2 nights) and nothing for the children to do so we retired to bed early which was not a problem for us.
Other than the 2 points this was a fantastic get away for the price and nissaki beach is fantastic for clear sea and seeing the fish.

We stayed in old room with basic equipment, no lamp, safe disn’t work. All Inclusive service was poor, no coffee during the day, no snacks, there is only few buffet meals during lunch/dinner. Bar was out of wine/water/lemonade or anything every afternoon. There is no store in the hotel to buy bottle of water. Pool is small and dirty, there were people smoking in the pool.
We expected 4* hotel but experienced 2*:-(
The only positive thing is the view.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days. We arrived at 2am. We were given the wrong room (asked for a seaview room). The shower did not work, doors did not close and safe wouldn’t work.

We spent one night here and reported the issues to reception. We waited for one hour and they tried to fob us off by saying it was a seaview. They then tried to offer us another room which again was not seaview. Finally after threatening to give a bad review they moved us to half a sea view room (lower room) but safe still didnr work.

Our room was not cleaned before we arrived or during our stay. The bathroom and floor was dirty. Our bedsheets were not changed once during our stay.

There is no veg / vegan or gluten free options at all. We survived on rice & salad & potatoes. The older gentleman was helpful and tried to make us alternatives when he could. The staff who served drinks were rude. We had to ask them to get us drinks. They was an assumptions that we could only have one drink (all inclusive) per meal! They were just so rude.

We don’t drink alcohol, pool side bar only had soft drinks and when we asked for mocktail, they put in 15% alcohol which luckily we did not drink. We were being forced to confirm why we do not drink alcohol (which we shouldn’t need to)

The power was cut off for three hours too! I could go on and on but honestly just avoid. What a waste of time and money. We will also be complaining to our provider.
