Princess hotel is on the Greek island of Zante in the town of Tsilivi, a short walk from a Blue Flag beach. This stretch of coastline is mostly sandy, with a few parts scattered with small pebbles. The town also has some lively beach bars, as well as some quieter more secluded areas, making it popular with both couples and families. The hotel has a modern interior with warm hues and up-to-date furnishings. The buildings are centred around the pool area, where there's a sun terrace and a main pool with a shallow section for kids to play in. Next to the pool is the hotel bar, where you can get drinks throughout the day. In the evening you can enjoy a meal in the hotel's restaurant, or head out to explore the town. If you go to eat, you'll find yourself right in the centre of the town, giving you plenty of restaurants on your doorstep. On the main strip, there's a mixture of international restaurants and traditional Greek tavernas, where you can try authentic dishes like feta salad, moussaka or pougi. You can also head down to the beach for dinner or late-night drinks with a sea view.

The Princess Hotel is well located in the resort, just a short walk to all restaurants and bars but set back from the road so a quiet location. However we were allocated a poolside room right next to the bar and the music was loud until 1.30am, we asked to be moved to a garden room at the back and our request was accommodated, the new room was lovely and quiet and bigger too. The shower cubicles are small but manageable.
The Receptionist asked us to sign a paper agreeing not to bring food and drink into the hotel but then provide a kettle with no coffee or tea so not sure what you are supposed to do!
Breakfast was a disappointment, they had the usual bacon, eggs, beans, cheese, meats, fruit, cereal and yoghurt but it just felt like nothing quite went together. I prefer a cold breakfast so had bread, cheese and cold boiled egg or yogurt and fruit out of a tin 😳
The hotel looks like it is all freshly painted so decorated well and clean enough.
One Receptionist was lovely and helpful but the other was arguing with us when we said the water in the shower was cold or the aircon was tripping out.
The sunbed situation is annoying as half are in the shade for most of the day and the other half are reserved before breakfast and then you can’t leave them and go for a walk otherwise your towel gets removed, it’s a no win situation so we went to the beach most days.
It’s a nice enough hotel but I wouldn’t rush back.
Bar and pool area are nice, especially in the evening.

Just got back from the princess hotel. We stayed in the self-catering accommodation across from the main hotel. Just read a few of the recent reviews and I am shocked. Our room was cleaned daily with beds made, bins emptied and floor washed daily. We were told that bed sheets and towels are changed once during a seven night stay which I believe is perfectly acceptable as that's what I do at home. A few draw handles were broken but that didn't bother us. I asked reception for a mattress topper (I found the bed a bit hard) and a extra pillow. I quickly received the pillow but I think either the hotel didn't have any mattress toppers or it got lost in translation as I never received that, however I didn't ask again as I just used the blanket's provided under my sheet. Toilets by the pool were the cleanest pool toilets abroad I have seen and you could smell the bleach. Staff by the pool were attentive clearing away empty glasses and whipping down tables and happy to carry drinks for you. My daughter had banana and chocolate pancakes at the pool bar which were amazing, we didn't eat anything else by the pool bar but were told by others it was very good quality. We found you did need to get to the pool by 7:40 for a good sun lounger in the sun, however if you are not going to use the loungers until after lunchtime and put your towel down early it may be moved by staff to make it fair for those wanting to use the pool during the morning. The sun loungers were very comfortable. We liked the extra touches of a evening whereby the staff put away some of the loungers and put lantins around the pool area and the fountain in the pool just to change it from daytime to nighttime. We would return.

From the warm welcome on arrival to the sad goodbye this hotel was friendly, professional and an absolute pleasure to visit. I can't name all the lovely staff but Babis, Spiros, Anastasia and Panos made our stay perfect and memorable.
The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, the pool area was well managed and never crowded, the bar and restaurant offered quality food and drinks at very competitive prices. Breakfast offered a large and varied choice catering for all tastes.
The Greek night was fantastic.
We can't wait to return.

When I read the reviews I think that we stayed in a different hotel! On arrival we were greeted and requested to fill in a form with details and then taken to the self catering rooms across the road from the hotel. On arrival to the room, it was very dark.. a quick chat about where the safe was and the lady went on her way. On inspection of the room it really did need an upgrade, the rooms didn’t feel very clean and they are in desperate need of modernisation. The shower was hot and powerful but the bath itself felt mucky. The baths are quite narrow and the shower curtain sticks to you whilst showering. The rooms open out on to the road and opposite is the bar so for privacy you had to keep the curtains closed a lot as everyone can see right in. During the stay the cleaning schedule was quite sporadic and I’m not sure what they did, sheets didn’t seem to be changed regularly along with towels, bath taps dirty and not cleaned (hairs on them on arrival). Air conditioning was noisy and clunky. The beds were rock hard and the pillows even harder (we did request new pillows but they were just as hard). The pool is nice but very few sun beds get the sun so we went to the beach everyday. Bar staff are friendly. We didn’t eat there so cannot comment on the food. To sum up the rooms, on the last day we opened the microwave to find a piece of pie left in it from previous guests (!!!!), yes you read right! When I spoke with the dark haired lady on reception and told her what we found and the cleaners clearly weren’t doing their job she wasn’t interested and I’m sure the pie would still have been there for the next guests which is disgusting. This should be a basic routine check when doing hand overs between guests.
As I say from reading other reviews I can only assume the b & b side have been refurbished and are a far better experience.

Dear guest, First of all i would like to thank you for visiting the hotel despite all the negative things you have found. We will try to do our best to fix them for the new season. As far as the piece of pie is concerned,i am 100% sure that it was yours and you have left it in the microwave. In case it was left from the previous guests in the microwave for 10 and more days it would have rotted to death!!!!. You have uploaded a photo of this piece of pie and this proves it ,is this piece disgusting?????. I personally went into the room to check it,I WAS INTERESTED,i took my own photos,i realized that you tried to accuse the hotel and the maid of something but to tell you the truth it did not work at all. You were around the pool till your pick-up time but i did not come to tell you anything as it was not worth it.I informed the Easy Jet travel agency before you left the hotel, sent the photos and we were all waiting for your bad review. No surprise at all! People who are interested can see my photos as well at the gallery. Thank you one more time for staying at Princess and we hope to see you back again.

Just got back from a 11 day trip nightmare.first thing they do is get you to sign a form telling you rooms cleaned and bedding changed along with towels at their discretion.we change rooms after first night at our asking no problem.after 4 day partner asked if sheets could be changed the maid showed her a schedule sheet which said be next day then like a raging bull a receptionist came storming into our room as if she owned the place laying down the law about cleaning routine this we found was shocking as any professional would knock and be invited in to our room to discuss the situation.next day we decided to go into kalimaki for a couple of day as hotel was nowhere near what we were told it was (face fit, regular visitor, and spent plenty money on drinks and food). On our return receptionist ask oh you back you been missing 2 days,a hour later my partner was asked if they could have a word in private to be meet by a JET 2 rep.she was then accused of throwing towels on the floor after maid had put them in bathroom which DID NOT HAPPEN then issued with a letter giving us a final warning...when this incident was supposed to of happened we had left hotel and gone to kalimaki so jet2 had judged us before asking for our side of story ..so if you want fresh sheets and towels on regular basis find a different hotel ,jet 2 seem to back owners so no good complaining they won't believe you , if you also want a good sunbed keep in with hotel owner and staff then the caretaker will put your towels out for you then you can have lie in even have late breakfast and turn up when you want ,.don't go to supermarket for cheaper drinks they don't like that either

We have been coming to this hotel for many years now but this trip was definitely a much needed one. We have always found this hotel absolutely spotless ( In fact, our son, who we sadly lost in January this year said " you could drop an egg on the floor and pick it up and eat it, when he was on his first visit to the Princess a few years ago). Its unbelievable that some people will find fault when we know that so many people go back there, sometimes twice a year. We do not believe people would keep going back if there were problems as mentioned in the previous review.
We had the most amazing holiday in September and cannot thank all the family and the staff enough for making us feel so welcome once again. We have already booked to return next September and cannot wait.
Please thank Spiros and John for keeping us entertained every evening and also thank them for the great music that was played.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Liz & Jimmy

Me, my partner and 2 children 7 and 3 stayed at this hotel bed and breakfast for 12 nights from 18/5-3/6. We had other family and friends staying here too at the same time so we were a big party. I’ll start with the positives.
The room we stayed in was amazing, spacious, modern and clean. Cleaned daily, bed sheets and towels changed every other day. We were fine with this. Tiny fridge in the room with kettle was fine for us. We brought our own tea bags but read reviews about no teaspoons so brought my own however cleaners took them thinking they were theirs! Haha I wasn’t bothered.
Location was amazing 10 second walk and you’re in the heart of it! Some amazing restaurants for food and great bars for drinks too.
Staff are all fabulous and very friendly from the cleaners to receptionists and the bar staff were amazing and friendly.
Wine from the bar is a great price at €3.50 for a large glass, they only had local larger my partner preferred bottles of fix they were €4. Koppaberg €4 for a big can and little cans of fizzy orange, lemonade etc were €2.50.
Food at the pool bar was delicious! The butty’s and club sandwiches are massive and plenty for 2 to share served with a generous helping of chips.
The breakfast wasn’t a 4 star breakfast. The usual bread, jams, eggs, beans, bacon and foreign sausage. Tinned peaches and twice over our 12 night stay there were fresh oranges. It was fine but no variety.
There is a rush for sunbeds at 9am on the dot people scramble for the beds and it was really draining but if you want a bed you do it. They do watch closely and if you’re not at the bar or around the pool for more than an hour they remove your towels and you collect them from reception.
My one niggle was one afternoon the kids were playing in the pool which they did every day but, on this day the receptionist came out and told us to tell our children to be quiet as they were making too much noise. They are children, there were only 5 of them and they weren’t making any more noise than they did day before. It’s just something I found very bizarre. At the end of the day it’s a family hotel. Other than this everything was great and I have no complaints. to be honest we didn’t pay any attention to it as the noise levels really weren’t loud.
Overall, it’s a great hotel that’s clean with friendly staff and if we were ever to travel to Tsilivi again, we would definitely return.

We have just returned from another fantastic holiday in Tsilivi, only marred by the experience in this hotel! I have NEVER stayed in such an awful place.
On arrival we were shown to our room, our first impression was it looked nice, bright and with modern decor. Alas! Once we started to unpack I realised there was no room for our clothes just a wardrobe and a shelf with a kettle and 2 cups, not even a spoon! No tea coffee or sugar. We were forced to put our clothes on the suitcase stand. Luckily we always bring our own tea bags but thought it very strange that we hadn't got these in the room especially as on arrival we had to pay an extra €42 as it had just been upgraded to a 4 star hotel???
Then the bathroom,it was OK but noticed that the shower tray all along the bottom edge was very scaly looking as though it hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. The toilet had the same staining also. Not to be put off we commenced on enjoying our holiday.
Day 2, arrived back at the hotel after a lovely day on the beach. Dirty tea stained cups not replaced by the cleaners just a clean sheet & bins emptied.
Day 3, No clean cups bathroom not touched, and in 14 days they still never wiped the bathroom mirrors!
I went to reception to ask for clean cups and asked to speak to the manager. Receptionist said she's not here today but I'll take your contact details and she'll ring you. No phone call. Went again the following day and asked why she hadn't contacted me. I was told she's not here until 8pm. We went out for dinner at 7-30 so said I'd speak to her the following day. Actually caught up with her the following day. I asked her why the cups weren't replaced daily she replied 'oh it's not just you, we don't replace anyone's cups throughout their stay!!! I couldn't believe what she said!!! Also told her about the lack of cleaning in the bathroom but apart from getting clean cups for the following 2 days nothing else changed. After my complaint I felt I was being watched and felt intimidated so kept out of the hotel as much as possible. Needless to say I will never return!

Stayed for 10 nights with my two daughters and my sister. We were B&B in a family suite. The room was lovely, very spacious and we definitely appreciated the air con during the heatwave! Breakfast was absolutely fine. Not sure what other people’s expectations are, but I thought there was more choice than you sometimes get at a buffet breakfast in Greece. The tables were cleaned promptly as people left and the food was continuously topped up.
We didn’t have any problems getting a sunbed and normally didn’t go down until closer to 10am. The girl at the pool bar was very friendly and always had a smile. My daughters spent hours in the pool and I was told a few times how well behaved they were and that they were a credit to me. My only wee grumble is that a couple of times, a member of staff would shout at all the children in the pool and say that they should be in the children’s end. That part is a baby pool so I’m not sure what that was about? It wasn’t much more than ankle deep so they wouldn’t have wanted to spend any time in there. Really confused me and others around the pool.
I’ve seen reviews about towels being changed etc, but we were happy with the cleaning. You don’t really need your towel changed every day.

Just returned from a lovely chilled out, four night stay with a friend. Lovely welcome upon arrival. We were promptly shown to our studio which we were more than happy with. It was basic but clean. Lovely pool view from our balcony.
Pool area is very and clean and plenty of sunbeds to choose from (it's only May tho so not sure how busy it gets in peak season).
Our room was cleaned every day, and during our short 4 night stay we got new towels and bedsheets.
Great, friendly staff, owner a lovely man who always has a chat if you're passing by or having a drink at the bar.
Beach is a 10 minute walk away and a supermarket very close by. Plenty of bars and restaurants right on the doorstep.
All in all a great little holiday and I highly recommend this place!!!
