This hotel resort is superior in every way. We stayed in the boutique hotel part which featured five gorgeous rooms all with a view of the lovely white beach and Indian ocean. The hotel runs on an all inclusive basis which includes almost everything you could think of with an excellent warm smiling staff always willing to serve you. one review gave this hotel one star based on the fact that if you choose to eat in the separate beach restaurant you have to pay as this is not part of the package. This is made very clear to all guests on arrival so it should not be an issue and in no way reflects on the hotel.
A lovely exclusive swimming pool is never crowded and there is also an option to sunbathe nearer the beach again in an exclusive area served by the hotel. Room are huge and very comfortable, the food is excellent and provides enough choice for most people. The chef is always willing to adapt the meal to suit your personal preferences.
The hotel feels like it is home for a very wealthy family (which it is) rather than a hotel with a 'snooker' room and extensive reading material for most tastes. The room do not have TV in then (why would you want it in such a beautiful place) but there are two separate lounges where there are TV and DVD facilities. A chauffeur service is provided for this wanting to visit the local town and for trips to and from the local airport.
Finally a superb masseuse is on site and at extra cost one can have a very relaxing and invigorating massage.
Definitely a great hotel fully recommended without any reservations.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words. We truly appreciate you taking the time to review your experience and in particular we are grateful that you have addressed the dining issues which appears to be confusing to some. At Almanara our aim was to create a home from home feeling for all our guests and it's so nice to read your comments. We hope to see you back again soon. Thanks, LG

Why do I even begin to describe this property ?My husband son and I were fortunate enough to go on safari with Angama and arrived directly from there to have some rest and relaxation at Diani Beach. We were picked up seamlessly at the airport and driven to the villa which is very close. The grounds and boutique hotel are absolutely immaculate and the villas share a common pool, which is shaded and absolutely lovely. But I think the star of the show are the villas! We stayed in Villa number six, these are three bedroom air conditioned villas that are thoughtfully decorated, incredibly tasteful, and truly comfortable. Each villa has a rooftop terrace and a beautiful outdoor terrace for dining. Each villa also has its own private chef and server which I cannot overstate how amazing that is!! Every day Dixon would ask us what we would like for breakfast, lunch and dinner and he more than delivered! The food was incredibly fresh, made with local ingredients, spotlighting the amazing seafood on the coast, and was plated beautifully. Our server, Faith, went above and beyond to make sure that each meal was amazing. The spa is also amazing, some of the best treatments I’ve ever had! Make sure that you utilize it while you are here! The beach is white soft sand that is clean and beautiful and goes on for miles. And the staff have been amazing at organizing things for us to do. My husband played golf nearby. We had two amazing dives nearby, and they have kite surfing next-door. It is absolutely the perfect place to sit back and relax and enjoy the beauty of the Indian ocean. All in all we were completely and thoroughly impressed at the thoughtfulness of the staff and we look forward to returning again. Thank you for such a truly memorable and wonderful stay🩷

My husband and I have just spent 6 days in their boutique hotel ‘Casa Bella’. What a beautiful and serene place to end a safari. With only 5 rooms it was intimate and quiet. We had Suite 1 and it was HUGE, with a very comfortable bed and seriously large bathroom. The views of the ocean from the spacious balcony were straight out of a holiday brochure. The grounds are full of palm trees (it looks like no trees were disturbed in building this resort) and the black and white Colobus monkeys swing by on a regular basis which I loved. We spent our time relaxing by the lovely pool or strolling along the sandy beach.
The food was divine. There was a daily menu board that you could choose from, but the chef was happy to offer alternatives if they weren’t to your liking. All the staff were amazing, from the gardeners, security, the pool guys, the drivers, housekeeping. Literally everyone was engaging, smiley and pleasant to talk to. There was always someone on hand and nothing was too much trouble. Exceptional service in paradise. I cried when we had to leave. A very special place and thank you for ending our trip on such a high.

Beautiful setting on the beach, which goes on for miles and miles. Water is clean, with some nice waves. We stayed in a three bedroom villa which was well furnished and spacious. The team (chef, cleaner, waitress) looking after us were very nice, committed, and flexible, after the first day.

But the place wasn't ready for us. It had just opened and it didn't have many of the foods ('we can get that for you tomorrow' was the regular response) we wanted on the first few days. At this price level - it is expensive - foods should be available (as they in other hotels in Diani).

They were still working on maintenance of Sails restaurant for two days which meant construction noise (e.g. drilling) whilst we were trying to relax on the sun loungers. We weren't told of this work otherwise we wouldn't have come. Also, my wife had a massage which resulted in a back injury, which she is having to get help with back in the UK; the masseuse used far too much pressure. When she mentioned it at the time, and afterwards, she didn't even apologise (yes, the cost was taken off the bill).

The place has a nice beachfront location and the villas are beautiful but there was no atmosphere because there were only one or two other guests

Almanara was my best Diani experience over the last 15 years. The welcome party was exceptional, made us feel right at home. The villa setup was ideal for our group of friends inclusive of a chef, waiter and cleaner. It was the little touches about Almanara that made our stay exceptional: attention to the smallest details, fantastic food, free transport around Diani. We were on B&B but the extra meals were highly affordable with an extensive menu if you choose to dine in-house. Moses at the pool bar filled our trip with lots of laughter. Looking forward to come back to this paradise.

AlManara amazing team; you did it again… you went beyond and above my expectations with yet another fantastic stay at your beautiful villas. Esraa at welcoming us at the entrance of the lobby, Fadi & Manar at the main restaurant and Mohamad Saadi (a success story that I am proud to know way back in 2009). The beach team of Omar, Ousama, Ahmad & Ahmad who were attentive to our needs and maintained the beautiful sand to be safe and smooth to walk on barefooted. SARAH at the spa gave me a taste of heaven with her professional hands and the Heavenly signature massage I HIGHLY recommend this, it’s simply out of this world). Leah and her sunshine smile which lit the breakfast with her positive vibes. You are amazing.
This special place will always be my FIRST choice of stay, no matter what. I can’t express my gratitude for your loving care at every post and role. God bless you all. See you on my next trip. ❤️🙏

We spent four nights at this beautiful, luxurious property and were pampered beyond belief !

We were fortunate to have the boutique hotel entirely to ourselves and the staff catered to us at every turn-Abdulatif and Terri served us at every meal and were so
attentive to our needs. Our chefs personally prepared meals with our input and delivered food that was truly exceptional!

We enjoyed the beautiful terrace for dining and the pool and beach were spectacular. The very large suite was really beautiful and equipped with a huge closet with lots of storage and an enormous bathroom with a huge tub, double sinks and a shower with fantastic shower pressure.

We had enjoyed a nine night safari before our arrival and found our stay to be a perfect way to unwind before our long journey home. If we could award this property and its warm and responsive staff 10 stars we would… just book a stay here and experience paradise for yourself.

We just came back from the most amazing stay at Almanara. Everything about this hotel exceeds expectations! The setting is idyllic on Diani’s beautiful white sandy beach and the hotel style is a blend of traditional Kenya with modern comforts (huge beds, luxury products etc…). The beach is stunning and so quiet; the small size of the hotel means guests always have plenty of space to enjoy the surroundings.

We stayed in a family villa so had dedicated staff looking after our every need. The service was impeccable and we were so well looked after; nothing was too much trouble. Our chef prepared fresh meals, accommodating adult and children’s tastes, and each was one like eating in a five star restaurant! All around the hotel the staff are friendly and happy.

We also enjoyed a relaxing massage with the wonderful onsite masseuse and tried out the water sports including body boarding, paddleboarding and canoes. The boat trip to sand island is also a must! We were even lucky enough to see dolphins on the way! Almanara made our post-safari time in Kenya truly magical and I can’t wait to go back!

All I can say is WOW!. What a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in a garden Villa and it did not disappoint! We had our own Chef, maid and server. The Villa was stunning with 3 bedrooms, large living and dining area, large kitchen, oversized patio with beautiful furniture that give you the African experience and 3 full bathrooms and another half bathroom. The rooftop terrace was so large and comfortable. A large comfortable pool right outside our door and what a beach! Lounge chairs that were so comfortable. The menu is much larger than most North American restaurants and Francis our chef can make anything on the menu taste so delicious. The Lobster Thermidor was one of the best I ever had. The Crusted snapper was also fantastic. The crab pasta was so good. I was going to take Francis home with me!. I took my daughter on a special Father and Daughter trip and they did not disappoint. Our server and maid were also wonderful. The staff made our trip. Our bartender catered to all our needs with delicious drinks. Great long walks on the beach. No complaints here. 5 star all the way. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful vacation.

We stayed at the Almanara last summer with our two children, where we enjoyed beach vacation after a good week on safari.

The apartments at the Almanara are beautiful and offer plenty of space for the whole family with several bathrooms, bedrooms and a living room.

The terraces and the pool invite you to play or relax and the short distance to Diani Beach is very convenient.

I want to highlight the excellent service we enjoyed during our stay. Pius and Francis did a wonderful job of ensuring that we had everything we wanted at all times and that we were well pampered with culinary delights. We won't forget the dinner you prepared from the fish our son caught. A special thank you to you both!

In total we can highly recommend the Almanara for family vacation.

There is a gift shop which sells sun lotions etc but not regular toiletries. The hotel provides some toiletries. There is a shopping centre close by and the hotel can arrange to take you there. Incidentally irrespective of toiletries, you will not regret staying in Almanara Luxury Villas. It is a really amazing place and the people and service are unbelievable. You will have an unforgettable stay.

Meals at sails were separate. I only ate what the chefs made at the villa. Hint: go take a look at the sails menu then go back to your private chefs at the villa and tell them to make the same for you. 😁
