This was our first trip to Corfu. We travelled to Arillas during August 2020 and felt very safe in the village and apartment regarding the cleanliness and social distancing measures locally. It was possible for my husband, 2 kids and me to feel both safe and relaxed enough to feel like we were away from it all. It was very quiet when we visited.
Arillas is easy to get around walking and there are plenty of choices for eating out at restaurants that are all very child friendly with kids food options and lots of gluten free or dairy free options too. There are a choice of local shops for groceries and a bakery nearby. If you wanted to eat in (but why would you, with so many lovely places to eat so close with lovely views?), the apartment is well equipped for cooking with a compact kitchen including a range of cooking appliances, clean fridge with small freezer, and clean plates, cutlery etc.
There is plenty of hot water for cleaning and bathing etc. The shower and large bath were perfect for our needs. Towels were provided and, in accordance with the Covid safe guidance, clean replacements were left in bags ready for us to access when we wanted to change them. The owners did not enter the apartment during our stay in order to maximise the social distancing but we felt confident that, if there was any problem they would have helped instantly. We did not experience any problems with the apartment. Beds were comfortable, bedding was clean and mosquito nets were provided that were effective (and felt very special and tropical to sleep under). It is possible to use the shutters on all windows to get a complete black-out - which is great if you like your kids to sleep-in a bit later in the mornings.
It is a quiet location and is popular with people who travel for meditation and yoga as well as being popular with families with children. We were told that the sea there is very special and we feel that actually it is! The sea was warm and there is a large area of shallow water at the beach that makes it perfect for kids. In the daytime the sea water in Arillas is a lovely colour and very clear. However our favourite time to swim in the sea was in the evening (as the locals do), going from around 6pm up to sunset: a wonderful experience that the owners suggested we tried and we’re so glad we did. The cliffs have special mud that locals apply to their skin for that spa experience not to be missed. Try it.
Swimming pools can be accessed at the 2 restaurant/hotels next door to the apartments. We used The Rainbow. It was really clean and a good size. We swam a lot and the kids loved it too. We ate lunch there many times and the food was really tasty. The restaurant owners were friendly and fun, whilst respectful of the new Covid rules. The alternative pool also looked good and clean. It was easy to walk between the apartment and either pool.
I think it is clear to see that we had a wonderful stay at this apartment and would highly recommend the accommodation and Arillas. Thank you.

We come to Arillas and Irene Villas for ten years now - and were very happy when finally the islands opened to tourists again. We arrived on July 2nd and it felt like early season with hardly any tourists in the beginning and a lot of hotels and restaurants still preparing to open. But all our favourite places were welcoming guests already and everything we needed was available. Everyone in Arillas is trying to make your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and to follow the ever-changing pandemic regulations at the same time. And so is Irene Villas.
Of course, not everything is the same this year, as the owners have made some adjustments due to the corona crisis. Among other things, rooms are left empty at least a day between guests and remote controls have a disposable plastic cover now. Since no one is allowed to enter your room during your stay, no one is going to change bed linen and towels. However, all you need is provided so that you can do it on your own. Nevertheless Irene Villas is still the same friendly, cosy and clean place as it has been in the ten years before. We stayed at our favourite apartment with the huge balcony at the front and enjoyed our holiday very much. We hope, that the infection numbers will stay low and the season will be ok for everyone. And, of course, we will be back next year.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. It was the first time for us in Arrilas and after much searching we thought that these apartments ticked all the boxes.

Just off the main road down to the beach and so peaceful just the odd cockerel welcoming in the morning and clucking around during the day but got to say that it was'nt a bit disruptive. The area is very peaceful. Takes around 10 mins to walk to the beach but we did take our time as it was very hot and other half has a bad knee ! There are lots of pit stops on the way !! So it could be done a lot quicker but hey you are on your hard earned holiday !

We had apartment 6, which is on the front and has a huge balcony which comprised of a sun lounger table and 2 chairs and a further 3 peice wicker set. It got the sun in the morning and was lovely and shady in the afternoon.

Eleni has just done a refurb in this one and it has a lovely modern kitchen with all the stuff you would need to make some food. We personally didnt as there are so many resonable places to eat out.

The beds are so comfy normally in Greece they can be a bit hard Eleni solved this by memory foam toppers. Beach towels and brolly are provided. Aircon is also included which was brilliant and safe deposit box as well. Also a great coffe maker which Eleni provided the coffee and showed me how it worked.

Eelni and Spiros are two of the nicest people you will meet. So helpful nothing to much trouble. We had a late flight home and Eleni found us a room in a nearby taverna where we could have a shower and stow our luggage at no extra cost not many people would go the extra mile. Spiros moved the luggage in his car ! and she also sorted the taxi to and from the airport which takes around one hour and cost 65 euros.

The aprtments are also spotless with Spiros doing most of the cleaning, Eleni is always on hand if you need anything.

The Marvel hotel next door do fabulous food which is so resonable. You can use their sunbeds and pool if you buy a couple of drinks. Also Athina is just across the road and the food is traditonal wholesome and yummy.

I would 100 percent recommend these apartments and hope that one day we will return.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the renovated apartments and updated equipment. The bedroom still looks spacious, and now the new furniture adds even more comfort and coziness. The facilities are for both men and women.
We are in love with the beautiful balcony and the space it provides for relaxation, a late dinner or just an afternoon nap. In order not to worry about mosquitoes, there are mosquito nets on the doors.
The kitchen is fitted in the same style of furniture and has ample upper and lower cupboards. If you are a coffee lover, there is a modern coffee machine and Eleni will supply you with coffee capsules to your taste. The fridge is big enough to please everyone and hold a dozen bottles of my favorite elixir - Corfu beer, which I fill it with more than regularly. We used the kitchen because we alternate restaurants and home cooking and I can say that we do not miss anything to prepare and serve different dishes.
The internet speed is very good and I don't have to limit myself at the expense of another family member.
There is thick shade for several cars in the backyard of the cottage.
The owners, Eleni and Spiro, are always helpful and hardworking, they will find time and answer to your every question and wish.
The beach of Arila is to our liking - sandy, and the sea water was clear and very pleasant. We also visited the beauties of the nearby Afionas, Porto Timoni, the beach of Saint George, Paleokastritsa.
Nearby restaurants will satisfy most tastes and offer fresh and well-prepared food.
We had another wonderful summer vacation in Arillas.

It was lovely to be back after the three year gap caused by Covid 19 travel limitations. We were delighted that Eleni & Spiros were able to accommodate us for our ten day break. We have always enjoyed our many previous stays at Irene Villas, and we were especially happy to find that this year, Eleni has been making many modifications to the apartments for the comfort and convenience of her guests. New furniture, a fridge freezer and mosquito screens were particularly noted; as well as new kitchen and bathroom cabinets. This was all over and above the usual friendly welcome that keeps us coming back again and again. Looking forward to going back next year already.

Irene Villas is charming place for a family vacation. The apartments are spacious, clean and very well equipped - air-conditioned, large beds, kitchen corner. There are enough parking spaces for visitors in the backyard. The garden in front is place for kid’s games – table tennis, swinging. The beach is near to the Villa and is sandy. It is perfect for the kids because it is not deep from the beginning. If you more like deep waters – the beautiful Agios Georgios beach is very close. Not to forget that small brewery that produces Corfu beer is close on the hill – you can buy directly from the brewery this elixir for the hot hours. The landlords - Eleni and Spiros are very kind. Their hospitality makes you feel at the right place. In the neighborhood hotels there are two free swimming pools. The sunsets observed from some restaurant on the beach or on top of the hills in the neighborhood will help you to make astonishing photos.

I spent a fabulous two weeks at Irene Villas this past July, as I have done for several years now. Eleni and her family continue to provide excellent hospitality and service, to ensure that the holidays are comfortable, relaxing and stress-free.

Services include fresh towels provided daily or as needed, garbage removed daily from room, fresh sheets provided each week, for longer stays. Clean apartments that have every amenity from iron/ironing board to beach umbrellas and towels!
The kitchen is stocked with everything needed for preparing meals or snacks, and the spacious terrace has dining table and chairs, and lounge furniture for enjoying the outdoors.

The apartments are set down a quiet laneway just off a main village street, so you have privacy and a quiet location. Yet at the same time it's an easy 5-6 minute walk down to the sea and the centre of Arillas. There are lovely little retail shops along the way.

We booked on line and especially wanted 2 room appartment. As we arrived at 1am, Eleni had been in touch by email & text with all information for our arrival. The appartment was spotlessly clean, had fresh flowers & lots of thoughtful extras - water, beer, olive oil, salt & pepper washing up liquid, mosquito coils etc.
Every morning & evening Eleni or her husband were available & chatted to us, gave us fresh eggs & some veggies.
The location is prefect - quiet, off the main road but a few minutes walk to the beach, bakery [wonderful spinach pastries!] & restaurants [the best was vincermo's, last on the left if you are facing the sea before you round the corner - grilled squid was amazing!]
Our last evening we went with Eleni for cocktails & a real heart to heart.
It was a fantastic & calming break & we would definitely return. Thank you.

If you are looking after good place for relaxing holidays I will warm recommend Irene Villas in Arillas. Apartments are very large and comfortable but really cosy at the same time, with a fantastic sea view from the huge terrace. We spent en great time in June 2016, warm greeted ant treated by sympathetic Spiros and beautiful Eleni. It is a short distance to the great sandy-beach - especially very comfortable for the children. Arillas is not a large and noisy resort but the place with a good, charmy atmosphere and - consequently - in Irene Villas you will feel at home from the first day.
