The only reason we have marked this hotel as average is because we thought the room was in need of decorating and the bed creaked each time you moved and the mattress was very hard, upon saying that I asked for a mattress topper and...More
the room had everything we needed and also the extras that we had requested but what stands out at this hotel are the staff who are efficient, approachable, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ran into a couple of challenges in India however Serafino...More
We first visited Dona Sa Maria in 2014 and, when we looked four years later for an affordable holiday that we knew wouldn't disappoint, we had no hesitation in going back.

The rooms were practical and clean. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We were assisted in getting cars on Good Friday which wasn't easy but the hotel manager Anita made it happen.
Thank you Dona Sa Maria!
We spent 2 wonderful weeks here and it was just brilliant, all the staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food in the restaurant was amazing and also the service. With savio the head honcho making sure all was just...More

Yes there are trips a rep usually calls at the hotel most days or sarifino will point you in the right direction. The trip to the waterfall and spice garden is nice I think that worked out about £40 each. You can do Taj think thats a 3 day one and approx £400 each. We did the triangle one year for a week and then 2 weeks goa. The triangle trip was amazing and well worth it we booked that in this country. A day to old Goa is worth trip just to experience the train sarafino will organise taxi to train station and the train journey costs about 20p for half hour trip ...we usually get a taxi back which works out about £25. We went on house boat which was really nice apart from the wailing from approx 7pm until 6am with fire crackers going off so not much sleep that cost £180 for two fabulous sunset and sun rise evening meal and breakfast included pay for alcohol or take own like we did. We hire a scooter from Joe just down the lane and that works out about £20 a week you do need an international driving license which you get from uk main post office its about £8 if you dont have one you will get fined on the spot which i think goes into police back pocket. Lots boat trips usually someone at Dona organises one ...there is plenty to do or just chill ...hope you have a fab time :)
