We have recently returned from the Mystery Skiathos Luxury Residence in Skiathos town. The hotel is small which allows for a very personal and friendly atmosphere. The suite we stayed in overlooked the pool and had a separate lounge area with wet bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there . The breakfast was excellent and the night we ate dinner there was superb. Katarina, the hotel manager and all her staff were friendly, professional and helpful throughout our stay. Katarina even picked us up from the airport and drove us back to the airport at the end of our holiday. Skiathos town and the island is picture perfect. We loved everything about our week there and hope to return again in the future.

We should have stayed at Mystery Hotel for four nights following a visit to Athens, Alonissos and Skopelos, however Storm Daniel ruined our plans and we decided to stay longer in Skopelos and reduce our stay in Skiathos to one night, which was the day before we flew back to the UK. How disappointed we felt, after being shown our beautiful suite with hot tub, when we realised what we were going to be missing! After an early and delicious breakfast we departed to the airport. We are now planning to return to Skiathos next summer for a week and will definitely book this wonderful hotel.

This was my third time staying at the mystery and my family has a good relationship with the staff since my parents got married when they were staying in this hotel in 2019. Then we returned in 2021 and came back this year. Good things about the mystery Lots of choice for breakfast. The room was great and had a lovely view from the balcony over the town. The pool area is nice with a shady area. The location is great because it is only a 10 minute walk from the town. The staff were amazing with the kids and are very kind. The pool is great for kids and isn’t too deep. Not so good things about the mystery We went with a baby so it was hard to get up the steps as we were staying right at the top of the hotel. There wasn’t much choice for dinner as a picky eater, but atleast had a few things.…

We stayed at Mystery Skiathos luxury residence for my sons wedding Katrina was fantastic she couldn’t have been more accommodating. The rooms are big and really nice, the pool is lovely and the food and drinks at the pool bar are great. It is about a 10 minute stroll to Skiathos town but really quiet at night. Do not hesitate to book here I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for everything Katrina and all your staff.

Just spent two weeks at this delightful boutique hotel. Katerina & her team could not have been more welcoming, helpful and professional. Breakfast and afternoon cocktails around the private pool were particularly enjoyable. Well located just 5 mins transfer from airport and a 5 min walk (on the flat) to the old port and restaurants in the centre of Skiathos town. As per other reviews the hotel provides a calm oasis from the vibrant town centre. Local Water taxis to the islands beaches are €6 and great fun. The v efficient Skiathos buses, are only €2 and it's only a short walk from the hotel to the bus stop. We have no hesitancy recommending the hotel and we will be back ! Andrew & Rebecca

We arrived in Skiathos the day after the horrific storms that decimated parts of Skiathos. It was late as our flights had been delayed. We were tired and hungry. Katerina the manager made sure we had a lovely dinner and settled us into our suite. Due to the weather some of our plans needed adjustment and Katerina sat up with us, booking flights and offering suggestions. Every member of staff were friendly and helpful. Irena was always ready to help and Katerina went above and beyond. Our stay was a real pleasure

Like the previous reviewer, we too had a holiday of two halves - 4 days of beautiful sunshine, and 4 days of the worst storms that the island has experienced for generations. The hotel is run by Katerina and Tomas, along with their small staff. Everyone is so lovely, and can’t do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our hot tub room was great, with beautiful views across the town. The beds and pillows where comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day (even during the emergency when the whole island had no running water!). During the first few days, we enjoyed delicious meals by the pool, served by the wonderful Irene. We hired a car, and had some great days out on the other side of the island. Skiathos town is within easy walking distance and we enjoyed our evenings strolling around town, eating in some of the wonderful restaurants around the old port. During the emergency period, when we were under curfew, Katerina kept everything going - she fed us all, the rooms were cleaned, she reassured everyone, swapped and changed rooms around, juggling cancellations and making space for those of us whose flights were cancelled- nothing short of amazing! Thank you to you all for looking after us so well. And to anyone who is thinking twice about going to Skiathos after the storm….. go! Mystery is a modern building and was not affected by the storm. The Greek people really are remarkable - a fantastic clean up job is well underway and Skiathos is ready & waiting to receive tourists ❤️.…

A holiday of 2 halves but consistently amazing service from Katerina, Thomas and their team at Mystery. We were expecting 2 days of sun and 2 of rain for our short break, we were not expecting a state of national emergency with unprecedented amounts of rain and stormy conditions over 2 days! On the sunny days we experienced lovely breakfasts by the pool, helpful advice on which beaches best to visit and private transfers to and from the beaches. On the stormy days we experienced an above and beyond duty of care and reassurance that we would be safe - which we were - and this was hugely appreciated by all guests at what was a very stressful time for the island in general. We would have highly recommended anyway but when you see a team working so hard in a crisis to ensure your well being and safety, recommending them to others is the very least we can do. We had a wonderful holiday in the hot tub room. The hotel offers a delicious breakfast that you pre order your choice every day so it means it is freshly cooked. The food for lunch and dinner is very tasty and the staff did very well looking after us during the storms and floods. Always plenty food and water. Katerina and her small team were very hardworking and attentive. This is a family run buisness which makes it special seeing the same faces every day. We really enjoyed our stay. Thomas also was excellent for taking us to the port for our ferry and picking us up from the airport

What a fantastic holiday at Hotel Mystery !!! Run by a lovely couple Tomas and Katarina. The hotel is perfectly situated just a 10 minute walk into the centre of Skiathos. The service at the hotel could not of been better, Katarina happily organised us with the hire of a car and arranged for us to go to Parissis winery. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was kept to a high standard and cleaned daily. Excellent service from breakfast, drinks around the pool and lovely lunches and evening meals served by Flamur. The staff at the hotel were so welcoming and could not do enough for you. We would recommend you give this lovely hotel a try.
