Having been on a dozen holidays to Levante with Mark Warner we were incredibly disappointed at Kamari Beach. The swimming pools aren’t heated and were freezing. Apart from a few with wet suits or the very brave, the pools were empty …The sea was warmer. Food very average and the same night after night. Our swim up family pool room was very noisy with music and chatter from the terrace bar beside the room and we had loud cheering when the match was played on the TV in the reception just above which kept us awake past 11.30pm. Room was average and bathroom poor with no extractor and mouldy grouting. No original staff left - Mica, Fillipos etc all gone and no Rich - just some chap called Ali who claimed to have been Manager for 2 years until I asked about Rich. He was very ineffectual and most mark warner staff had been there only a matter of months. Everything felt like it needed upgrading from the rooms to the equipment and everything felt it was more about profit than providing a decent holiday as had been the case previously. Plastic chairs and paper napkins is not great for dinner. The children’s tennis booked in the UK turned out to be at 8am - not exactly a holiday friendly time so we ended up booking private lessons. All I can say is thank goodness we had good weather and we know not to go back unless there is substantial investment and improvements made. Might be nice to offer flight option from Heathrow ( as was always the case) rather than just cheap Gatwick flights.

We had a great week with Mark Warner. There was plenty of equipment for sailing/windsurfing/ paddle boarding /kayaking and we made good use of the 3 tennis courts and 2 paddle courts with great tuition in both tennis and paddle. There were good quality fitness classes multiple times per day too. The food at the buffet was good quality with plenty of choice. The local waiting staff were fantastic. We stayed in at garden room which overlooks the pool. The room was spacious for two of us, with a sofa area and coffee table. Would highly recommend this MW resort.

I have been on many Mark Warner and Neilson holidays and really really enjoyed this place. Good rooms, good sports equipment, lovely clean swimming pools, good safe swimming in the sea and really great Marker Warner management ( Ali & Gary) and teams. Greek bar staff a bit slow but I had a great trip. Hope to go again.

We had a lovely 2 week holiday here. The Mark Warner team are friendly, helpful and welcoming as are the staff that work in the hotel. Food is buffet style with plenty of choices, the grill often has locally caught fish. Lamb is always ont he menu and their beef casserole dishes never disappointed. I think if you are a vegan you should let the hotel know to increase your choices. Facilities are well looked after with a large pool and a kiddies pool and direct access to the beach and plenty of sun loungers and parasols. The beach is pebbly so if you have delicate feet like me bring some shoes you can wear in the water! Water sports are exclusive to hotel guests and operated by Mark Warner who have qualified instructors should you want to learn something new or just have a reminder session. paddle boarding, kayaking, Sailing. A number of fitness classes including aqua aerobics and stretch classes aswell as HIT class. There are tennis courts and bikes. Go on an organised ride or take one out and explore on your own. We cycled to the light house restaurant a couple of bays down for a lovely lunch and swim and also to Glista beach where we did some Snorkelling. Both had lovely Sandy beaches. Expect to pay 15e for a couple or sunbeds and a parasol. A regular Local bus service to take you to nearby villages. The pool bar does snacks and drinks all day. There is also a supermarket to pick up water and beers and other bits you may have forgotten. But it’s expensive compared to nearby Lardos. There was live entertainment twice a week whilst we were here. They were good Cover bands. We had glorious sunshine We’ve never been on a Mark Warner holiday but we certainly will again. A special thank you to the manager (Rich) Who took me to the pharmacy as I needed some medication that id run out of.

I have recently returned from my second trip to Kamari Beach Hotel. We had such a good time when we visited in June we returned for a two week break in August. The hotel is modern, fresh and welcoming as are Mica and the lovely staff. We love the whole Mark Warner offer of childcare, water sports, cycling and exercise classes. So much to do and so easy to access. The resort has four pools and plenty of sun beds. The beach is a bit stony but great wind for those looking to sail or windsurf, My son did two sailing courses and we frequently took out a catamaran despite being rusty sailors. The waterfront team were always incredibly helpful. My kids 8 and 13 were very happy to be in club which gave us free time to have a holiday. My husband did a number of the cycling trips to parts of Rhodes which he really enjoyed though it was incredibly hot. The hotel buffet was a real treat for me. Food was varied and tasty. The seating area is mainly outside with a lovely view of the sea. It can get a bit windy but on a hot day the wind is actually welcome. Would thoroughly recommend and we will return. Thank you to Rich, Alex, Mica and the team.

Our ninth Mark Warner summer holiday with our (now 16 year old) children. Genuinely poor and our worst MW holiday by far. Food poor. Restaurant crowded and noisy with plastic tables and chairs. Sailing equipment old, shoddy and frequently unavailable for guests not taking sailing courses. We were loyal customers until this experience. What have you done to that Mark Warner experience?

This is a really lovely hotel with great facilities. We are a family of five with children aged 15, 13 plus 8, and everyone had a lovely time. The staff are amazing and when we had any issues Alexandra and Mica did everything to rectify them. We preferred staying in the main part of the hotel as the family sea view rooms are in a separate area nearer the road, although they are more spacious and very close to the beach. The food, activities and entertainment are good and we really felt the staff cared that we had a nice break.

We have just returned from a truly lovely two week holiday at Kamari Beach, Mark Warner’s latest offering in Rhodes. As MW veterans we were delighted to see familiar faces in both the Greek staff and MW staff, in particular Mika, Rich and Alex. The warm welcome was extended to all guests and the hotel is located in a very pretty bay. We had a sea view family room in the annexe, this suited us well as it was quiet, and had lovely views of the beach. The family room had a comfy king size bed and two single beds that were through an archway. It was spotlessly clean with ‘just’ enough storage (I do overpack) and we liked having a decent sized fridge. The bathroom was a bit tight but perfectly adequate. I believe more interconnecting rooms are being considered for next season, and this would be my preference now our children are getting older. Food is good and plentiful with lots of options at both breakfast and dinner. Wine options are also better than in other resorts. We are at the fish restaurant next door which was lovely, and also chose to go into Lindos twice which was a great treat. Reception staff were so helpful booking it all for us. The pool has been commented on a lot, it’s lovely, our kids spent 90% of their time in it and we always got sun loungers. (Although there was fiercer competition than at any other MW resort I have been to. Much of this seemed to be guests securing them and then not using them all morning/ afternoon) For guests used to the 7 pools at Levante, it probably does seem more crowded, but there were plenty of quiet times to swim, which I did every day. Another adult pool is planned for next season and this will really enhance the resort, and mean there is less pressure on the pool. Water-sports and tennis were great and we enjoyed coaching/ courses in both. The courts are a bit bouncy, but none of us have recently been selected for Wimbledon, so it did not have much effect on our success in matches! Social tennis was friendly and very enjoyable. Asher was a fantastic coach, and Matt coached me, really helping me develop my confidence. Our sons did RYA sailing and loved it. Childcare was good, we felt that more shade was needed, and a more substantial ‘clubhouse’ for the juniors/kids as they didn’t have a room and seemed slightly in the shadow of indies. That said, I know improvements are planned. Our children couldn’t have cared less, made friends, ran around happily and did not ask for iPads so the formula still worked regardless of my thoughts! Overall, this resort was hugely enjoyable and whilst it is clearly still being developed it did not detract our experience of a great holiday, I look forward to seeing the planned additions, which I think will make it the best MW resort.

My husband has already reviewed our exceptional holiday. However I feel compelled to add an additional review . I lost / had stolen my phone just prior to boarding on our return home to Gatwick London . As I had left the country getting a police reference number etc proved a nightmare . Emailed every police station in the vicinity . A week later I was informed it had been handed in . DHL couldn't repatriate it as not packaged . On a whim and a prayer contacted Kamari ....OMG they were excellent - Alex Gatej Operations Manager , made sure it was picked up from the police station . DHL Greece were a nightmare to deal with so she arranged for a hotel guest she knew to bring it back to the UK . Fiona, whoever you maybe , packaged it exceptionally and posted it back ! Thank you Thank you Thank you . We had already had an exceptional holiday but this was by far over and beyond ....will definitely be back next year to thank you personally !

Just returned from a week with Mark Warner at the Kamari Beach. It was ok but really doesn't reflect value for money any longer in our opinion. We consider ourselves veterans of the MW/Neilson recipe and of course privileged to be getting away in financially uncertain times. So thoughts Hotel is as you would expect for this type of holiday. "garden view" as a description of the rooms probably stretches that definition. We struggled with lots of noise at night from the villas and hotel behind. Also with noise of teenagers running around at night. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the cleaning ladies lovely. The food was very disappointing, but I didn't have to cook it. The pool is lovely but boy is it crowded. Unless you partake in the morning sunlounger dash at about 7.30 you will not get a space. Waterfront Great staff. Felt that safety was a high priority. Husband is an enthusiastic sailor. There are only 2 lasers which are heavily patched and seen better days. The kit really needs investment. SUPs are a cheap industrial version. Do not expect RED boards. As such they handle like a bus. However the sea is spectacular, clear and warm. We didn't use bikes or tennis so can't comment Fitness was good though bear in mind it is seriously hot. Would be good if the flow was a little more peaceful in the evening. More yoga. Lots of people using the fitness platform to do their own thing Entertainment in the evening was actually pretty good (and I speak as someone who doesn't usually join in) Clubs. Our 15 year old didn't go to Indy's and boy was I pleased. At times I felt like I was on a club 18-30 holiday (do they still run?) Or an episode of Love Island. The younger half of Indy's were really quite intimidating as a group, several of us spoke to them about their language in the pool which was not appropriate with little ones around. This wasn't silly pranks like putting a Pico in the pool but obnoxious, unpleasant behaviour that seemed to have no boundaries. Diving We had pre-booked the open water diving for our son. He had a great time and the course seems rigorous. Only comment was that on the first day they didn't stop for any food or water having left resort at 8 and returning at 4. He was exhausted and still had to finish his theory and sit the test. But this shouldn't detract from the fact he had an awesome time. So. In general like other authors, I'm not suggesting we had a rubbish holiday, it was fine. But very different vibe from previous MW holidays and I don't think I will return.
