This was my second visit to this Hotel and I returned because it is a very lovely ,stylish hotel with the best staff who I found gave good service all round. My room was bright, comfortable and pleasant with two patio doors to enter and one for the balcony I felt very spoilt. There, was a nice shower room and a good luggage area for your clothes, shoes and bag which helped to keep the room tidy there was a fridge where you could store your water drinks which you do need because it is hot and there was a good selection of tea with a small kettle. I felt very at home in the apartments and would return again. I loved laying by the pool which wasn't too busy and had enough areas for you to relax and the staff made me feel special. I stayed bed and breakfast but there were time that I didn't want to look for restaurant which there were a few outside of the hotel I was allowed to eat at the hotel and paid on the night or at the end of the trip.

There is a beach close by which is is named Barbati Beach and you can walk it from the hotel it was nice with locals however I felt comfortable they, also have a good Restaurant which served a lot of food.

We stayed at the Pantokrator Hotel for 10 days booked via Jet2 Holidays. We had booked a 2 bed suite but on arrival were told there was a problem with the bath so were reallocated to 2 separate rooms. This was fine for us as our children are older and very self sufficient but could have been an issue for a family with younger children. For us it meant an extra bathroom and a bit more space and privacy so wasn't a problem at all. The hotel is on a steep hill so there's a walk up steps to the bedrooms which are spacious with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, storage space and balconies overlooking the bay. They were cleaned and towels changed daily (apart from Sundays). There's a fridge in each room which was very useful for chilling water etc which can be bought at a little mini market a couple of hundred metres from the hotel. We booked half board which was a good deal and the food was a pleasant surprise - lots of choice of fish, meat and vegetarian options, always plenty of fresh fruit and delicious Greek salad. Breakfast was plentiful with yoghurts, fruit, breads, cold meats, croissants etc as well as eggs, bacon etc for those who wanted something more substantial. Everything seemed fresh and food was replenished regularly. The hotel was full but the pool area never seemed too busy and there were always plenty of sunbeds / day beds to go around. There seemed to be a lot of wasps around the pool edge which was a bit of a pain but otherwise it was a lovely area, again with great views over the bay and a nice pool bar serving food and drinks and playing chilled music. The outdoor gym was well equipped and not busy. All the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great holiday.

Stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of August. Fabulous location if you want quiet. This hotel is based up on a hill. So you need to be fairly fit to get up and down. The hotel is very quirky. Each row of rooms is set out on little streets that go further up the hillside. We requested a quiet family room and our room was at the very top. The room was ample with a large bed, aircon, large bathroom with bath, separate shower. Its came with two single beds and a fridge. The TV didnt tune in, and the safe needed new batteries but we weren't too bothered to complain. Baring in mind the heat the distance up and down to the reception/restaurant and pool area was a bit of a trek. we counted 100 steps up to our little street from the pool. The hotel is half board so breakfast and dinner included. (drinks at dinner were to be purchased including water). Due to the heat we didnt really move away from the hotel and purchased lunch and drinks by the pool, it was easier to put the costs on the room number and pay off at the end although you could pay there and then. Pool was clean and warm, the facilities were plenty and never struggled for a lounger. There were minimal youngsters so was quiet and pleasant to relax. There is a free car to the top and bottom of the hill every 30 mins from the hour for those who struggle. The bus stop is at the bottom of the hill for both direction. A bus to Corfu town (40mins approx) was 3.60 euros one way, its about 45euros in a taxi one way. Down the hill is the beach and a few shops and a resturant. Its a fairly quiet affair but Ipsos is not too far if you like nightlife. The hotel was very clean at all times, rooms cleaned daily. The food was fairly standard. Continental for breakfast and varied at dinner. Not much for vegetarians. The staff were excellent, friendly and understanding. I just wish we had gone before the temperature soared that way we would of explored more and walked more. yes id go again but maybe in may.

Great stay in a lovely hotel. Amazing view of the ocean. Jet2 transfer minibus dropped us off straight outside reception. And hotel minibus then took us up to our rooms. This bus is not always around, so be prepared to walk. This hotel/area is not suitable for less able-bodied or if you have problems walking. A lot of steps and steep hills to climb.
Rooms look like small apartments set into a mountain - very pretty, large bed with modern detail, could do with more lighting within the room as quite dark in places. We had one or two issues, no hot water and air con stopped working, but this was sorted quickly.
Food was lovely, but a bit boring after a few days, as always the same. I believe that water should be free to drink with our evening meal and not charged 2.50 euros. Pool bar food was excellent, but beware of the wasps which are a nuisance all over the area.
Pool area and pool were great with plenty of sunbeds.
Area, not much to do in the village, as only a couple of bars, couple of restaurants and a few small supermarkets. The road is very busy with traffic, rough, (cracked and uneven road surface) and no pavements. Main beach a good 10/15 min walk, pebble beach, 15 euros for 2 sunbeds and then they pester you to buy drinks, annoying. Beware of the cats (they will urinate on your bag if left on ground).
Green Bus, very good value for money to go and see Corfu, but if its raining buses are packed and you could be waiting for hours for the buses to turn up and then its who can push to get on bus first. My advise if you want to tour the island, hire a car. Plenty to see in Corfu town and a trip on a Pirate Ship within the old port for 10 euros is a must.

We've just arrived back home after a fab 1 week stay at the Pantokrator hotel. Couldn't fault a single thing about the hotel. We booked and researched the hotel and our expectations were exceeded. Yeah, there is a hill to climb up to the hotel but if you're not able or willing there's a car that can pick you up. The views are absolutely spectacular, looking around the bay towards Corfu town in one direction and across to Albania in the other. The room that we were given (205)was really nice with an extra large bed, bath looking out of the patio, wash basin and separate toilet and shower, again views to die for from our large balcony. The food and staff were all first class, very friendly and nothing was a bother for them. There's a small beach at the bottom of the hill but the main beach was about a 10min walk along the road into town and its such a nice beach with plenty of sunbeds @ 5 euros each. The only fault was on our behalf as we wished we could have stayed longer as a week simply wasn't enough for us. We'll definitely be returning this time next season.

My partner and I were blown away during our stay at the Pantokrator hotel. We stayed in a superior room with sea view, we were impressed with the furnishings and the balcony had an amazing view of the corfu coastline. We opted for half board and the food was a Very high standard and different every day. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The only criticism of the entire week was that the TV channels were in German. The hotel pool was a good size, never over-crowded and had a good beach bar. We were pleasantly surprised by the village of Barbatí, with a lovely beach just around 10 minutes walk from the hotel and a supermarket also nearby. The hotel is situated on a hill however a shuttle service runs every 30 mins if you don’t want to walk. It is easy also to travel into corfu using the green bus service costing only €4.40 return. Another highlight of the week was hiring a boat from Spiros boat hire located on Barbatí beach (very reasonable at approx €100 for the day and a friendly service).

Overall we had a fantastic stay and hope to return in the near future!

Couldn’t have asked for better. Upon arrival we were met by the reception staff who came to take our cases, they then told us we had an upgraded room before driving us up to it and taking our cases in. The room was nice, with a fridge and coffee making facilities, plus a lovely view from the veranda. The pool is beautiful and the view from there is stunning.

The food offered a great variety of Greek food and the bar also offered a good selection of drinks. The reviews mentioning wasps were right, but that can’t be helped and it’s easy enough to swat them away or sit inside.

The hotel is on a steep hill, but it’s far from impossible to climb. We ended up walking it every time as we didn’t see the point of getting the shuttle. If you’ve got a basic level of fitness you’ll be able to do it easy, you might be a bit out of breathe but it’s nothing really.

The front desk were super helpful, especially with bus times and wash rooms/suitcase storage for when you’re leaving. For buses into corfu town I’d suggest getting off at the stop in the middle of the town (I think it’s the first stop after Ipsos) and getting back on at the green bus station (about a 15 min walk) as it was much easier to find.

Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back again.

I loved this hotel ! We stayed in a superior sea view room, it could sleep 3 people and did have a proper bed for the 3rd person not just a roll out. It was also thought out to give privacy which was really good, it made for a quirky but functional layout. Bathroom had a massive bath and a walk in shower and a full glass wall which made the room feel bigger but it also had an opaque glass door and blinds that again added to the privacy. There is a large undercounter size fridge with tea/coffee making facilities and a little safe. The balcony has 3 comfy chairs a table and a dryer for towels. We stayed HB and food was lovely, great selection on a buffet style. If mobility is an issue though this hotel is not for you it is all hills and steps but that wasn’t an issue for us. There are supermarkets, bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk down the hill and a regular bus service to Corfu town at 2 euro 40 each one way. The pool area is fab sunbeds are not packed together and we never had an issue finding one. You never felt crowded. The staff are lovely and helpful which made for a great stay. Would I stay again ? Absolutely no question.

The hotel views are stunning but getting there is not for anyone with poor mobility.

Getting to the beach! The curtesy bus drops you off on the main road which is useless as the hill down to the beach is equally steep. Food was good.

Room 400s have dreadful internet. We asked reception if we could move as we were staying 3 weeks (needing access for my business) and had heard other guests on lower levels had no issues. Our requests were ignored (although the reception staff said they would try and as the hotel was slowing getting emptier at the season end it was disappointing that they didn’t.

I could say that the dining room staff need to be a little bit more careful about food labelling as they have vegetarian food ( labelled that contained meat ) ., when we pointed this out, they just questioned if we are vegan and the chef rolled his eyes when we said plant based diet. Not sure how this would play out if you have a serious allergy.

Although I sound a bit moany, I still loved my stay and I would come back.

I am writing an objective, honest review about the hotel, Corfu, our holiday etc, in the hope that our fellow travellers will do the same.
So, we came with EasyJet holiday which was good with small delay and we were lucky enough to have a private transfer to Barbati which was really great.
The resort was great for us, as we prefer to be away from the bigger resorts, but it’s a matter of choice.
Barbati is a great small village but will not recommend it for people with mobility issues, as the beach is accessible via either not so easy steps, or steep road that not for everyone.
However, there were many older people that have managed very well and we found some very useful short cuts.
Car, we recommend, as this is the easiest way to explore the island and find all the hidden gems and beautiful small beaches. (North is much better than the south), but unless you are an experience, good driver, don’t bother to drive, as some of the mountain road can be challenging, also the maps can be confusing, I recommend to follow the sat nav.
We hired a car in town and saved 25% on the cost with probably older car and all went perfect, but I realise it’s not for everyone.
Corfu is a beautiful island but a well-established, mass tourism resort, so you need to pick carefully and according to your preferences, where you want to stay.
Corfu town is a busy congested place, but great place to visit for few hours to see the main tourist attractions.
Now to the hotel, the hotel was great, beautiful location, amazing view and fantastic facilities for 3 stars hotel. However, you have to realize that if you want an hotel with amazing view, it will normally have to be on a hill or foot of a mountain, hence don’t complain you have a steep hill to climb.
Never the less, the shuttle bus was absolutely fantastic and very flexible.
Many units are up the mountain and extra climb but the view is even better, the shuttle bus can take you up or you can have a car and park near some units.
Facilities and all shared building were excellent, in very good condition and beautiful including outdoor gym, pool and sitting area.
The hotel is offering half board and the food is absolutely excellent.
Wi fi is none existence in the rooms, as they are individual units and impossible to offer in individual unit, but exists in the main building and pool.
Staff and service are the best I ever seen in any place I ever been to, professional and hard working.
I will recommend this hotel with all my heart but for the right people that prefer a place away from the crowd with stunning views and beautiful location.
Finally, there are busses to town at the bottom of the hills and the beach chairs in Barbati are expensive.
Weather, we have few days of rain, but used them to explore the island and visit some amazing places on the island.
Took a boat out which was a great fun and Ionian Sea is very calm, great fun and easy to operate.
