Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This place is fantastic. The hosts are incredibly friendly, the apartments wonderfully secluded, and the food is beyond delicious, and the dogs are super cute (nice company if you’re a dog person). Usually we are ready to leave for our next vacation stop, but could easily have stayed for another week. The location is easy to access, and small towns in the area are abundant for great day trips. The hospitality here is simply perfect, and I highly recommend staying here.

The place is really a paradise in all aspects. We have targeted the holiday at this Agriturismo with the clear idea in mind of relaxing. We have two small kids and therefore the plan was not to go around visiting cities all the time. The place has fulfilled 100% our expectations. We have had a very large and comfortable room and the entire house was so quiet and relaxing in all aspects that we have had the chance of focusing just on our kids all the time. The wonderful pool was almost all the day just for us because most of the tourists come there to visit other places. Then the food and the owners Pietrina and Jasmine...we felt like being part of their family. All has been so perfect and tasty. The owners were incredibly warm and tried in every way to satisfy all our needs. Having been there with babies of 1 and 3 years of age is not easy from the food perspective but the owners have cooked anything that would have make them comfortable (and their plates were always empty at the end)! The only less positive point that I wouldn’t say negative at all is the separation between the house and the restaurant that unfortunately has forced us with two small babies to do the way by car very often. But as said, if I will go there (as I really hope) again in the future, this will not be an issue because older kids would just love be walk in the nature. And finally also the location is perfect because with very short distance it is possible to reach all the beautiful cities around, like Volterra. I recommend everything of this Agriturismo and I wish myself to visit it again many times in the future!!

My family and I spent 15 days there and we are in completely love with this place !!! It’s a business run by the most sweet and wonderful family !!! We connected instantly! They made us feel completely at home ! The rooms are exactly what you expect from a Tuscany farm house ! Beautiful scenery and it’s peculiarities makes for a perfect Tuscany experience. And the food, oh my God it’s amazing. The owner, Pietrina cooks at their restaurant the most delicious Sardegna and Tuscan dishes, using fresh ingredients pick up inside the property. It can’t get any fresher ! Absolutely delicious ! And don’t miss the home made Grappa, Limoncello and the amazing Mirto made by the owner Francesco. Truly unique and unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to get back there !!!

This year again we visited Il Pratone to experience the charm of Jasmina and Pietrina. This is just a great place on earth to spend vacation for a family with children. There are many 'best of all' things here but breakfast and dinners are unforgettable. Once experienced, you will always miss it. Honestly.

Visited il Pratone restaurant at the end of May based on friends recommendation. As the owners are Sardinian we were presented with an incredibly traditional 3 course Sardinian meal. From the beautiful ravioli to the succulent suckling pig finished with Sardinian "sebadas" everything was second to none. We finished our meal in this beautiful outside veranda with an espresso and a chilled mirto liqueur. If you ever in the area and you like genuine homemade food do not forget to give this place a try. You will be certainly very satisfied.

Very rustic Italian food. Their pecorino cheese was amazing and made the antipasti unforgettable! Good selection of main courses. I had a lamb dish with olives that was cooked perfectly . Atmosphere was warm and the owners were very welcoming. The location is well off the beaten track and doesn't look much from the outside but well worth the trip.

Excellent experience. Went there for a family wedding and everything was fantastic. We rent the whole place and had full use of the property, even with tends for friends that arrived later. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious, some of them with private terrace for breakfast or dinner. Self service with nice kitchen/living areas. Country side atmosphere with all the modern conveniences. The owner very close by offer all the possible support and help. They have a nice restaurant too just in case you do not feel like cooking. Will need a car as I could not see public transport around but the owner offer to drive us if it was needed. Huge garden with shadowed areas and a lovely swimming pool. Great place to go for walks in Tuscany. Fantastics views. Some people took their bikes and they were happy cycling too. Hot in summer but pleasant close to the swimming pool or anywhere in the garden. No mosquitos either!

We have been to Il Pratone in May 2014 and it was wonderful :) Although the location was a little bit hard to find it was totally worth the 10 hours by car from Austria. We have never been to a place where we felt more like home. The apartements were clean and very lovely furnitured. Pietrina and her family were amazingly nice. There is one thing I want emphasise for everybody who wants to make holidays in Toscany: The meals were incredible dilicious - Pietrina should get a gault millau star for it :) So if you are in love with good food - this is the place to stay!!!! We wish Pietrina and her family all the best and hope to see them soon, Petra, Dominik and Noah
