The Grand Hotel Alingsas is a very nice hotel in the city center. A lot of restaurants are around the hotel I'm short distance. Also the main station is right next to it. It is definitely not the cheapest one but has a very good standard for Sweden outside the big towns.

We stayed here for one night, just a lay over enroute to Stockholm.room was descent, with ref and kettle. Great free breakfast, great staff, nice room. grocery and a handful of restaurants nearby. It is actually very near the sentrum of Alingsås so the location is excellent. parking is 50 kroner/ day (if I remembered it right). It's worth the...

The room and staf were excelent but they renovated the room in the building that I slept in så at 06:45 AM they woke me up with drilling. Also the brekfast had a litle to narrow offering, it was the standrard and I hoped for a bit more to chose from.

I've been booked and stayed at this hotel every year for the past few years. Now I understand it is leaving the First Hotel chain and going private. I can tell you they are spending a bit of money to make it a decent hotel, and for me to say that about a Swedish hotel is, a big thing! I'm...

Nice beds and well eqipped room. A quiet and nice hotel perfect for business trips. The breakfast was poor but ok. Could have been some berries and some more fruits with turkish yoghurt. But overall a nice hotel well worth the money.

It is old fashioned hotel in Alingsas. It's centrally located. Layout of the hotel is a bit strange.I found rooms not comfortable with strange layout. Noise from the streets and railway station was significant. Breakfast was really poor. It was not possible to get decent coffee in the hotel.

My superior single could have been a double. Very confortable although the decoration of the room was a bit dark in my taste. The bathroom was rather dull ,as often in Sweden, nobody seems to care about the decoration of them. The staff were all kind and helpful. A pleasant stay.

The hotel is very convenient located arriving by car, bus or train. Also very close to the local shops, dining, cafes and more. We found it easy to take the train to Gothenburg, in less than 40 minutes you where downtown. The golf offer is good and the course just nearby. Some rooms are located in the traffic street direction...

Very friendly with rooms that are nice and tidy. Newly renovated bathrooms. Decant breakfast even for people with lactose issues. Perfectly located in the central part of the city. Accept dogs! They even provided a dog bowl and some snacks for the dog.
