The decoration in this hotel is jaw dropping. Think Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen and then go a step further! It works without diminishing your sense of how old the main building is; every room has you talking and pointing things out to each other. Top marks.

Our room was very comfortable, a mix of good quality period furniture and, as with the rest of the hotel, some 'wow!' features such as the stand alone bath at the end of the bed and the most enormous gilt framed mirror. The shower was excellent, a walk in shower with both rain forest and standard shower heads. The hot and cold adjustment was instant and constant, this is sometimes a flaw in the best of showers but no complaints here.

Our room, and every room, was spotlessly clean. The towels smelled fresh, not stale and not 'bleachy'. Covid measures were in place and well adhered to. We opted not to have our room serviced to help with that and any extras (tea/coffee for the room, toilet roll etc.) were delivered to the door without delay.

The location is fantastic, just on the edge of the popular areas of Saltburn but still quiet. A short drive to the beautiful walks at Staithes, Runswick Bay, Sandsend etc. and close enough for a day out to Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Ravenscar etc.

The food. Every meal we had was superbly cooked and presented and breakfast is an event. The Brasserie menu is extensive and very good value considering the quality. The only area that we found less than excellent was the service. Aside from one particular breakfast which was a disaster from start to finish (no coffee, juice, butter on the table, forgotten order, no milk for cereal, brought to table in wrong order)

Love, love, love!! I walked in to reception and was greeted by a very nice receptionist, they took my temperature and all had face masks on. They have a hand sanitiser dispenser at the front of the desk which they asked me and my friends to use. Brockley hall was very accommodating to all of our dietary needs. With top standard drinks and food we would definitely come back! The staff are lovely and made us feel safe in these crazy times. Business have it hard now and it’s great to see them meeting the new regulations. Thank you brockley hall we will be back!

Lovely weather despite strong wind so decided to go for a walk. We drove to Saltburn and decided on Brockley Hall for coffee and scone. The decor is very interesting in its individuality. It was quite dark and luxurious with pleasant lighting and natural light coming in through the large windows. These cheese scones were perfect and came with a small pot of quality relish/chutney. The flat whites initially looked weaker than we prefer so we requested an extra shot each - no problem, brought within a couple of minutes. Smooth, strong and full of taste the coffee was in a generous cup. In the same room there were up to ten other people yet the atmosphere was calm, relaxed and unrushed.
We will definitely be returning.

Situated on a quiet road just minutes away from the sea front, this is an ideal place to stay when visiting Saltburn. With friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and excellent Covid compliance, I felt very safe and comfortable during my stay - particularly important as I was travelling on my own.
My stay coincided with the 'Eat out to Help Out' government initiative which made evening meals in the restaurant very affordable. Even at normal prices, the food is good value and of quite exceptional quality.
In all, a most enjyable three night stay.
Thanks to all at Brockley Hall

had a lovely visit today and as usual the food was gorgeous. The parma violet macaron made my day. Felt very safe as masks were worn on entry and there was a hand washing station straight away. Staff wearing visors also took guests temperature. Tables were separated with lovely screens and place settings were all done with social distancing in mind. Will definitely be returning and definitely would recommend for a visit.

Not sure what defines a boutique hotel? This hotel is probably a hit with some guests, but just the opposite with others. If you like a hotel full of quirky decor, etc...then it's for you. But we found all the random items not to our liking - although it's clear that someone has had a vision of what they were aiming for.
Our room was a classic double, and had all we needed, but pretty cramped for space, and very warm - the view out of our window was of a roof below which was covered by all sorts of unused equipment. When you're paying £150 a night for B & B, I think you could expect something better really.
The food in the restaurant is pretty good, but expensive - for example, over £16 for a burger. Breakfasts are good, staff friendly.
Only given an average score because I feel it's overpriced for what it offers. We left a bit disappointed to be honest....

Booked last minute for lunch. 5 course meal for £45.

The hotel is always beautifully decorated and especially at the time of year.

The staff are so welcoming and attentive nothing was too much trouble. I have a mushroom allergy, the first course contained both mushrooms and I believe truffle oil so the chef had a special off menu dish just for me.

The food was seriously stunning, every course was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The portion sizes were perfect and the service flowed smoothly from one course to the next with no massive waiting times between and neither were we made to feel hurried despite the restaurant being booked to capacity.
It was a joy to see the waiting staff move with grace and dignity between tables and no guests were left unattended.

I cannot recommend brockley hall highly enough, if you find yourself in saltburn do yourselves a massive favour and pay them a visit.

Booked at short notice to allow for an over night stay with drinks at a local restaurant recommended to us and with good weather forecast for the day. While there is parking advertised it is limited and as we turned up from work in separate cars we ended up parking on the road a short way down from it. We were warmly welcomed at reception and shown to our room which seemed to be a bit of a tour through various areas which all seemed to have an excess of stuff in them, as did the room. The room had a very large free standing bath in it which we thought was somewhat of a gimmick as it would take an age to fill! There were both blinds and curtains at the windows although these were badly fitted and would not keep the light out of an early morning sun rise. All breakfast items were ordered from the menu and therefore dependant on the staff remembering to bring everything together, even though it wasn't particularly busy. Difficult to justify the price charged apart from its location when you can have an equally enjoyable stay at a Premier Inn for less, it's just there isn't one there.

Booked afternoon tea for a Sunday treat , two traditional and two savoury. What an excellent spread , all of the food was lovely, tasty and fresh . The server was quick with our tea pot (real tea leaf) and the food followed quickly after that. Savoury food, pie ,sausage roll, etc were hot and tasty, the sandwiches, and cakes were dainty and yummy .The whole presentation was top notch. The room was very old style and very comfortable, the wing back chairs added to our comfort and experience, will definatly return and will recommend to any one who wants to be spoilt , Well done

This could easily be 4 star for us more like 3.5 at present. Located close to the sea just a walk up the hill and a bit. Hotel has a lovely garden area ( does need a bit of TLC and regular clean and tidy of tables though). Front entrance..bar..lounge..breakfast area and restaurant all very quirky and pleasant -not traditional so I really liked. Some of the areas around where the rooms are bit tatty..needing a refurb. Our room was fine bit small and basic modern wardrobe. Our friends room also small but the decor and furniture in theirs was more french and stylish. We ate in the restaurant one night didnt do the a la cart as nothing we fancied..ordered off the brasserie menu and was nice..Some staff more helpful welcoming and friendly than others. Big thanks to Sue who dealt with a little hiccup we had on the first night. Breakfast was good nicely presented wuth plenty on offer although my poached eggs were lukewarm every day and I wasnt keen on my avocado toast 🤷‍♀️ would definitely stay again and recommend..a bit pricey for what it is and not sure if some staff just inexperienced or possibly they are under staffed ? I think a sign should be put in the garden to advise people to get their cushions for the garden furniture..we all had to find them ourselves as they were rarely out.

There is a reasonable sized car park to the left of the building. Having gone at numerous times including peak times for Sunday lunches I have always got in to the car park.
