My sister and I stayed at Rushpool Hall for a three day long weekend. We normally stay in Saltburn itself but struggled to get accommodation at short notice. We knew about Rushpool Hall as a Wedding Venue but more recently they have opened their doors to B&B guests.
We arrived on a beautiful late summers day with the sun shining over the beautiful grounds and traditional Victorian building. Inside, the venue is very traditional and very welcoming with a large entrance hall and original fireplace. We were only two of a handful of guests at the time and the service offered by Craig, the Hotel Manager, was excellent, attentive without being stifling, and warm. Breakfast was very well catered for and served in a small Victorian orangery where we were able to take in the views of the estate overlooking the local woodlands and Saltburn beach in the distance. The bedroom we stayed in was a good size, newly decorated and had the same lovely views across the grounds. The bathroom was slightly out of date and could of done with a refurb (which is on the cards we were advised), however, it was very clean and ample size for our stay.
The only downside (not for us but maybe worth pointing out) is that, as the hotel has only recently opened to B&B guests, the bar and evening restaurant were not available. This is only short-term though I believe.
We have always stayed in Saltburn itself but will definitely be returning to Rushpool Hall on our next trip to the area. It's only a minute's drive from the town and its quiet and picturesque location really make up for that.
Thanks for a lovely stay!

Attended a family wedding.
I have been to Rushpool Hall a few times but this was the first time staying overnight.
I will deal with the only 2 negatives I had which were,
1. Our room was Freezing, not just cold, the cold air hit us as we entered. The heating wasn't on at all and being an old building the place definitely requires warmth.
My husband did a reccy around the room and realised the thermostat on the radiator wasn't even connected to the radiator. He connected the thermostat turned it to full and that warmed the room, but really, when you have paying guests I myself would expect the room to be a comfortable temperature to walk into.
2. We had a top floor Attic type room, the window that looked out over the rooftops whilst not being overlooked, let alot of light into the room as there were no curtains/blind to block out the light from outside.
Positives, everything else!
Seek out Ian, he is an absolute Gem of a man. I cannot praise this man enough, he went above and beyond for guests including ourselves through out the whole Wedding day/evening.
Whatever Ian is being paid it is not enough. Nothing was too much trouble, I do hope Rushpool Hall appreciate what they have in this guy, he exudes customer service at the highest level. Well done Ian, we appreciated all your help.
The rest of the staff were also very hard working, engaging and hospitable. I know first hand how hard hospitality can be especially working large events such as Weddings.
The gardens/land surrounding Rushpool Hall are second to none, a true romantic setting for a wedding.
All in all Rushpool Hall is a Beautiful Venue for any event, just a little attention to maintenance/housekeeping will make this 5*

Stayed at this hotel as we attended a wedding there recently. The hotel building itself is impressive and set in nice countryside, a short drive to the coast. As you enter the hotel it feels grand, with high ceilings and windows and a large staircase. All the staff members are very helpful, with a particular mention to Ian who worked on the bar and couldn't do enough to help.

We were a member of a larger party who stayed at the hotel and so got to see a number of the rooms, which vary in size. We were in a smaller one, but it was comfortable enough with everything you need for an overnight stay. Other rooms were much larger with duel aspect windows. However I would say that most of the rooms and the corridors could do with a bit of TLC, there were scuff marks on some of the walls, some wallpaper starting to peel, the shower could certainly do with upgrading.

Aside from food at the wedding we only had the breakfast, of which you had a choice of cooked breakfasts or fruits / cereals etc. All was served quickly and was to a good standard.

Despite my comments record some of the decor, we enjoyed our stay at Rushpool Hall and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

I am appalled by the customer service we received during our stay for my sisters wedding! We were allocated our room (which you can’t check in till after the wedding-ridiculous!). Afterwards we went to enjoy the sit down meal and speeches. After that my husband and my son went back to our room for our daughters teddy, on return to our room he found a dog (which was not ours!!!) we obviously followed this straight up with reception staff. My children are however allergic to dogs so I let them know of my children’s allergies and they swapped us rooms. HOWEVER, what if that dog was aggressive and went for our son? What if it destroyed our belongings in the room and most importantly, the safety aspect and violation of our own private space is disgusting!! Even more disgustingly on checkout when asking for a refund (which was refused!) was the staffs poor attitude towards the scenario and aiming the blame towards us, stating we must of left the door open!!! How rude. My sisters wedding was beautiful but our stay in their premises was sadly not! And I am left furious that I had to pay so much for such an experience!

We held our wedding at Rushpool on 22nd May and the venue itself is genuinely stunning, the cleanliness and service however was absolutely appalling, the food, even worse! We were so excited to host an Indian wedding at Rushpool hall but comparing the professionalism to that of other venues was light years behind.
If you just want a beautiful venue and don’t care about the service, the food, or the cleanliness then that’s fair enough but if your expecting a professional service I would contact Wynyard hall. You’d be surprised at what they offer, especially when it comes to catering to a budget! (Our photos are available to view on wh yards insta page…enough said…)

Location really good. We stayed overnight after an Evening Wedding Reception. Downstairs is fine but our bedroom was very disappointing. After climbing two flights of stairs we reached our room. Anyone with mobility issues would struggle as once in room you have to climb 7 or 8 steps to the sleeping area. There was no wardrobe and only two hangers. There were at least 30 dead flies on the window sill. Refreshments consisted of a plastic bag with coffee and tea (no biscuits) and paper cups with a wooden stirrer. There was a trickle of hot water from bathroom tap and odd taps. I would. not recommend and certainly would not return to this hotel on the quality of our room.

Dear Gavrelle Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts.... we do sincerely apologise that you were not entirely happy with our Wedding venue.... as you may have noticed during your visit we are undergoing an extensive refurbishment programme so we certainly know that we have a few elements to improve of I have to admit that I am not a fan of the presentation of the refreshments that we have had to to impose due to COVID, I personally cant wait for the day that our service standards can return to normal Due to the age and listed status of our quaint building we cannot be mobility friendly in our accommodation wing thankfully though our ground floor can cater for all our guests to enjoy the wonderful wedding service that we offer

The place and it’s grounds need a complete make over. The reception is in the middle of a corridor, not easy to find. Most of the grounds is completely overgrown. The windows in the rooms are not child safe, there was black mould on the bathroom mat. The table in the room was dirty and the refreshments tray looked like it was run sacked. The staff couldn’t look more fed up and disengaged. You almost had to beg for someone to take your order at breakfast and god forbid if you ask for allergens, they look at you like it was shocking for you to dare say such thing. Worse of all, they don’t care about their paying guests, if someone is loud and disturbs you in the middle of the night, nothing is done, there’s no security. And the decor is rather tired everywhere you look.

Absolutely not worth a single penny. Can you talk to the staff about it? No, there’s no receptionist at checkout. Awful. I’d love to have our money back

Beautiful setting for a wedding, however the service and food let the whole thing down.
Only one waitress seemed to know what she was doing, the rest looked like lost sheep. Need to have some training days. They are trying to make it a gourmet food establishment but falls a bit flat, the food was nice but not outstanding, the lamb was over cooked and some extra veg would not go amiss, 2 sping onions with the hairy bits still attached was the only veg on my chicken dish, they seemed to say everything is made on site however the desserts were most definitely frozen.
We had gluten free guests who didn’t get the dessert requested, nor told this was not happening got a random ice cream with burnt meringue over it as a baked Alaska but no sponge. The wine with dinner also didn’t get served until all the main meals had been served hence we had finished before we got our wine, should have been served between starter and main. Also on the evening buffet which they wanted to serve 2 hours after the wedding meal had nothing gluten free on it and all kitchen staff had left. 18 months notice and the couldn’t be bothered as they were not there to deal with it. Appalling service. The evening buffet was a lovely spread, although a bit of salad would have been nice. For the price certainly needs improvement. Overall the setting is lovely we had a great day celebrating, but having been in the catering industry for years myself they need to improve their service and especially food availability for people with dietary requirements. If it had been myself with the gluten allergy the meringue dessert they served without confirmation would have been unacceptable as I have a sugar intolerance and cannot eat meringue.

We got married at Rushpool Hall on 23rd June and everything was perfect. The staff were so warm and welcoming, which definitely helped the night-before nerves.
The hall itself was beautiful and sparkling clean, especially the recently refurbished getting ready room which is bright, airy and relaxing.
The grounds are kept in stunning condition by the estate manager so we had lots of choice for our photos.
All of the food was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who made sure our day went smoothly.
I would recommend Rushpool Hall to anyone looking for a wedding venue.
Extra special thanks to Gemma, Amanda, Courtney, Sam (and Meg Surfdog), Paul and the amazingly talented chef.

We had our wedding at Rushpool Hall on 1st September 2023 and wow did it deliver. The venue is simply stunning, set in picturesque grounds with a view of the sea, the interiors are so grand with a beautiful light ceremony room and incredible staircase.
The team at Rushpool were amazing during the run up and supporting our big day, we'd especially like to thank our wedding co-ordinator Katy who went above and beyond to ensure we had the day of our dreams. She was so organised and such an expert at her job, she made no question feel like a silly question and had so many great ideas and good advice.
Our friends and family all said how this was one of the best weddings they had been to, the food was delicious, we went for the Ham Hock potato cake, beef dinner and Creme Brûlée and there was a room full of empty plates! The DJ which Rushpool arranged for us was also excellent and such good value for money that they were included as most venues would charge extra for this. Overall the entire wedding was excellent value for the more for all of the drinks and food which we had on the day, we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so much Katy and team, I wish we could do it all over again!

Can't really answer your question, because we never needed these facilities for our group, but l do know that they have lodges next to the hotel, my only advice would be to contact the hotel personally,
