Unfortunately was attending my Grandads funeral and to stick to Covid restrictions did not stay in the family home 2 min away. The owner was very welcoming and extremely flexible allowing us to leave a little later so I could attend a zoom meeting at 11. The room was a very good size and bed comfortable. They were very kind allowing us to use the kitchen as no one else was staying and had stocked it up with breakfast essentials and a great choice of teas! Can see it would be a great and practical place to stay if walking the Roman wall and will happily recommend to friends and family needing to stay in the area. Thank you and hope everything picks up again soon!!!
We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the accommodation at the Reading Rooms, which has a very convenient, central location. It made a a great base for our stay in the area. The owner, Brian, was extremely helpful at all stages of our stay from enquiry to our departure; he was very welcoming and we appreciated his help & advice. Our room on the first floor was spacious and well equipped, comfortable beds, good storage for our clothes and possessions, well stocked tea & coffee tray, good bathroom. The communal breakfast room and kitchen were well-furnished and spacious, because of Covid-19 currently there's a continental breakfast which you put together yourself from the generous range of provisions laid on - it was just like being at home as you could suit yourself and so nice being able to pop to the kitchen if you needed something. Everywhere was kept spotlessly clean.…
Location perfect, less that 100 mts from train station. Great host, very involve with his community. Even with social distancing spared time for a good chat and give orientation. Has a good size very convenient dining room and kitchen with freezer that can be use by guests and offers various cereals, coffee, tees etc. Very nice and quite Two days stay. The place perfectly clean and nice supply of quality shampoo and artisan soap. I will be back.
We only stayed one short night, but we were warmly welcomed and the room was large and very clean. It was great to be able to use the kitchen facilities and If you want you can always cook yourself a cooked breakfast as the Cover restrictions limit breakfast to cereals and toast but our host Brian made great fresh coffee.. If we are ever back that way I would definitely stay there again. We felt very safe and that is worth a lot in these current times. Thanks again
We stayed at the reading rooms for 2 nights, we had room 1 on the ground floor, this is a very large room with 1 double bed and one single Brian our host is very friendly and knowledgeable about the town and the area and always had time for a chat. No cooked breakfast at the moment due to coved but plenty of cereals, toast, tea and coffee to help yourself to The town of Hayden Bridge is excellent, 3 or 4 pubs, at least 2 convenience stores, chip shop, butchers next to B and B who turns out excellent pies What’s not to like about the Reading Rooms Stay and have a great time
