Went for food last week took such a long time for the food to come in excess of 45 minutes. I had ordered the fish and chips however I felt it was more batter and chips as I could rarely find any fish within it. I suppose you get what you pay for
Stayed in a family room. Everything was clean and covid secure. Staff were extremely helpful. Our stay was for a 6 nights with a two kids, 9 and 5. The hotel seemed either brand new or recently renovated. However the mattresses were hard as nails and I ended up having to take painkillers to fall asleep. My advice is buy some toppers ASAP to make a good stay fantastic.
We arrived after a 4 hour drive and were given room 212. On entering the room it stank of sweat and very musty . The hotel is on an industrial estate, and our room over looked a steel works, so constant loud noise all night and traffic . The room was disgusting and over priced at £90 for the facilities offered . The bathroom was so filthy u, and I mean disgusting, and considering they have allegedly upped their cleaning due to covid, I cleaned it myself with anti bac cloths. I bagged up the filthy cloths full of hair , dirt and muck and took it to reception. This wasn't just dirt from the last room user , but months of soap scum , dust, pubic hair and filth. The chap on reception was fantastic and dealt with the problem very politely and efficiently. The beds stank , the pillows stank and the bed was covered in long dark hairs under the covers. This is not a £90 room , more like a hostel . Don't be fooled by the reviews , if it wasn't for the excellent chap on reception we would have walked out and slept in the car. The shower didn't work, the bedroom curtains are plastic, there was no tea or coffee in the rooms , no toilet roll or loo brush. The bedding and pillows stank of sweat and aftershave Awful , dirty, noisy and overpriced.…
Small and friendly new modern hotel with family rooms for those with pre teenage children If you are a Rugby fan then you could not be closer to the Parc y Scarlets which is a 2 minute walk. Also close to many coastal attractions on the river Loughor estuary. Good restaurant in adjacent building. Close to large out of town shopping complex.
This is the second occasion that I have reviewed this location. Both times have been for work reasons. The manager, (Sam) and her crew are cheerful and professional in all aspects of their work. They are all approachable and nothing is too much for them to make your stay a pleasant one. The food is good and reasonably priced. (My favourites being the steak and the carvery.) The rooms are clean and beds comfortable and again the house service teams are polite and friendly. I intend coming to the area next year for leisure and will definitely be staying here.
