We had a fantastic family holiday at Pierhouse No2 - the setting is brilliant and the location is just perfect. Staff were really very nice, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the swimming pool and importantly the accommodation was of a very high standard clean comfortable and well equipped.
Excellent base for exploring the area. +Spotlessly clean +comfortable +every kitchen utensil imaginable +genuinely dog friendly The only negative we had was the on site bar and restaurant is closed Sunday evenings and all day Monday and Tuesday leaving no where in walking distance for a quality meal or drink
Highly recommend a holiday at Melfort Village Resort. The setting is stunningly scenic and the accommodation is top class. Staff are helpful and work hard to deliver a great experience, irrespective of the precautions we must all take to protect our health. Especially enjoyed the log burner fire in lounge. Ideal for the colder nights.
What a fantastic gettaway for Christmas!! First time visitor and would love to visit again!! Stayed with puppy , two adults and two children. Stayed in walled gardens. Cottage was immaculate and way above anything i had expected. They had gone the extra mile for the Christmas season, and we were delighted to see a Christmas tree set up with lights and even a couple of presents wrapped up for the kids left under the tree! The kitchen was fully furnished with even a roasting tray for the turkey. There is a pool onsite along with a small gym. There is a games room on site at the Walled gardens with an X-box, pool table and TV. Perhaps and advisable to bring your own games for the X-box as not any on site. Another Games room nearer reception and another room for younger babies and toddlers. Beautiful walks and location. Location is quite remote, so definitely worth bringing a car. Staff at reception were so lovely and welcoming and helpful. Loved the stay here and would definitely want to visit again!!…
We stayed in Blacksmith Cottage and were very happy with the amenities and peaceful atmosphere. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Covid precautions were very good and the staff were most helpful. Thoroughly recommended.
We throughly enjoyed our stay in the walled garden of the village. The rooms were spacious, all the amenities you need and it was so lovely and quiet. The cottages are nestled in the hills and the backdrop is like a picture. The cottage has a wood burning stove which was so cosy, we enjoyed evenings using it. The lady in reception was very helpful and advised on any questions we had. We used the pool and games room which was a nice touch and the village is a close drive to oban for the shops. We also had a walk around the village which is very pretty. If travelling from England, stop at Loch Lomond on the way!! So many things to see. We recommend melfort if you are looking for a pretty cottage in the highlands and are looking for either long walks, or just to chill by the fire!
Stayed at Melfort Village for one weeks holiday with family, accommodation was No 11 in the walled garden with views of the hills and Loch. Chalet was very clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. We dined several nights at the restaurant on site “Room at the Top” which was also excellent. The whole site was very clean and not overcrowded with the staff all very helpful.
Stayed for a week with our 9&11 year old sons. Plenty for them to do while we relaxed with a book and we knew they were safe. They loved the pool, tennis, excellently equipped games room, swing ball, putting. There were also various activities put on everyday, but no pressure to join in, just come along if you want. In Covid times we managed to get extra swims too. Delightful pool, clean and well maintained. We are at the restaurant one night (sadly it’s only open a few nights) food was delicious and easy to book. Our only gripe was the tap water situation which I guess was out-with Melfort villages control… Beautiful, relaxing, situation and comfy place to stay at the walled garden. Would love to return.
Melfort Village is our go-to place for a relaxing break in comfortable, well-appointed accommodation and beautiful surroundings. The staff are always welcoming and attentive and it's great to have the on-site restaurant. Having owned a couple of weeks for some years now, we have our regular places to visit - Lochgilphead for coffee at The Smiddy, Tayvalich for views of the lovely bay, Arduaine Gardens for the glorious rhododendron displays in May and, of course, Oban for groceries and window-shopping. We just love it.
This has to be the ideal location for a self-catering holiday. measures are 1st Class. Theres also swimming pool, games room, tv & wifi in all of the accommodation. The layout and views are spectacular and it's within easy reach of Oban and some of Scotland's beautiful islands. An onsite restaurant with take aways on offer completes a superb holiday experience.
