Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Heart of the Highlands A beautifully appointed guest house with wonderfully warm hosts who go to any length to ensure your comfort and enjoy the moment. We were stone’s throw from Glencoe, Fort William Loch Awe and Kilchurn castle to name just a few. Just of the main route tucked away in a quiet and peaceful location, time stood still, and we felt no pressure to rush of anywhere else. Secluded peaceful and close to all the highland magic that is Scotland at its finest. This is our second visit to Craige Villa Guest House. It will not be our last. Thank you for your hospitality – You made us feel like family 😊

I loved staying here and would definitely return again. The hosts are absolutely phenomenal and the rooms, house and decor is adorable. Tastefully done without being too jazzy. I stayed in the room with a full tub, it was very clean, and well maintained. The hosts made sure I understood how to use the shower head which I presume might have caused challenges for other guests since there was a how to on the. It was super easy though! The weather at this time of year can be hit or miss - I had some good and some bad days. Of course the weather isn’t in under the control of the hosts so it has absolutely no merit on the review, but when the rain and wind came down, I snuggled up to watch some in room Netflix or headed to the common room to sit by the fire- super cozy. Definitely a plus for the booking. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. The village was so quaint and I got to explore some impressive hiking spots. There is a nice little pub down the road- a short drive from the house. A really nice British man helped correct my pronunciation of it a couple times. The Bencrackeon I think? The hosts also highly recommend it as well. It has great food and a beautiful drive up. Overall, a great experience.

What a wonderful night. We were well looked after and accommodated by Taryn and Ewan. Beautiful house; comfortable and cool. Great showers. Wonderful breakfast. And all in a beautiful location with a river swim just a walk away. Once the kids were asleep we enjoyed a relaxed time in the lounge with Jazz records playing and a choice of games!

What a delight. We stayed in Ethel’s Coorie Doon and it was perfect. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Taryn and found treats for our dogs and a lovely bottle of Prosecco for us humans in our shepherds hut. It was warm, cosy and well equipped. We really loved the little extra touches we found throughout our stay, including hot chocolate, hot water bottles and a folder full of information to help us during our stay. We were really lucky and had sunshine and clear skies. We loved sitting out on the wooden chairs at night to watch the stars. We enjoyed the community garden close by and found the recommended emerald pool which was stunning. I even braved the water! We spent a great day in Oban, eating fresh fish (wow) and went on a superb boat trip during the afternoon. Exquisite scenery took our breath away and new memories to take away with us. Thank you so much for taking care of us. We will be back. Sally & Janine

Craig's Villa is tucked away in a quaint little village and is surrounded by spectacular views and a community of amazing people. Beautiful views of Munros and highlands surround the villa. It's the real way to discover Scotland. There are lots of nearby viewpoints, old castles, highland coos (hairy cows), restaurants, and golf (Dalmally Golf Club). The train station is nearby as well if you're planning on making a trip to other major cities, tickets can be easily purchased via the mobile site. Taryn and Ewan are loving and caring hosts that looked after us like their own making sure we had fresh linens and towels. The food was phenomenal and Craig's Villa is filled with tons of charm and love. We spent lots of our downtime hanging out in the cozy heated lounge listening to records that gave us that authentic Scottish feel with its decor. The hot tub and whiskey barrel cold plunge were the icing on the cake. Don't let Ewan per-pressure you into a barrel or jump into a cold loch! It was our first time in Scotland and would 11/10 recommend this as a place to stay during your visit for families, single travelers, or couples! Cheers, Taryn and Ewan for making our trip a core memory! - The Duong-Noble Family

Spent a great weekend at Craig villa guest house with 8 friends. Bedrooms were very comfortable & beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. The hosts were very welcoming & nothing was too much trouble for them. Generous size lounge which was very comfortable with lovely views from all windows. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
