The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Our lodge was clean, warm and comfy. The surroundings are perfect for a relaxing time with beautiful country views and plenty of space for kids to explore. We felt a million miles from the hurley burley of town. Our two dogs were made very welcome and loved it. The only improvements that we could... More

Stayed in Otter Cottage with our 2 dogs. Very clean and cosy cottage with lovely views over the ponds where we could watch the wildlife. Owners very welcoming. Lovely walks from the door. Had a peaceful, relaxing stay.

Thanks for your review - we're so glad you had a relaxing stay with the dogs. We're hoping those views over the pond will be even better next year as the plan is to add a glass door on the south side of the kitchen. Best wishes, and we hope we can welcome you here again some time soon. Maggie More

stayed in the 2 bed lodge. Very comfortable, clean and lovely, also there's enough room and trees in between lodges for privacy and peace. It's a peaceful lovely place but if you want to get out and about there's use of the farm bikes -we cycled with our 11yr old to Winkleigh, locked them to a tree and caught the... More

Brilliant to read your review - thanks for your feedback - especially for the bit on the what you expected us to be! We're glad we didn't come across as hippy eco warriors - that's not what most people want to encounter on holiday. Rather, it's about you having a lovely relaxing break and us helping you do that with... More

Cosy weekend at Wheatland Farm. Only a small number of lodges and not fully occupied which contributed to the quiet peaceful surroundings. All well screened from each other too by big bushes. Bedroom small and not overly attractive at first glance but the double bed (just about shoe horned in) was surprisingly comfortable. Slept very well! Trying very hard to... More

We can not praise Wheatland farm enough. We have just returned from a wonderful week away. The farm, ponds, meadow, steams, woodland and wildlife are wonderful.
