We stayed here last weekend as we were attending a wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn and it turned out to be a great B and B. Very convenient for the wedding venue ( just a few minutes walk away) and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early to allow us to change which was...

Dropped in for lunch and a pint. It's a halfway house for me and an old pal to catch up. The food is consistently good as is the friendly welcome from Carol and staff. As far as gastro pubs are concerned this is about as good as it gets. Well done for maintaining those high values!

Stayed overnight here on journey from Guildford to Preston. Lovely welcome at this warm and homely pub with separate accommodation. No added frills but everything you want/need, done really well and would be good for longer stays too. Stayed in the room allocated for dog owners, with my 2 border collies. Being a cold day it was lovely to walk...

Went for dinner this evening (Saturday) Took my elderly mother for a treat. I really can't fault the place! We walked in to a warm welcoming atmosphere, we were served promptly and politely by the bar staff and sat by the roaring log fire. We each ordered different meals, all were available, all arrived together after no time at all....

My wife and I stayed at The Waggon & Horses for two nights for my friend's wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn. The location for the wedding was spot on, being all of a third of a mile away!! The room we stayed in was basic but spotlessly clean and perfect for our needs. The service of the staff was exceptional....

I would imagine the main reason people stay here is they are going to a wedding at sandhole oak barn which is only a 10 minute walk away. I couldn't speak more highly of the staff who were welcoming, the rooms are basic but clean and do the job they were designed for. The highlight of the trip however was...

Booked on the day for a business trip to Manchester; arrived 6ish, pleasant check in via the bar; nice twin room, recently refurbished. Ate in the bar, good food, ale, log fire, good breakfast. The only issue is the rooms are in an annexe, and all the walls are plasterboard, and the bathrooms use a Saniflo or similar, so you...

We stayed one night here and it was warm and comfortable. The bed was great and lovely homemade sausages for breakfast. A warm welcome and a good budget option. For us at least, preferable to the anonymous travelodge.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Delight in the beautiful Cheshire countryside at our welcoming inn. Look no further than the Waggon & Horses for a delightful pub and bed and breakfast in Cheshire. In the tiny village of Eaton lies the picture-postcard Waggon and Horses public house, ready to refresh the weary traveler with good food and ale. Be amazed at what our fine English pub has to offer. From fine cask ales, to locally sourced produce we have just what you need. We take great pride in our delicious food and at least 90% of what we serve in our restaurant is entirely home-made. It's tempting to get stuck at our warm and cosy bar with a real log fire on cold days complemented by the warm welcome of a family-run pub, but if you look that little bit further you'll see our beautiful caravan park situated at the heart of the idyllic Cheshire countryside. Not only that, we also offer clay pigeon shooting. Ideal for any day out, it is a great way to spend the day. For the summer there is a large garden overlooking open countryside, with a children's play area to allow parents to enjoy the good weather in peace! There is also ample car parking, and the front entrance is equipped with a ramp to allow wheelchair access. The restaurant serves all homemade freshly prepared food from an extensive menu, and on Sundays and Bank hoildays traditional roasts. The excellent food is accompanied by a wine list featuring both European and New World wines. We also have our own Clay Pigeon Shooting ground ,the only pub in Cheshire to do so You always get a warm welcome at the Waggon & Horses. Come and visit us and discover a home away from home.
