Malton and the Old Lodge is a long drive from other parts of the country, but it was very handy for my business trip. The Old Lodge itself is a wonderful historic building, well maintained and extremely comfortable and well furnished. I arrived in the evening after a long drive, so I missed exploring the property and surroundings (which would...

Just had a weekend in room 2 of this very interesting old building. Modern conveniences but within an ancient building. Room very spacious and furnished in keeping with the age/design of the bullding, large, warm, modern bathroom. The staff are excellent and a great credit to the business. Food was good.

We stayed for one night, and the staff were super friendly. Food was really really good (the chef is new, within the last month). I had the venison, which was amazing! The room was lovely, light, clean and with great views

This place is okay, but not great. Staff very friendly, room clean, although a little dated. Bit disappointed that at 8.50pm the kitchen had stopped serving food and room service option was only a sandwich. After 6 hours in the car to get there, we had to go out and find food. Breakfast choice not that impressive.

Wonderful experience in this beautiful building with great surroundings. We had a lovely suite where our little Yorkie was welcome too. The staff were very welcoming & kind to the kids and our dog. A great weekend break and partying. Will definitely be back . Thankyou for the great experience. Nicola & Matt( London)

This is an old building with character, but well maintained. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are beautiful. Mine had one of the biggest baths I've ever seen in a hotel room. Breakfast is good - cooked to order, not buffet. The bar is also well stocked.

We just had afternoon tea for the first time at The Old Lodge, the staff were most friendly and helpful, the tea was outstanding and very good value, with great presentation, would definitely recommend a visit and will be going back ourselves

We stayed here for the night of 11th Feb . We booked a superior room and were not disappointed . The room was huge with an equally large four poster bed . It looked out onto the garden and was stood alone at the end of the building so extremely peaceful . We ate lunch and dinner at the hotel...

My wife and I spent our 20th anniversary this past weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Warm welcome, seriously delicious evening meal - the prawn with ginger and the risotto starter was great, the lamb shank even better. Stayed in room 7, one of two honeymoon suites which was really nice. The bathroom is bigger than most people's front rooms!...

Stayed a few days while on business. Beautiful quiet location, all the staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy, nice bar area with a great selection of drinks available. Breakfast and food was very good too. Good quality wifi available as well which was important for a business stay. I'd definitely stay there again for business...
