The reviews already written are an absolute true account of this 10 out of 10 little gem of a place. It's in a beautiful setting with breathtaking views. The domes are so well appointed with everything you could possibly need - however high maintenance you think you might be they've already got it covered! Every detail has been well thought out and many of the luxuries are those that you would normally only expect in 5* hotels. This is definitely 5* glamping! If you order a breakfast platter - it is not an ordinary breakfast platter - the croissants are delivered warm, as are the boiled eggs courtesy of the on site chickens, the fresh fruit was delicious and the granola too...and the bread...and the yoghurt etc, etc. There is so much gorgeousness to enjoy here and the owners and staff are so very friendly and kind above and beyond your wildest expectations. We have only just discovered this wonderful gem and thought we were being a tiny bit crazy to book a 2 night stay here when we actually only live approximately 6 miles away!! However, we felt a million miles from home and having now experienced such a relaxing and peaceful place we shall in all probability act with the same amount of craziness in the future and treat ourselves again! Many thanks to all members of The Private Hill Team x

Property's Favourite Review
What an utterly fantastic place. Everyone should visit Jane and Roddy at the Private Hill, they are the most considerate, selfless people I have ever met - as were all the staff on site. As soon as we said we liked anything someone was there to make it happen. You can chill out, find out about all the conservation work, look out for the curlews, or have a beer in Jane's Dome. Best bits for us - walking the Alpacas and looking round the farm at all the animals. If you get time have a chat to Roddy, he is such an interesting man. Now on to the food - absolutely delicious is an understatement. From the platters to the steaks to breakfasts - all were exceptional We wish we had stayed longer but had only booked 2 days. As soon as we got home we rebooked. If you enjoy being spoiled you must go. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Thank you Jane, Roddy, Becky, Emily, Ed and Charlie

What an amazing 2 nights at The Private Hill. The domes have everything you could ask for and really are very Private. The views are tremendous and we would highly recommend having a BBQ/fire on your domes terrace with a cold beer/wine whilst enjoying them. Roddy, Jane and the team made us feel extra special throughout our stay. Roddy showed us and our two children around the farm with such enthusiasm, involving the kids in all the tasks that needed doing. Will definitely be booking again very soon. Thanks, Graham, Leanne, Darcey and Hector

Just back from our first ever experience of luxury boutique glamping...and what an experience! Stayed at “Debussy” on The Private Hill” and found the whole experience way beyond our expectations. The setting was the ultimate in luxury, the view was breathtaking and the staff magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble. Jane and Roddy went out of their way to make us feel welcome from first arrival until our final departure. We felt really at home from the excellent breakfast platter to the luxury of a roaring log fire as the evening drew to a close. We will definitely be returning at our first opportunity. Thanks Roddy, Jane and the whole team for a wonderful experience. You are “Simply the Best”! John & Linda Middleton.

What an absolute gem of a find. This place is hands down the best place I have ever stayed in. Everything from the staff, location to the pods themselves it is just so perfect. On our arrival the staff were amazing, so pleasant and made us feel right at home. Explained everything perfectly. Now for the best bit, the pods themselves...WOW, we were given the end pod, which was perfect as it had the best views and the best sunset I have ever seen. We even slept with curtains open, (it’s that private!), just so we could wake up looking at the view. I will be telling my family and friends (and anyone else that will listen) all about this fantastic place. Thank you Jane, Roddy and the girls for making our staycation perfect.
