Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room, except the smoke smell, is satisfactory for the money. Unfortunately, the bathroom is horrible, there is mold everywhere. We have stayed in Paprika Hotel for many years, more than 15 times, but probably this was our last visit...

Always use to look forward every time I was driving by this place, just to stop and have a great food and confi sleep. Is not the same as was few years ago. Dinner was just fine but breakfast quality of products were very poor serving probably the cheapest products. I will still stop to sleep but not for evening meals anymore.

Nightmare place! Avoid at all costs. I caught one of the receptionists in our room stealing money from the wallet (300 euros) that we left in the purse on the bed. We left at the restaurant to eat and only took with us 100 euro to pay for the lunch. I forgot something in the room and when i returned to pick it up i found one employee in the room, looking in my wife's purse. When confronted he denied everything (although i was behind him and saw everything) but his face turned red and he was so sweaty. He was so scared that little maggot. Luckily his boss at the reception he managed to cover everything up for him. He did everything he could to not call the police. When we asked him to call the police, he said he did but 3 hours later still no police came. So what can i say, a bad place ran by thieves. Avoid at all costs but if you really wanna stay in this terrible place, better watch your bags at all time. Also watch out for one chubby fat blond-ish maggot employee of Paprika. He goes in people's rooms and steals money.

Response from Szüts A, General Manager at Paprika M1 Hotel
Responded 15 Jan 2020
Dear Sir, We want to make sure that this incident really happened to our hotel and clear out the situation. However, the description of the colleague does not allow us to identify the perpetrator. Blondish, strong-body male receptionist does not work at our hotel. So please send me immediately what time you stayed in our hotel, under what name and in which room to the office@m1hotel.hu e-mail address. Otherwise, what you have described extends the term "defamation" and we find it profoundly outrageous. Thank you

+ The hotel has a safe parking area. The rooms are big, clean and the beds are quite comfortable. The personnel at the reception desk are kind and helpful - Anywhere throughout the hotel there is smelly food odor. Sanitary facilities in bathrooms are old and need repairs. The most unpleasant moment was the breakfast. Instead of a very well reputation of Paprika Restaurant, the food and coffee for breakfast is cheap. Since the coffee is bad, I decided to buy 2 espresso coffee. To do this, I needed 10 minutes. I met the most bored waiter ever. Maybe, was to early for her... Also, I couldn't pay by card.

The hotel is close to the border, so a convenient place for those who travel in the Hungary - Ausria dimension. Room, parking are ok. Food for dinner is excellent in spite of the fact that there very zillion guests, serving was fast. No question, five star service. On the contrary to the evening experience the morning breakfast is a huge disappointment. Unhealthy, boring, outdated style food....one stat.

The hotel is just around the M1 Exit in Hegyeshalom. Stayed before in February, and the opinion is the same. The only thing is that they do not have any minibar or eat/drink facilities so you have to buy in advance.

We like this hotel every year we stop there in our journey never had to reserve in advance but this year we didn't find any room available at the first stop ok, after 2 weeks we came back in our way we try to call and reserve via internet and didn't work, we give there after 14h of driving super tiered a lot of people was waiting 2off them paying and some more waiting, I made a question to the lady if they have rooms and she said yes we do have a lot don't you see all this people here?in 20 min I have time for you...this young lady very arrogant and eating gum was staring at me very angry because of my question she make me wait enough to lose my nice face because she made a call speaking in her language and laughing at the phone then she told me the only room it's at the motel not in the hotel , I tried to explain that I call I tried via internet to reserve and she was continuing saying that only motel motel , I left to talk with my husband, a lot of people get rooms without reserve because we ask around then when I came back and I said yes she was even more arrogant with me and making the check in for hotel to some other clients , I the end we didn't stay there and that's to bad because we like that hotel a lot but I have one advice for her "find yourself another job you lady, you don't belong there!!!" we never had those situations before with any other staff from there . That happen Saturday 20.07.19 around 20h with a blond young lady at the hotel reception! I also have a similar job and just to let you know its normal to speak as many languages as you need that's why you are hiered behind the hotel desk you lady and if you don't like working with public just close yourself somewhere not acting like a baby girl with people that pays your salary!!!! I will return in the hotel because everything it's perfect very comfortable nice food at the restaurant but hope I don't need to see those kind of people after a long road. Thank you

Nice comfy hotel very close to the Parndorf Outlet Center. Stayed here during our ski trip to Austria, it is a great hotel for a short stay. The room was clean, basic needs were covered. It does not have a minibar in the room, so if you need to grab a drink, you have to arrive early before the market (located 100 m away) closes. There is a restaurant open until 11 pm. The breakfast was ok-ish. Would stay again there !
