Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Hotel refused to provide accommodation. we forgot Our passports at the hotel in Milan holiday inn. The Milan hotel manager called Ducale and confirmed that the passport are in their possession and they can courier it to the hotel within 24 hours. But we were refused accommodation. The holiday inn hotel manager called another hotel in Central Venice to let us stay and sent them colored copy of our passports. AND arranged to send our passport to our next destination in Florence. We go our passports in Florence to continue our journey. Ducale NEVER provided the customer service holiday inn did and we never stayed there. They actually made quite a few bucks off us and the other hotel managers apologized for Hotel Ducale's "stupidity in customer service"

This hotel is advertised as 3 stars, but comes nowhere near to meeting the minimum requirements for 3 stars - It may have been a long time ago but it is definitely not anymore. Staff are not Italian, but from Bangladesh. Communication was an issue - there was only one staff member that worked in the afternoon that could understand English. If you ask them to order you a taxi, they get one of their "friends" to transport you (which costs more than a normal taxi). The rooms are very small and tired. The bathroom floors are very slippery - my mother fell and hurt herself. Check-in was only available from 3 pm. We arrived on an 11 am flight and were made to wait till 3 pm. There is nowhere to leave luggage securely until check-in. After waiting till 3.30, the cleaner was still busy in the room when we went upstairs to settle in. There is no dining facility (the dining room is closed up). The air-conditioning only operates in the cooler hours of the day - not active between 1 am and 6 am and also between 9 am and 4 pm, which are the hottest parts when needed most and turns off if you open a window and you have to call reception to reset it. It turns off when you leave the room and remove the key. Lots of mosquitoes. We had two different rooms during our stay and both had issues with non-working lights and power points, no bar fridge, and only 1 skinny pillow (more were supplied after multiple requests). There is a lift, but only large enough for one person and a small suitcase. the two of us had to take turns in the lift with our suitcases. There is nowhere in the bathroom to put clothes, toiletries, etc (only one small towel rail and hook) - nowhere in the shower for soaps, etc. Rooms are only serviced (cleaned and re-stocked) every second day. It is convenient to public transport, however, there are very limited and mostly poor eating options in the area. The beds were comfy enough. Only Italian channels were available on the TV in the room.

Where to start offered twin room the size of a shoebox. When we complained we were given a slightly bigger room with a king sized bed. Air con hairdryer all good. no coffee and tea making facilities no breakfast as they had closed the restaurant. Bar next door rude staff. No room service at all. Shower size of a small matchbox. Ants in the room. Location is dire there is nothing around, no restaurants close by. The closest tram/bus stop is only a minute walk away but takes half an hour to get into Venice. Id stay somewhere else

I was quite shocked when i arrived at the palace as the picture of the hotel rooms shown in website was very old but they have renovated the hotel recently. I liked their cleanness and hospitality. Management of the hotel was super and frankly.

Do not waste your time at this Hotel. The owner is a lier and a thief. Left my family out in the cold night to sleep in the car and then charged my credit card €70 for the room they refused us. Owner told trip advisor we did not show up for our reservation. While we were sleeping in the parking lot or car. This was after several emails comfirming reservations and time of arrival.

Booked a hotel for a group of children on vacation. I made a prepayment of 600 euros. In connection with the coronavirus, she was forced to abandon the tour. Withdrew the reservation in more than 30 days. Money is not returned. The hotel seems to live by deceiving tourists by stealing money from them. At the reception, manager Naim refuses to have a dialogue on returns and hangs up. It’s not possible to talk with the director. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL NEVER IF YOU ARE ROAD YOUR MONEY

The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful, the bus routes are right outside of her hotel which is great, it is dated but it’s clean the shower is very small but fine. Our room was above the pub so it was noisy both the nights we stayed.

We looked for a place for the night before our flight out of venice. We reserved a twin room. When we arrived we were told that we received a double room instead. We asked to change the room. The reception didn't agree abd blamed it on the booking agency. I understand that sometimes reservation mistakes may happen, however they didn't make any effort of fixing the situation. Instead they were rude to us. They mentioned that it happens all the time, and that they don't care if we give them a bad review. I recommend to avoid this establishment
