Lago Verde was once a simple healthy farmland which has now been transformed into a comfortable lodging. Surrounded by green pasture and beautiful countryside, this recently constructed place makes use of local stone, wood, old style ceramics, and wrought iron to hark back to the old times.

We (3 kids and my wife and I) only stayed here for 1 night and very much enjoyed it. We debating whether we give it 5 or 4 stars and a few tho G’s swing it to 5 stars. The food. OMG it is unbelievable. We got dinner and breakfast. Off the charts amazing and so much of it we could barely walk out of there. Pool, it’s fine, quite salty to keep it clean but was nice to mess around in it with the kids. The dogs, my kids loved the dogs, all super friendly and cute. Less 5 star things? We had 1 of the rooms in the “Casa” and no one knew the wifi password.. not a big deal, the room was fantastic but the mattress was not good… the other room was totally fine. Small details but overall we had a brilliant stay here and the kids loved it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful :-)

This place is probably one of the better lodging in an area without too much choice. It is not immediately visible from the road and a gate must be opened to give you access. We were there at the end of the season and it was very quiet, the pool needed a cleaning and things looked a bit tired. However, the owners were kind and immediately had the pool cleared. There is a nice view from the pool deck. Only Italian was spoken and only a few things from the menu available. But what was there was very tasty and generously and rapidly served. Recommend the local antipasti and both veal and vegetable carpaccio. The breakfast was served and both sumptuous and tasty. Rooms are rather small, Dark and kind of baroque style but Everything works and is in good order. Had it not been for the food and friendly Italian speaking hosts I would probably have rated the place average but stomach tells me Good.

My 1st visit was in 2014 and ever since i try to visit this agriturismo once or twice a year. Al Lago Verde lies in the heart of Sicilia, surrounded by the villages Alia, Roccapalumba, Valledolmo, Vallelunga and Cammarata. Palermo and Cefalù are also easy to reach. The view is breathtaking and the silence drops like a blanket upon you. At night you can almost touch the stars. Al Lago Verde has a beautiful garden with a pond right in the middle. This garden is heaven for so many insects especially for the bees😉! The rooms are spacious and fresh. The family, Lino, Giusy and their son Vincenzo, tohether with their staff will make your stay as comfortable as possible. Lino and Vincenzo rule the kitchen and Giusy rules the restaurant. The food is exquisite and their wine collection amazing. They serve (and sell) (almost) wines from all over the Island, made from native grape varieties but also international grape varieties. If i can make a suggestion, try a Perricone, a Nero d'Avola, Frappato (red) or a Catarratto, Grillo, Inzolia (white) as a monovarietal or as a blend. The family grow their own vegetables, herbs and olives. Besides that there are many fruit trees (lime, cherries, tangerine). They make their own olive oil and... limoncello😃! In Spring and Summer they organize BBQ's and sometime music and dance. If there is anything you wish to do like cooking class, excursions (sheepfarm, cheese factory, la grotta della Gulfa) you name it, Vincenzo together with his friend Giovanni, will show you all the treasures the island and her people have to offer. Step out of your comfort zone and try something different than you already know! You will be amazed😉!

My family enjoyed our stay at Al Lago Verde. The property is located outside of the main part of Alia in a beautiful country setting. The rooms are comfortable and it is quiet at night. Chef Lino and staff prepared a traditional Sicilian meal for us and the following morning provided a delicious continental breakfast. Even though the staff spoke little English, they were very friendly and helpful in answering our questions. We will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to return to Sicily.

This is THE place if you want to relax, eat terrific food and be looked after by the best hosts we have ever encountered! We arrived on a very hot afternoon to be greeted by Vincenzo and Josefina who had a restaurant full of Italians having a party. Vincenzo soon had us seated with a cold glass full of amber nectar and brought out the most delicious anti-pasta we have ever eaten (we visit Italy every year). I can only echo previous reviews and cannot speak too highly about this family run hotel and their staff; it was like staying with friends. There was even cold water, both still and sparkling on tap and we were constantly provided with jugs of water by the staff at no charge. One word of caution. There are some dogs and cats on the property which our friends and us loved, especially Pedro the Italian mastiff and his puppy. If you don't like animals especially huge dogs then this isn't the place for you, but the staff would ensure that the dogs were kept away from you if there was a problem. i cannot recommend this place highly enough.

This is an amazing place for quiet relaxation and fantastic food. There are no facilities for children and no pool. It is also an hour from the coast, good for a quiet getaway, bad for lots of visits. But the surroundings are idillic, the staff wonderfully helpful and the food to die for. It is a family run affair. The chef, Lino, is out of this world. Traditional Sicilian cooking from all local produce with massive portions. Seriously, only order for one if you are 2 and share! Prices also very reasonable. People often rave about food and I am suspicious, but among many really excellent restaurants in Sicily, this place stood. The room is fine, the terrace outside lovely for coffee in the evenings. Simply a gorgeous place. One tip: when you get to Alia, look for a sign to Villa Dafne, not Lago Verde. Sicilian do not seem good on signs...

Mama Mia...Al Lago verde. I booked a weekend together with my wife to stay at this unforgettable experience. Our host Vincenzo was super friendly and gave an excellent outlook on what was ready for us. Our room was spacious and clean. The food.....to die for! Expertly and freshly prepared by The Papa Chef as I call him. I felt like I was in Paradiso! The place is a dream! Go for it!
