We stayed in the chocolate and champagne suite and our stay was perfect from start to finish. Underfloor heating made our stay cosy. All the little added touches were amazing, snacks, chocolates and our favourite the fondue set! The in room double bath is outstanding! The hot tub is a small few steps from the room and Completely private with the most amazing views! We cannot wait to return for another night of luxury! Thanks so much for the hospitality! Stephanie and John

Thank you so much for writing such a lovely review and it's great to hear how much you enjoyed the courtyard Chocolate and Champagne themed suite. The outdoor hot tub is perfectly located for looking out across the fields and the Ayrshire valley beyond. Glad you loved all the little extras in the suite as well. Thank you once again, your review is greatly appreciated, best wishes, Elaine

Well we were recommended to visit here by a friend who has been a couple of times and I tell you we weren’t disappointed.. 1st the location is really nice and we have to remember it’s an actual working farm which I think adds some personality rather than being in a purpose built cabin / camping park ! we were greeted by the lovely Elaine and the home made scones were mmmmm, we had a greeting basket of goodies and the fridge had milk and juice… unfortunately we had a storm the 2 days we were there and only managed about 2 hours in the hot tub ( disappointed ). The cooked breakfast in the mornings was amazing and plentiful !!!!! Will we go back again YOU bet your bottom dollar we will, we were there for a relaxing couple of days to get away from all the hustle and bustle and Lochwood certainly helped with this..We were in the Log cabin, never mind reading this review, book a break here and experience it for yourselves. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review and this is very much appreciated. I'm delighted to hear that you loved the location with our magnificent views over the countryside and sea and yet not too far away from local restaurants and amenities. Glad that you also enjoyed the scones and breakfast. The weather is unpredictable and to get two storms back to back is extremely unusual and I'm so sorry that this wasn't better for you. It's great to hear that you will return though and I look forward to meeting you both again. Thank you once again and best wishes, Elaine

My partner and I had an over night stay in the Chocolate and Champagne themed suite. What a fantastic night! The suite is beautiful, very homely, comfortable, calm and relaxing. We were greeted by Elaine who was lovely and couldn't do enough for us, we were offered warm scones, butter and jam on arrival, the suit was equipped with a fridge, Elaine had put yoghurts, orange juice and milk in the fridge for us it also had a freezer compartment, the suite also had a kettle, toaster, a selection of cereal, muffins, bread, tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate drinks, chocolates, biscuits etc. There is a massive bath for two, a big walk in power shower. The suite is equipped with everything you need (iron, towels, bath robes, hair dryer etc) There was also a chocolate fondue set, with chocolate, marshmallows and Scottish tablet, I thought this was a lovely touch. The hot tub is just amazing, with fantastic views.. we spent hours in it… Loved it. So relaxing. Elaine goes above and beyond and thinks of everything before you arrive. There was nothing she hadn’t thought of/provided. So we had no reason request anything else. The full Scottish breakfast in the morning was outstanding, delivered to our suite bang on time, it was delicious. It is a working farm, we enjoyed seeing the animals, the horses walking by the suite, it was very nice. Would highly recommend this to couples, such a lovely place. It is only 5 minutes away from our home, however we felt like we were a million miles away. We will defiantly be booking again, we fancy coming in the winter next time, so we can use the fire.. and enjoy the hot tub on the winter night. Thank you Elaine for your hospitality, we can’t wait to come back.

Stayed at lochwood farm last night and although I never leave reviews I felt I needed to this time. The host went above and beyond to make sure it was a lovely stay for us we couldnt have asked for anything more. I think it's very rare now to get more than you expect so we were very pleasantly surprised at all the personal touches left for us. The place was immaculate, had everything we needed and more. The bath and shower are amazing, the bed is huge, couch is super comfy and breakfast was yum! The hot tub and view is just beyond perfect, if I wasnt already married I'd have thought my husband was going to propose as it felt very special. I dont want to stay anywhere else now I'm ruined, thanks for a wonderful stay to the owners.

Thank you so much for choosing to come and stay here and also for writing such a lovely review. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the courtyard Chocolate and Champagne themed suite, the outdoor hot tub and of course breakfast. We get a few marriage proposals here every year at Lochwood and it's great to read that people consider us to be a special place. Although you are already married, I hope that your husband will now be bringing you here for other occasions like a birthday or wedding anniversary - hint, hint !!! Thank you once again for letting me know and we look forward to meeting you both again, best wishes, Elaine

My partner and I stayed in the chocolate theme suite and had an AMAZING time. We arrived and was greeted by Elaine who gave us a demo of the hot tub and shown to our suite. Due to COVID restrictions Elaine couldn’t come into the suite with us but explained where everything was. Elaine offered warm scone or Christmas pudding, I took the scone and it was delicious!! The place was spotless and beautiful. The underfloor hearing and fireplace and decor made it so cosy and inviting. The bed was huge and so comfortable. Bathroom Was huge with what I can only describe as a shower cupboard! And bath made for 2. Elaine provided lots of treats, biscuits, fondue set, crisps, chocolates, hot drink options as well as butter, yogurt and milk in the small fridge. The small fridge also was useful for chilling the beverages we brought along :) The hot tub has no time restrictions so can be used at 2am if you want. It was magical being in hot tub on a cold evening with all the stars and twinkling lights in the distance. The hot tub is across a small driveway like road. It’s set behind huge bushes and timber fencing meaning it’s wonderfully private. Robes are provided so just bring shoes to slip on and off, the dash back to the cosy suite made it fun! Due to covid, breakfast was brought to our door. It was delivered bang on the time requested and we had this in our suite. I actually think this is great as could have breakfast without having to get ready! Breakfast was beautifully cooked and super tasty. All in all it was a such relaxing romantic stay and we are looking to come back for a summer stay :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a great review. It is great to read how much you enjoyed your stay here and loved the hot tub, breakfast and home baking. The Chocolate and Champagne themed suite is very warm and cosy and with the open fire is a lovely place to relax in the middle of winter ! As noted, due to Covid we have obviously had to adapt the way everything is run but we try to make it as near normal as is possible. Thank you once again for staying and we look forward to meeting you again when restrictions are lifted and we are permitted to reopen, kind regards, Elaine
