Even if you don't want to throw yourself off a bridge this is an awesome place to stay. The team building and activities staff are thoroughly professional, friendly, approachable and kind. The tents are comfortable and spacious and the grounds immaculately kept and very beautiful. We hiked, climbed, abseiled and canyoned and it was all brilliant. Food and coffee were excellent. An outstanding location.

My wife and I stayed in the Last Resort for 6 nights at 10th-16th January.
Highly recommended, lovely and professional staff, the activities such as Canyoning, rafting, bungy, swing etc all world class and their guides and staff are well trained and experienced.
The tents number 1-4 close to bungy view have very gorgeous gorge view, only one flaw is the shower is hot but water very small, better take shower during 3-5 pm.

Visited Last Resort over the last weekend, 5th visit now. Infact this has turned out to be a yearly atleast once kick-starter without fail. Turned up this time with a large bunch of work colleagues for a quick adrenaline rush weekend and all off them thoroughly enjoyed and have been on the topic all throughout hence.
I have never faced downsides at the Last Resort, possibly because i have been here before and hence better understand the way of life here. The place is not for the finicky types or so called traveller who falls for the term Resort and expects to be mollycoddled at every beck and call.
The landslide is massive, however the temporary tracks which are in place now meant we could travel via Bus and did not have to fortunately do a forced trek.
My thanks to the staff, with Merina from Sales, Manish at Reception, Bungy Master Prakash Pradhan, Rafting Guide Achyut, and few others that I fail to recollect names of.
See you soon again guys!

Great food, unique lodging (tents) and thrilling activities. We wish we could've stayed longer.
There are clean toilets and showers, as well as a sauna (great!) and spa center.
Bungee, canyoning, swinging, rafting... I'd recommend it all, if only to extend your stay at TLR.
We met many friendly travelers and
Tip - Hike down the bluff, past the village, to the river below for some great views and photo-ops.
Namaste!

Our group stayed at The Last Resort after two and a half weeks in TIbet. It was a wonderful place to stay. The food was delicious, the bathrooms were clean and fully stocked with tons of toilet paper and the tents were very comfortable. After a massage I melted in to my bed and slept like a log to the sound of crickets and tree frogs. I highly recommend it!

I had visited this place with my friend. We had booked the ticket online and went ourselves to the Bunjy place. The Bunjy experience was unforgettable and the instructors were so kind, humble and professional however what makes me disappointed is, I paid for video and pictures for two. Myself I successfully had bunjy experience but my friend did not do it. I received only video and pictures for me but not for my friend. I know he could not do it but that does not mean his picture and video were not taken which make me no sense to receive only video and pictures for me only as i paid for two. When i inquire with thamel office, they said to me that as per their record that they re fund the money for one. I am the one who paid for and all the time my friend was with me, whom did they re fund???? What happened is happened already. I am writing this review to make you all aware to travelers as well as the last resort team so that it won’t happen in future with anybody!
For sure, i will write another review for appreciating your instructors!

From the moment we reached this place amid slight drizzle, I still remember those steps we took to cross the hanging bridge with the most fierce river Bhotekoshi flowing way below us. The resort is amazingly calm and peaceful, Nepali food they served was much better than any other resort. Whole night we spent in the tent with the soothing river sound knowing we have to jump off that 160m high bridge. I think it was the best atmosphere you can get before an amazing bungy jump and various other activities.

We were here just 2 days ago. First of all we want to warn you about a landslide. Because of that landslide you need to walk (normally the bus will drive you all the way to the resort) for about 15 to 20 minutes. Not that far at all but the point is; they don't mentioned it whilst booking. Not to anyone and not even if you book at their office (face to face)! So be prepared for carrying your own luggage and put on some good walking shoes. This landslide is enormous and won't be gone the next few months.
When arriving at the resort you'll love the setting and surroundings, unbeatable. You can jump, swing or start relaxing in the beautiful garden. The jumps and swings are done really professional and save.
Unfortunately for us, that's why we give only 2 'stars', there was this Nepalese teambuilding group of about 50 Nepalese people... And here comes the downside; they're loud, noisy and everything was adapted for them. The food (only Nepalese food during lunch, dinner, breakfast!? and lunch...) was specially made for them. The cook told us that they normally have different kind of food but because there were more Nepalese people then Western people we had to adapt... O.k...
Before they're quiet and we could sleep or even quietly read a book it was around 11 PM. But hey, who wants to spoil their teambuilding? In the morning they woke up at 5:30 AM!? We stayed in tents and I think they don't know they're made of plastic and fabric... Not bricks...
So not a resort for us at all. No chilling or relaxing what so ever.... And for the amount we payed we weren't satisfied at all.

LINDA HENRICA HENDRIKS JERRY Hi Linda and Jerry, It is really unfortunate that you did not get what you expected from The Last Resort. However, I would like to clarify a few things: I think you are very mistaken about booking with us directly. You booked through a travel agency called “Black Diamond Expeditions”. We are very certain that we mention the landslide to everyone including suggestions like, wear walking shoes, carry light bags, bring a water bottle etc. This is not something we will forget to mention because we have lost a lot of friends because of this landslide. We always mention this to all agents or clients that come to our sales office. However, I just want to remind you that you did not book directly with us “face to face” as you have mentioned in your review. There were 32 teambuilding participants but I find mentioning their nationality a bit irrelevant. I am really sorry that they were loud and noisy. We will try and manage this a little better in the future. I did consult a few other costumers and they said it was fine as the noise was only until 10.30pm. But I agree that you were there to just chill and relax and noises like that can not be justifiable. We will improve this immediately. We will give more thoughts into the meals as well. Yes, we should have had continental meals as well. That is what we usually do and we will insure that we will keep doing this in the future and thank you for letting us know. However, Please note that, Nepal does not have Nepali breakfast. I am sorry but we did serve you continental breakfast with toasts, jams, butter, muesli, curd, hash brown, fresh fruits etc. Your first lunch was Nepali, Dinner was chinese, breakfast was continental and the last lunch was Nepali again. I agree, we should not have served you two Nepali lunches as that is not our policy. You guys were there relax and obviously you were not very relaxed and we are sorry for that. We will take all your suggestions and advises into consideration and take stronger strides into giving better services.

If we had only booked for the bungee and a nights stay then the rating would be higher. However, as we booked primarily for hiking/trekking (the 4 day trek from the Last Resort to Chhagam and back) a poor rating is possibly generous. After an early start, we arrived at the resort with everyone else at 10am. We were told to then wait until lunchtime when we would set off around 1ish. Unfortunately, at this time our guide informed us that our sherpas were still travelling from Kathmandu and we ould be a little late. Eventually at 3.30pm we spoke to the manager who told us they would be setting off at 4pm at the latest. At 4.30pm we eventually set off for a whole 30 minutes of hiking before pitching camp within sight of the resort (a total waste of a day). The next day we hiked for a total of two hours before being told we had reached our lunch stop (at 10.30 am), a 3 hour lunch break was followed by another hour and a half of trekking before we set up camp for the evening. In the end, we finished the '4 day' hike a day early and considering we hiked for all of 30 minutes the first day, the '4 day' hike could easily have been done in 2 days by anyone of reasonable fitness. The guide and sherpas were all friendly enough (but had very limited English), the food provided was okay - if you dont mind semi cooked chips - and the views were amazing but I feel we could have saved a lot of time (and money) by using another company. Shame, as the accommodation at the Last Resort is good and the bungee we did after our 'trek' was amazing.

There are probably public buses, but not comfortable or simple to take......would probably need a few changes, and a lot more time. And ability to speak Nepali!
Private-hired vehicles - either a taxi from Kathmandu, or The Last Resort's own vehicle. Taxis you'd have to bargain/haggle - I've no idea what's a reasonable rate though. And because the road is so bad towards The Last Resort, many taxis may not be keen to go anyway.
I'd give The Last Resort's vehicle a second thought?!........
Hi! For Bungy and White water rafting overnight stay, you will first arrive at the resort and do bungy on the first day. The next day after breakfast you will check out from the resort and leave for rafting. After rafting, you will have lunch and return to Kathmandu.
Hi Sharmin, The journey to The Last Resort is about 4 hours. We recommend you to reach there by 9 am. We cannot guarantee you the time beforehand, it completely depends on the number of jumpers and decision of the jumpmasters.
It takes 3hours to reach there and 3 more hours to get back to Thamel. I don’t think with the time constraint you can do the jump, if you can reschedule your flight cus even the journey towards the Last Resort is amazing and the jump is out of the world...
