Good overall overnight break. We have visited this hotel numerous times for the Spa whilst on a short break to Alton Towers Resort but never stayed at the hotel. We overall had a very positive experience. Hotel is lovely and very grand. We certainly will return. Areas for improvement: Room was a Deluxe Room which was meant to have bottles of water in the room, however these were not in the room. However when I questioned that at reception I was told "I already gave you those on check in"...no that was my Silver Status, not my in room water. A small thing, but really shouldn't need explaining. P.s. cans of water are really poor, low quality in comparison to what they should be. Our room 252 had a cracked tile on the floor which hurt my partners toe and the shower seal at the bottom of the door was nonexistant, so the whole bathroom was flooded. The restaurant had a couple of issues at dinner but were quickly resolved by the manager. I would however say too much wandering my the waiters/waitresses and not enough actually doing things efficiently. Also, why does only one of you PDQ machines accept AMEX, they are literally a major partner with Hilton! I hope the General Manager can read those comments and make the necessary improvements. We plan on returning later in the year, and also plan to cancel one of our other Hotels already booked to stay at the Hilton St Georges instead!

Tremendous stay, suite immaculate with sofa-bed already made and bathroom incredible. The food menu was pretty small but varied, although prices are a bit close to "taking the piss" food quality was good though. Would definitely do it again

This was our second time staying at St Georges. We chose it specifically this time to try out charging an electric vehicle on a long trip. There are not many charge points for the size of the hotel but we managed to get a space. Unfortunately, it was a complete faff. We had to download the VendElectric app and load the account with money before we could start charging. That was the only part that worked. (Come on Hilton, why can't you let your customers charge with a room key!) The app would not successfully start a charge. The lights on the charge never went solid green and the app just kept repeating "Charge not started yet". After many attempts over 30 minutes, we gave up. The person next to me had the same issue, along with a few others I spoke to. One person did manage to start a charge while we were trying. We may have been unlucky on the day. It is a shame as the hotel is a great place to stay. Our room was nice and the breakfast was good, but I would look elsewhere next time for more reliable charging.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay and my grandchildren love it here. Just the hotel grounds are a delight and although the weather was awful we managed to find plenty of places to visit and use the brilliant hotel facilities. The staff are so helpful and it has the best breakfast ever!

My husband Dave went in person to book a room at St George’s Park as a surprise for my 65th Birthday, as he is not very good with IT Mujeeb was very kind and helped him to set up an email address so I wouldn’t find out (he didn’t know he already had one ) the next day my husband thought it would be a good idea to book a surprise party so back he went and spoke to a lovely lady called Ange who, once she got over the shock of realising he was only giving 4 days notice she went out of her way to help Dave achieve this, after a couple of more visits and meeting Linda and Peter he had booked a room, private dining for 50 guests and flowers in the room and managed to keep everything a secret. On arrival we were greeted like VIP’s and they made me feel very special, the room was wonderful with a plate decorated with happy birthday some fruit and chocolate brownies, the flowers from Dave were beautiful we went to the spa which is lovely, Sauna, Steam room and pool. Went back to the room and got dressed for dinner, stopping off in the executive lounge for a drink Andy Chan was very nice and took a photo. We then made our way to what I thought was a table for two, to be met on opening the door to 50 of my family and friends, I can honestly say I have never been so surprised. After a very relaxed sleep in a very comfy bed and a beautifully presented breakfast I had a relaxing back and neck massage which I highly recommend. All in all the customer service and treatment from all staff we interacted with was very friendly and helpful.

The day before arrival, we received a lovely welcoming email as a Hilton honours memeber. Great! Day of arrival, all our party were checking in from 11.30. We could not check in till gone 3. We ate lunch at hotel. It was pricey for what it was but appreciate it’s a captured audience. Room very clean but disappointing we had a roll out z bed. V thin mattress for an older teenager. We were told we had an upgrade. Not sure what that was. There was an executive lounge which the coffee machine did not work as there was no water in the machine anytime in our stay. Instead we had to use Starbucks each day. Went to bar for pre dinner drinks. Was asked to sit down to be served. No one served us. Asked a lonely looking waitress and she said she could not take orders. Barman stood there doing nothing. We could not get a drink. We eventually asked the barman if we could skip table service as there was none. Booked restaurant. Our table was under the air con and next to glass external wall . Staff were accommodating in moving us. We waited over 20 mins for 3 bottles of wine and a gin and tonic. We asked 4 Times for water. The service was not joined up and poor. As a gesture we were given a portion of onion rings. The bill was several hundred pounds with a £55 service charge. This was unacceptable and should never come to the table. It was removed. For what should of been an easy evening, walking from your room to the restaurant it was hard work. Bedroom was clean and bathroom had great power to the water supply. Strange taps when you have to duck under to see where to turn the fancy tap on. Breakfast had a nice variety. We have stayed here previously and this time the service really did let the entire stay down. We spent a lot of money in the hotel and it was not a memorable positive experience. To stay in the Hilton is convenient to St George’s Park but if you can’t get the service then you may as well look to stay in other local hotels where the accommodation, food and drink is more reasonably priced.

I came with my mother for a business trip. I had an online meeting at 3pm. I tried to check in at 14.45 and the front desk lady named ANGE, explained the room wasn’t ready and wasn’t bothered about my meeting at 3pm. Check in time is at 3pm , so I delayed my meeting to 15.15…. Imagine I am still waiting at 15.45 to be checked in. I miss my meeting… I complain about the situation and instead this ANGE wanted £10 extra for my mother to stay for “breakfast”. I explained that she is not having breakfast and said “it’s an extra person so it’s £10”. I am happy to pay and stuff but this was highly inappropriate in the middle of a complaint. And then the icing on the cake was she was speaking to her colleges and telling them about the situation so I could also hear . How unprofessional! Rude behaviour and no people skills!
