Highly recommended. The staffs were very friendly, warm and helpful. They were so eager to assist when we need it. The room was fresh, clean and airy. Very convenient and easy to reach the hotel because the bus station is outside the hotel.
We plan to come back and stay at the hotel again.
Although it is close to the main but the room is quiet and cozy.
On our last day of our stay, we left the hotel with a heavy heart.
Hope to see you again! xxx

Me and my partner stayed here because we were travelling on a budget and could not afford anywhere more central. The hotel was lovely, very clean, a nice big, bright room and very helpful reception staff. There is not much around the hotel, there is a street around a 10 minute walk away with a few bars and cafes but nothing too exciting.

Venice is easily reachable by bus. The hotel staff emailed us telling us exactly what bus to get and which stop to get off at. The busses came around every half hour and ran until about 11pm. The bus journey took around 40 minutes or up to an hour at rush hour, they were generally quiet in a morning but very busy in an afternoon and evening, meaning we often had to stand up. You can purchase a bus ticket which covers the bus to the hotel as well as water busses for around 3 days. These are fairly expensive but are still cheaper than paying for a central hotel.

In hindsight I would opt to splash out and pay for a central hotel, as the bus travel did eat into our time in Venice considerably, especially on days where we opted to go back to the hotel to get changed before heading back to Venice in the evening. You need to be aware of these things before booking.

However, the hotel itself could not be faulted. It was very clean and and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Just be aware that if you are looking for a hotel close to Venice this is not the one for you.

My partner and I returned a week ago from a lovely weekend break to Venice. We were allocated a place at this hotel following poor customer service prior to our visit from a different hotel.
The hotel was approx 40 minutes from the centre of Venice but was easily accessible on the 53E bus route which ran regularly at a cost of €8pp return. Whilst the commute wasn't ideal, it gave us the opportunity to see other little towns which was nice. We had to be vigilant on our return though as seeing the hotel in the dark through the bus window was tricky until we got our bearings. It really wasn't a problem though.
The room was simple, clean and comfortable and was all we needed considering how little we were in it.
The breakfast was more than the croissant and coffee we had expected so was a nice surprise. It was simple but very nice and the 2 ladies who served us were very friendly and attentive.
The aforementioned ladies also manned reception and were really lovely. They were helpful with bus routes and were generally very amenable and polite.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel.

It was absolute waste of time and money to stay in this place. Firstly it says its 20min by car. We tried, car, bus and train. All take more than 45min. So it is not 20min from venice as it says on the website. The amount of time and money you will spend in travelling to Dolo, I would advice you to stay in Venice itself, even if you have to pay a bit more. We came across very rude staff. The receptionist who checked us in was very rude. At breakfast we were served milk which had gone off. We were charged extra for our two and a half year old daughter. They did not provide anything extra for her. Not even a towel. Everything is extra even your breakfast. When we calculated the amount of money we spent in this hotel including extras, we could have afforded a decent hotel similar to this one in Venice. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Response from GMHotelCaTron, Proprietario at Hotel Ca 'Tron

It's just not what they show on the website, firstly it's 25 kilometers far from Venice, a bus ride is 1 and half hour and costs 7 euros.
The rooms are tiny and very basic facilities, dirty bedding and unfriendly staff, there was just one man present during morning breakfast(which is not included in the price of the room) and he was completely ignoring almost everyone. Me and my wife requested him to help us print our return tickets, although he let us use his computer but stood on our head and kept telling us it won't work and eventually we gave up.
Will never go there again and will not recommend it to anyone.

lovely hotel, hotel staff extremely pleasant and helpful, couldn't do enough for you. Unfortunately, we were given incorrect estimate of distance between Venice and hotel was a lot more than quoted. Bus journey , 50mins, buses tend to be very crowded and stop around 10pm not giving you a lot of scope for eating out in Venice itself. Taxi' quite expensive. Dolo is a very quiet village, unfortunately not a lot happening or places to eat. We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we were passing through. Hotel very well presented and well run.

We were welcomed by a very friendly and articulate young lady who made sure we had all information we could need including details of the best restaurants in Dolo.

The room was well decorated in a more minimalist Venetian style with pleasant views out on to an agricultural crop field with views of the adjacent lake. The room was very clean, comfortable, well ventilated and bright. It made a very nice place to rest having come from a stressful long journey at the airport.

The next day we visited the gorgeous city of Padua/Padova, a journey which took about 30 minutes by bus.

MY other half and I stayed here last week . We were early but the staff let us check in early. The lovely girl who welcomed us, also was very helpful with information about Venice. Also they allowed us to check out an hour later at no extra charge which was amazing. Having the bikes available for us to cycle into Dolo was brilliant, really added to our trip. Only downside was room was quite hot, due to a heated towel rail which wouldn't turn down

Dolo itself was beautiful, perfect to come back to out of the hussle and bussle of Venice. Also very good value for money, much cheaper than Venice and the food was very high standard.

Would definately return to Hotel and Dolo. Thank you.....

Great rooms, clean and maintained.
Staff was really helpful, spoke good english and extremely kind.
I don't think Dolo is such a great point to stay if you want to visit Venice - about 45-55 minutes by bus,
But it's got nothing to do with the hotel.
Hotel location in Dolo is OK, better by car but not so far from bus station.
