On arrival we were put into a classic room when we had paid for a deluxe room, but no one told us until we challenged them.We then confronted the manager who said he wouldn't give any compensation and we would need to stay in the classic room for 3 nights, eventually he reluctantly gave us 36 euros which we were discussed with.Breakfasts were bland and taxies are unable to get near the hotel because it's a car free area, difficult for older people carrying suit cases a 100 yards.

Superb views across the square and harbour. Room was lovely although only 5 or 6 hangers. Not enough for 2 people for a week. We had the suite with panoramic views and outdoor jacuzzi. Unfortunately we didn't use the jacuzzi as it appeared dirty with scum lines. 2 of the receptionist were lovely and the lady we saw sometimes in the evening with blonde curly hair. The hairdryer was not fit for purpose for such an expensive vacation. The safe didn't work on arrival but was sorted with some new batteries. Breakfast was the usual free for all with gannets piling up their plates and usually leaving half of it. Juice only available a few days out of the 7. Cleaner took our pass key from our room and when we questioned this the housekeeper denied it. Then it miraculously turned up again after one receptionist said we would be charged, even though we didn't lose it in the first place. Bed was too soft. Water bottles in the fridge were said to be replenished everyday and they weren't. Toiletries should have also been replenished for such a luxury suite. We had to ask at receptionist for more soap. Best thing was the view and balcony plus some of the reception ladies. All being said, we would stay at Aenos Hotel Kefalonia again if some improvements were made.

We had already booked flights to Kefalonia and stumbled across the Aenos Hotel in our search for accommodation that offered a good location plus comfort and service. ......And we found it .... What a lovely Hotel and what amazing staff!! I can honestly say that we were more than looked after from beginning to end - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was the Pentehouse suite with panoramic balcony and jacuzzi/hot tub. It was very clean, tidy and extremely comfortable. The hotel is situated overlooking the main square , which we did not find at all noisy even though it was busy. The balcony also offered the most amazing views of the sea and lagoon with the stunning hills as a picturesque backdrop. It is very clear that the owners are very proud of their establishment and quite rightly so ..... we arrived as visitors but left ....tearfully ....as friends. We would not hesitate to return to The Aenos and will definitely go back in the future. Thank you so much Nikolas, Loukas, Pantelis and your wonderful team. From Wendy & Neil Sayers (Devon, UK) x.x.x

I can't say enough good things about my experience at the Aenos Hotel. Every single member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect experience in Argostoli. From booking airport transportation, to providing excellent recommendations and directions, to giving us fresh towels and an umbrella to take to the beaches, to bringing drinks and snacks directly to our room, the service is unparalleled. The breakfast is fresh and delicious- don't skip on the homemade jam, fresh Greek yogurt granola and Turkish figs. Fresh eggs cooked every way! We enjoyed Aperol spritzes or local wine and beer every night for happy hour. The rooms are spacious and spotless with gorgeous views of the town and water. The hotel is conveniently located in the town square, walking distance to so many amazing restaurants and shops. We walked to one nearby beach (Makris Gialos Beach) and were able to drive (around 45 min) to Mirtos and Antisamos. Most of all, though, the staff at the Aenos is so incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. Every single person went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming to us, happy to help with our every request and question. When we left I was genuinely sad to say goodbye, and I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend to every person visiting Argostoli!

We arrived very late at night, and the male receptionist was just fantastic. He took our bags and settled us in straight away with a glass of wine and calmed us right down (we had been travelling for a while!) A beautiful, clean hotel in the middle of Argostoli. The room was small, but we had a lovely view of the town on the balcony. Fresh water and towels every morning, AC was great, WIFI was great. Would love to know the name of the orange olive oil soap in the bathroom! Thank you, we will definitely be staying again and have recommended it to everyone we know :)

Very comfortable friendly hotel, perfectly positioned - 10 metres from the main square with its easygoing restaurants and bars, and 100 metres from the bay ( more bars and restaurants.). Taxi rank across the square, interesting little museums and great pedestrianised shopping streets nearby. Our room was pristine with a lovely comfy bed and quality bedlinens, small but beautifully marbled bathroom and handy balcony. Even had usb sockets in the wall. Hotel has a lift, breakfast room and bar and is spotless. Staff all helpful and friendly, and a special thanks to Eleni. Fine hotel in a really interesting and friendly town, and we were so glad we stopped off here for a few enjoyable days.

Great hotel in the square in argostoli. Helpful, friendly staff. Hotel was convenient location, very clean and comfortable. Panos on the reception was particularly helpful and Spiros in the bar area was superb. If you are visiting from the Uk and you like a cuppa sadly there was no kettle in the room but hot drinks available at breakfast and evening bar area. Situated less than a stone’s throw from the sea and sea turtles regularly show up when the fishing boats are in . Also a short drive from the airport. Overall my husband and I were very impressed and would highly recommend

The perfect spot on the town square. A beautiful hotel with excellent staff. We had a junior suite with double aspect balconies. Very spacious and modern. A special mention to Panos who was very helpful throughout and fixed my son with a room when his EasyJet flight was cancelled at 23.20.

The hotel is in a lovely location and the restaurant was really good… However… Our bathroom door handle was broken, we reported this straight away to reception who came to look and said maintenance would come and fix it asap. They never showed up, and we couldn’t use the bathroom! The smell of sewage in our room was awful. Wouldn’t stay again, far too expensive for what it was!
