2nd time staying here. Can recommend for short break with car. Excellent meal in evening and breakfast is ample. English can be a problem. You can drive to Beach in 1/2 hr, excellent v. cheap train to Rome central, you can walk to Ariccia for porchetta.

The hotel is one of the few in Albano Lanziale and located in what could be a very nice environment with an old villa and large garden grounds… In fact, it must be hard to maintain it as a family business because the owners do not take advantage of the environment. The reception has old and tired couches, the reception...

Suggested because of: staff kindness, location, good compromise between quality and price. I really appreciated the staff kindness and courtesy. Wonderful view on Rome. What can be improved is the room furniture being old.

Old structure, dusty, really sad breakfast options, wifi free but only a fraction of the rooms are reached by the signal... There is not much competition for hotels in the area, and the management takes advantage of the market. The place has potential for charm, but renovations are badly needed. This is a hotel that would not suit everybody...but we loved it. It's got character and it's own church on the first floor. Some people would say it looks tired and needs re-furnishing but we thought it added to its charm. It was built 300 years ago for a cardinal. The staff have definitely got the right attitude...nothing is too...
