If you’re looking for hotels in Somerset that don’t compromise on quality and comfort, the Bear Inn is the perfect choice. It’s located in the bustling village of Street in Somerset, just two miles from Glastonbury and is a five minute walk from the Clark's Village shopping centre. Our country pub is home to cosy corners to relax in, set in peaceful surroundings, with a beer garden, to make the most of beautiful weather. Our guests can choose from 24 rooms in the inn or our stunning Blossom Cottage, which is a short distance away, down the road. Guests benefit from free parking. Enjoy an exciting menu in relaxed surroundings, including our speciality rotisserie chicken; it’s seasoned and then flame-roasted to perfection and accompanied by a great selection of side dishes. All of our rotisserie chicken is Red Tractor farm-assured, freshly prepared. Find a great wine selection, as well as a range of soft drinks and spirits. We boast an excellent selection of cask ales, from Marston’s five breweries. Stopping by for business? Book one of our two function rooms, perfect for meetings. Alongside free wifi throughout the hotel, enjoy deliciously fresh pub classics from our menu. You will have everything you need for a great stay, whether it’s for business or leisure. Sleep soundly in a kingsize Hypnos bed, on the Beaumont mattress, which is filled with a wool-silk mix and has a surface which regulates your body’s temperature. You’ll never be bored here. Enjoy the beautiful views of Glastonbury Tor. Explore Cheddar Gorge. You’ll see great live entertainment at Glastonbury Abbey and the world-famous Glastonbury Festival.

Very welcoming staff, great food, comfortable bed, nice shower and bang opposite Clark’s village. Just to add parking is plentiful and free, we found the whole experience to be a pleasant one. Stayed here a few years back and we felt things have improved a lot. Value for money.

Property's Favourite Review
We were warmly welcomed by the guy in the bar/ check in. A friendly chat followed by giving us the key to the room and directions to it. We had already booked for an evening meal and we were not disappointed either with the warm and professional service. The food was very well cooked, to our liking, and there was plenty of it. Breakfast was just as good. I would throughly recommend this hotel. We will be going back.

Probably in your best interest to not advertise 6 people or two households when you refuse to seat two households. Accordingly there isn't enough room to seat 7 at a table made for 8? It's no wonder the place is empty the majority of the time. I hope you really enjoy the thrill of ruining birthdays. Bring back the 2015 management!

We booked for a couple and a child. When we arrived we were told the room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. After we booked in we were given keys to Blossom cottage. It smelt, it was very shabby and needed a deep clean. There was no bedding for our granddaughter to use. When my Husband complained he was told that someone would bring some bedding. After my Husband said he felt it was unfit to sleep in we were given a room in the main hotel. Although this was a little better, it still wasn’t as clean as expected it to be and the room was not of the standard we expected. We had booked an evening meal only to be told that there was no record of it. They did find us a table and the meal was fine. I really feel for the poor staff who are working hard to keep customers happy in such a poor environment. The only apology we got was from the young staff and nothing from Management, even when booking out. A really poor experience that we won’t be doing again.

Terrible service, rooms not ready, families cannot sit near each other for a meal even though tables are distanced, although they can seat strangers close to on those tables, really rude manager and evicted us from restaurant because we complained he also threatened to evict us from our rooms (even though they were already paid for) the whole experience with Marston has not been good, would NEVER book with them again.
